Started into the Yamato 1/48 line very recently with the stealth type. And without me noticing it, I have more 1/48 than my 1/60 and HMR now I think. Here are a few latest additions. The 1S strike is nice enough, wondering if I will keep my DX 1S (if my order didn't get cancelled that is) when it arrived. Still looking for the city camo GBP version.

As long as it is not the same PO madness as with Bandai DX line, then it is good. That is the only thing that I worry about. Since I start collection earlier this January, I have had ZERO success with PO of the DX VF-1 line.

What ebay sale? Missed it. Are they harder to fit than the non-KO version?

I have a Yamato 1/48 that has yellowed somewhat. Brought a bottle of the liquid form (instead of gell, not sure why now but maybe trying to get good coverage) to try fixing it. A bit concern about the sticker that had been applied. Any advice? Removing and reapplying these will be a huge PITA.

Thanks for the link. This is interesting. There are 5 Max's sold at 22K by this " sound0626" user just on the first page. Wow. One of the sellers sold his PO right for 2,500 yen and the total cost for this Max from him is (from his calculation): 2,500 + 18,450 + 500 (domestic postage) + 200 (payment fee) = 21,650 Margin is down to just about 2,500 yen now. I am in the bay area too. If you have a spare Max, will be nice to do a local trade.

In this case, I will only be away for two weeks. I have forwarded mail a few times when I moved and that was super easy, very nice service from USPS. Maybe they also have an "on holiday" service, where they will hold your mail/packages for your local PO for a few days. That will be great. Will google.

My standing with NY could be a potential reason for the treatment I get from them. I have only placed two orders ever and canceled the first one. So, I am not exactly a "valued" customer I guess. I will need to rely on a kind neighbor to take care of my package if it does arrive when I am away. Just need to keep track of it.

My request for address change after payment was also rejected by NY. Reason: can't change after payment. Now I am risking the package arriving when I am away on holiday (was trying to change it to my work address).

If you been refreshing every hour then you deserve it more than I do. I have only been checking that page every other day. Really happy that a member here got it. I hope the eBay seller I paid will deliver.

Thanks for sharing these photos. These do look bad. 3-D printing some better pylon will be nice. Not sure I have the skills to pull it off. Edit: Forget to mention that when I open and look at the missile pack, I noticed (at least for the reaction missiles) that the pylon need to be inserted into the missile, can it be possible to glue some white plastic to the end of the existing pylon so that we don't need to insert them as much? Will that works?

After watching this. I feel that the price (especially MSRP) asked for these toys are very reasonable, given the effort involved in producing them. Feel bad if low paying labour are involved to reduce the price.

I know very little. Sharing just my experience: They put up a page with the coming soon status a few hours prior to the start of PO. There is a statement on top saying this is a special page due to expected high traffic. No explanation of what so special about it. I was on the page, and as far as I see, it never changes its status to allow PO. The after a few minutes, I see the link to a different amiami page that you can PO posted here by a kind member.

I see. Thanks for the explanation. Now I need to decide if I want more SPP and if I do, NY and other proxy stores will be an option. How many should I get??? is the question. I am still in the buy first and ask question later mode, after my failure to get anything at MRSP for this line. Including the missile set, which is entirely my own fault. I keep sitting on the fence until it is way too late. I do want to avoid missing out.

It is still a Max that I remember you said you really like. Maybe wait till you receive it and see how you like it in real life. If you decided to sell it after that (even with not MIB anymore), I am pretty sure you can recover your cost with no problem. I am still looking to get one DX Max, so if you are serious about selling, please let me know. The current price on Yahoo is about 25,000 yen before international shipping.

Yeah, members here have already helped me figure that out. So my money should be pretty safe, but if he cancel last minute and sell the item for a much higher price to get more profit, I have no power to stop him. This is making me nervous, but I still go for it because it seems like a good deal at the time. But I wonder how it will turn out in 6 months.
