@Sanity is Optional The red one? Am I right? Yoko Kanon's music is so good. I have a kit, but have no time to build it yet. Yours looks great. -

VF-31A and YF-30..... I keep asking myself, how much am I willing to pay for a pair of these. Wanted them so much. An reissue will be great but I don't think it will come true. So checking second hand stores for a good price is my only choice I guess. -
I have no idea. I guess there are also Macross fans in China that are closer to the source and I am sure they feel that same way about getting valkyrie factory to mild the mold. So whatever it is, the development of a new variant even with the existing mold must be non trivial (due to whatever limitation) and require a good size demand to justify starting one. Otherwise, we would have seen flood of offer from them. But bear in mind that the quality is not up to the same standard as Yamato/Arcadia. Mine copy have problem with the knee and ankle joints. Just not as firm as the original. I would still buy one of each if they offer those rare variants (Angle bird!!!!!).

I ditched Ebay and go directly to PayPal. Maybe it is not a bad idea to do that too (if you do pay with PayPal). Good luck. I wonder if PayPal can get its money back. Otherwise whoever stolen the account get the fund, but PayPal (or its underwriter/insurance) will have to fork up the bill. I need to be more careful on too good to be true deal in future. Don't want to feed these thieves.

I am keeping an eye on Aliexpress to see if the value in USD will drop 10%. The handling of these are not as good as Yamato/Arcadia. The joints are a bit "soggy", if you know what I mean. But for just display, it is up to the PF quality. So I don't mind picking up one or two more. If the non PF version (mainly just saw Roy version with non-PF treatment) are available for a good price (normally USD60 before shipping in taobao), it will be good for customization practice.

So sorry to hear this. When I was living in UK, this is the most dreaded thing for me when I buy my hobby items.

@Vifam7 Thanks for the review and photos, very helpful. From what I can gather from the photos, the KC version seems to compare pretty well (in terms of details at least). Overall, being transformable and all, it seem to be the winner. I would love to hear your view on this as having both at hands, you can judge much better. Thanks again.

Looking great. The tiny helmet under the SD Milia is super nice. Good luck with your plan, hope the PG01 Max will work out well. I have one unbuilt, might follow your example. -
@vlenhoff Nice setup. Love the super vf-1D. I will steal the super pack from my vf-1A and do the same.

Is this the most widely available after release of all the VF-31? Very small markup too. Edit: is this turning into a shelf warmer.

Nice! Waiting to see this with some Tomahawks!

I agree. Compare to Hasegawa 1/72 marking, these does have rooms for improvement. Now that I look at the photo from @tekering again, I wonder how Bandai painted these such that there is no black paint under the white lettering? I am guessing white on black will show shadow so they have to mask or shape the tampo of the black to avoid the problem. Extra cost. Also strange that the white paint come off while the black is not affected by the thinner used. Using different type of paint for white and black? Obviously I have no clue about tampo printing process.
-
If I remember correctly, there is no repainting of the black. The white is applied on top of the black striping. Need to find the link to @tekering's post. Edit: my memory failed me. I found the link, and I was wrong.

Up again for 20K, time limited summer sale. Edit: @Bolt beats me to it.

I can't even do as good as for first version. But your second version looks better. Your DX 1J result is the best.
-
Thanks. Took advantage of this. Very good shipping rate for DHL.

Let it be Tomahawk please. I will get multiple.

I am really curious about how these look in person. The 2190 yen price tag is attractive.... hmm...
-
It surely looks nice. One quick question if I may, these are die-cast? so the surface/material is metal? Is the panel line crisp?
-
HLJ have also not taken payment.
