  1. I thought the bump was supposed to be white. <_<
  2. The post seems more cynical than serious. I heard that the second line was something that Shawn liked, so I'll be leaning to megazone23 more than Galvion. Personally, I'm still holding out for some BGC hardsuits and some motorslaves. Graham, you can let us know any day now
  3. Thanks for clearing that up. Here's one more I think you might like... -- ware wa muteki nari! wa ga kagewaza ni kanau mono nashi! wa ga ichigeki wa muteki nari! Kagewaza? Sounds like shadow skill.
  4. Ahh yes... Whining, the official sport of Macrossworld.
  5. Sounds good to me.
  6. Tatsu is the true Japanese word for dragon. Ryuu is the Japanese by way of Chinese word for dragon.
  7. Basically it says round 2 of this ongoing lawsuit has gone to Tatsunoko yet again. However in another seperate lawsuit, the rights to the original characters and designs used in the series has been awarded to Studio Nue.
  8. Nobody knows. He went to the center of the galaxy along with Misa and Minmei and was never heard from again. You can assume either, they lived happily ever after, or they died.
  9. I was wondering if Yamato would ever make an ostrich or elint 1/48. Great idea, but possibly plagued with more problems regarding the backpack.

    Macross Plus Toys

No doubt in my mind that Yamato can do better than the original line of Macross Plus toys, but I don't see it ever reaching the detail of the 1/48 line. You mention the Q-rau and the Monster, but just because they're in 1/60, you can't forget that the overall size of the two is ridiculously large. The Q-rau alone towers over a 1/60, and the Monster would probably tower over the Q-rau. Those two toys alone kind of make the whole, "1/60 is a better scale for those without space for 1/48!" arguement a little moot. I was playing around with my VF-11 the other day, and I was thinking about mucking it up, since I already broke one of the legs off of it. I started thinking about the normal fancy 1/48 gimmicks like working flaps and intake covers and I realized that with pieces that small, they'd be even more fragile. One possible way to strengthen something so small while increasing detail/moving parts is to add more metal. But then you have the negative side that the toy would be unnecessarily heavy (let's not confuse weight with physical durability) and be susceptible to the same heavy paint chipping we saw on the legs of the 1/60 VF-1's. I'd say a manageable size for HEAVY detail for M+ valkyries would most likely be something like 1/55 (I think?) or some other scale that puts them roughly on the same physical size as the 1/48 VF-1's. It's also totally realistic that someone at Yamato is crazy enough to create valk's in yet another scale.
  11. I like the Yamato better. Looks nicer with a tighter overall look. The Club-M is nice, but it looks a little lanky in some places.
  12. All i have to say is, "read your instructions." There was a post WITH PICTURES, on the backpack transformation. I'm a little too lazy to describe it, so you'll pardon me for not doing so... If I find the link to that post, I'll bring it back up here. --->8 snip snip Here we go. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...t=ST&f=4&t=1342

Yes Yes to reality or yes to hopeless fantasy?
  14. My goodness, that is one ugly kit.

    Your Valks

Ahh... hasegawa head. No wonder. I was looking at that and I was thinking, "man, those 1/60 heads are ridiculously small"
  16. Here we go... bored at work...
  17. That's fine with me! Gives my wallet a rest from all the Macross toys. I'm also somewhat happy that they're packaging it with Macross II, because I already bought the movie DVD when it came out a little while back. Macross II isn't the best show in the world, but it's fun enough for me, and I really hate bootlegs and crappy fansubs.
  18. Me too!
  19. Weak. I don't think much happened. A fire, some people injured... nothing like the 1995 one. Oh, yellowlightman, the article says Japan sits on 4 plates. (news to me!) That must suck. Earthquakes happen almost every day there. Usually they are weak sub 3.0 shocks that no one really feels. Once in a while you get one's around 5 that sway buildings. I was in Hiroshima in 2001 when they had a 5 or 6, and that wasn't very fun, especially since I was walking through a covered shopping mall.
  20. Yeah. It's not bad. It's good for giving weaker capital ships like frigates and destroyers a fighting chance against monsters like the Vagyr battle cruiser. Defense frigates are somewhat useless. I haven't figured out how to use them properly yet because the field goes offline quite quickly and once you throw them into battle, they're usually the first thing the enemy goes for, and these things can take very little punishment. Mine's are VERY good. They're just as good as they were in the first one... actually, I would say better, because now you're given the option of creating the location and size of the field of mines you want to deploy. However, each ship has a limited supply and you can't just LITTER the enter place with them like you could in Homeworld 1. I think each minelayer is allowed to drop three max. If they explode then the minelayer can make more, but they are only allowed to have 3 ACTIVE mines at once. Also, even though they have a forward mounted gun, they tend to like to just sit around and do nothing in the middle of a fight. In the end, the best way to to win is just through overwhelming force and constant buildup.
  21. Ever see an SV-51?
  22. That Max and Millia one is noice!
  23. Maybe there's hope for the 1/60 fastpack upgrade yet...
  24. Eh, I'm no Gundam fan. And the similarity is in the waist armor that resembles the "skirts" that are oh-so-characteristic of many of the mecha from Gundam.
