I gave in and bought the Sagitarius figure. nice toy, but I insist it is kinda girly. Well... pretty gay to be honnest. I guess i will stick to the Hades figures if they ever come out.

LOL! Funny pics! Congrats Man. I had my own little beast last year. And yes, they are a LOT of fun. And a LOT OF WORK! Poor optimus, I wonder if he will survive your kid. For now he means no threat to the Autobot leader... just wait, later you will have Optimus in pieces, no matter how much diecast and sturdiness this toy may have.

Actually the name is Dario Poli. My family is from Italy. the Valk D girls are looking really good!!!

what?? are you serious now? In fact, NO. I wasnt. But I will buy the that hades Saint, it looks totally amazing.

Sorry... the pic size whas HUGE, so I delete it. Later will post some decent pic.

do you have any pics of your repainted alpha? as well as a list of some of the things you have done to make it better. thanks chris Here is a bad pic. It is too dark in here and the camera flash make the toy look way too shiny. while the paint is matt. Buuuu It is still not finished, but this is what I have done so far. Main thing was to delete or soft the seam lines (you can see the chest and arm, no seam line, while in legs I just make it look a bit more decent ). Did not wanted to putty them all because I know later I will have to take him appart to fix it... The paint is a bit darker blue, rest is white. And it is MATT not super shiny. Lot of paint wear in the arms, too bad. Also the pannel lines are very thing. the flash kill them. In fact I dont know why I am posting this picture. It makes my alpha looks crappy.

The chrome blue was only a prototipe. I remember nobody liked the color. I am almost done with my Alpha... fixed a lot of the problems, and repainted. I wish my modelling skills where better...

Again... Neo. Good they say Im not a stupid bumbass... EDIT... maybe I am... I couldnt post the pic... LOL -
Yeah, totally awsome fanart... And that comic version looks hilarous!! very very nice Polidario... you have the same name as my uncle.... funny/

My main complain about the Alpha is its constuction and finishing. I mean, excess of glue, parts dont fits well, THOSE UGLY SEAM LINES.... When you check it carefully it looks like an Imai model built by a 10 years old kid. On the other hand the ingeneering of this toy is quite impressive. So I think of this toy as a model kit, and that is all. if you buy it you should take it appart, add putty on the gaps, sand the excess of material, fix all the bubbles and scratches included with the toy, prime and repaint the sucker. Then you will have a VERY nice Alpha. Sure it is not the idea we all have in mind while buying an expensive and completed toy, but what the hell, at least you dont have to cut the parts from the tree and it is a 1000x times sturdier than a model.

Yep, I totally agree with you Myersjessee, this thread is totally awsome. And I really want the scratch build description. I just cant figure out myself how to do this. Also, i need to see pictures of the finished thingie

The one that comes with the VF 1js are the TV vertions while the FP set you can buy separatelly is the DYRL vertion. Main difference are the color and the arm armors. You can check the toy reviews by graham for details.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Don't underestimate the power of Magnets!! If the VF-1 MPC was any indication, magnets are Toynami's failsafe when they can't figure out how to latch two parts together. Nah! I bet they will release a NEWLY sculpted Alpha than can attach with the Beta and both toys will be sell as a SET for about USD 250,00. but the good thing is for SURE Toynami will fix ALL the problems in the Alpha...

CONGRATS And she waaaay too good looking for you.

So my question is... WHY? do you... Buy toys that you knew were going to be crap? Buy toys for more money than they clearly are worth? Continue to buy more once you have one, and know that they are crap? I for one will not wast a single red cent on either of the aforementioned toys, at least not at their current price points. IMHO, they are both $20 toys at best. And subscribing to the philosophy that we have to buy toy A in the hopes of there being toy B is akin to greedily swallowing the nut that the toy company execs just busted down your throat. I can see you NEVER paid 800 for a Taka Chunky monkey. Now everybody likes to complain. WHY we buy. Because we LIKE to spend money in plastic ABS-Diecast and even PVC crap. What else?

I got mine today. Lucky me, mine is fine so far. Actually, I Love it, nice weight, poseability, details, sculpt Arms are floppy and it have some minor paint problems, nothing mayor. In fact I find this toy better MUCH better than the Yamato Hickaru 1/60 VF 1A. Yep it is small for the price but I still like it and I do not regret paying for this alpha at all. Hope they fix the problems in the next batch of alphas. In the meantime I will have to enjoy fixing this one.

What can we think?? Those cabinets are totally cool... what else can we think... But yep, I agree with you about the blue lights, they where better, nevertheless, the leds also looks super nice. But it kinda remember christmas eve. Very nice collection, and very very nice display cabinets you have there. I bet girls go crrrrrazy when you light up your toys at night...

Caught a burglar red-handed in my house!
Sebastian replied to Majestic's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Sorry man but in my oppinion no are nothing bt a VERY lucky guy. The burglar tuned to be a kid, and a wimp, you should be thankfull. Otherwise you should be injured (seriuosly) or dead... with a pregnant woman... To confront a burglar is really stupid without a gun, and if that happens that happens you have two ways... run away for help / hide or to shoot down /beat to dead the burglar. Is good to see you and youre wife are Ok, but I think you should control a bit better your reactions cowboy. -
