I agree, it might likley be a fluff piece, or EPK (extended press kit) type documentary. Like those supposed "documentary features" you find on most movie DVDs - where all the movie participants basically slap each other on the back. My 2 cents.

Wow, I have a similar story. When Battlecry was released, I was "reminded" of my childhood fondness for Robotech, found the website and when the MPC Valkyries were going to be released, was super hyped. I missed out on the initial offering and bought a Rick off of eBay for $125 - 2 months after the toy was released. When I got it, man, was I ever disappointed. Despite that, I still bought a Max MPC as well. Then I found some 1/55 Bandai reissues at a store in Universal CityWalk, picked those up. I did see the Yamato 1/60s and 1/48s, but they were very expensive. Plus, at the time was pretty happy with the Bandai valkyries. Man, I wish I had bought a 1/48 sooner ... now I am hooked!! Yamato 1/48 valyries rule all the way!!!

I've had most of my stuff shipped via USPS express mail ... one came in fine condition, the other "pancake style". While the 1/48 box was bent inward, the valkyrie itself was fine!!

Anyone own the fan collective DVDs? Are they any good? I've read that some of the sets contain duplicate shows, which is lame.

Great question ... I haven't notice anything on their site. I think the big announcement date is July 2nd, no? Right now, they are trying to update the site with as much news as possible, because of the fan backlash for lack of news on the new series. Least that's my view .....

I never really got into DS9, probably because Babylon 5 was on tv around the same time (roughly) and I remember thinking: wow, the plots in B5 are way kick ass compared to DS9. Then again, it was at the start of the series ....

Thanks Roy's Blues - I have done that, but I've found the price ranges vary quite a bit. Plus, there are a lot of re-issue toys (e.g., Blaster) that make me think my old toys have definitely gone down on value.

Actually, I plan on putting the GBP armour on my VF-1S Hikaru for now ...
