Thanks for the comments Dave - appreciate it. Yes, those sound like they were the same KO toys I was asking about. I've seen numerous eBay listings (at cheap prices) for KO versions of Devestator, Defensor, Superion, Menasor, and Bruticus. Many of them have the wrong color, some of their 'kits' include the wrong figures, and look cheap - but the Constructicons looked semi-like the original TF G1 toys. Sigh if they suck really bad - guess I'll pass on 'em. I guess you get exactly what you pay for 'eh? Thanks again for the advice mate.

I know this is a very old thread. Just wanted to share some thoughts. I just watched this on DVD for the first time ... wow. I was never a FF game player, so I went in with no expectations. But I do own the first FF - Spirits Within movie on DVD, which I like a lot. While the storyline for FF - Advent Children was confusing, after some research on the internet, I think I got the gist of it. But man, the animation and action was AMAZING!!! Woooeeee.

Does anyone have the knock-off version of the Constructicons? Specifically, the green ones in the G1 series, with 6 figures that forms Devestator? I've been eyeing the KO version off of eBay - can anyone comment on the quality? I don't expect perfection, but if it's complete crap I'll pass. Thanks in advance.

I agree .... until we get the actual toy ... who knows, it might be another "Garland fiasco".

My guess is the reason they don't make a new "Macross/SDF-1" toy is because they can't milk to molds ... unlike the valkyries, which can be remade into many different versions.

Custom looks good so far ... Maybe it's also the "Headmasters" (from Transformers) version of Jetfire .... JK.

Sorry, I guess I need to clarify. I already have a VF-1S Hikaru, it is sweet. I only want 1 of the either the TV 1/48 Max super, or 1/48 Max DYRL.

Yeah, the Toynami super poseables with fast packs were better. I loved the DYRL versions.

Cool Aliens toys ... I had no idea they made 'em!! All I remember were those hokey Alien + <insert insect/animal name here> toys from Kenner.

I figure the movie producers have a tough job of trying to please both the G1 TF fans (like myself) and the newer, younger ones who bought toys from the other series like: universe, alternators, etc. .... (of which I have no idea who is who). So they probably mixed and matched various characters with different models. A shame, but a good marketing ploy attempt. After all, they are probably gonna release a ton of TF toys around this movie. My 2 cents. To be, Bumblebee will always be a VW bug.
