Just read this on a SDCC report site: "More Masterpiece additions are forth coming (no sample on display) and it’s not what you may think. Sure we’ve all been waiting for the transformable Beta Masterpiece that we saw last year at SDCC, but that’s a story for later. I spoke with Toynami President George Sohn who stated that fully transformable cyclones are planned for the Masterpiece line. As far as the Beta Fighter it may not see the light of day as a transformable masterpiece, but thoughts are being bandied around as to how Toynami can get a Beta Fighter in some form in the hands of fans that clamor for it. One possibility was a resin statue on a stand that would link with their Masterpiece Alpha Fighter." MPC cyclones ... very cool!! Resin statue beta ... lame.

$12.95 for a 1/100 fast pack set?!?! Wow, that is pretty expensive. That's 1/2 the cost of the 1/100 valkyrie. Frack.

Wolfx - Thanks again for posting some amazing pics!!! The 19 looks sweeeeetttttt!!!! Didn't anyone else notice the box art for the VF-0A? It looks similar to the VF-0S box, but with a red stripe down the side, instead of yellow. It's on the wall, in the pic with the angry Yamato dealer dude!

I agree, I think the movie producers/production designers will likely use "CGI magic" where transformations will occur and many of the vehicle pieces will just disappear when the TF characters are in robot/alien mode. Might be lame, might not - guess we'll have to wait and see. And why only Bonecrusher? What about the rest of the constructicons, and Devastator?!?

Despite all the hype, letdowns, delays, reviews, etc ... I am still going to give Shadow Chronicles a chance when it gets released. Though I am going in with lower expectations; which of course increases the chances of me finding it "acceptable". I will agree that most fans of the RT.com site will love anything Robotech-related ... way too much.

Wow. Lots of news on the movie in the last 2 days. Pics make the TF characters look way too organic, almost Beast Wars-like. A shame. I thought the movie producers were going for a G1 homage look? More like a re-imaging to me. It'll be interesting to see the movie-tie-in toy line that will inevitably get produced.

So ... any cool quotable lines?
