Wasn't the movie repaint Target exclusive G1 Jazz suppose to be Hasbro's Classics version?? And yeah, I'd love the Classics seekers set too .... someday.

$300??? Frak. It's way too expensive for its inconsistencies ... the shame of it is, if this thing "bombs" sales-wise, then I doubt that the Crapnami, er, Toynami version will ever see production. Because every toy company will think that the general public isn't interested in buying a Beta fighter. Sigh.

Thanks to: eriku, Lynx7725, & JsARCLIGHT for the info on the recent Aoshima release of the Alpha. Mucho appreciated mates. Wow, I can't believe a Japanese release toy had worse QC issues than a Crapnami, er, Toynami release toy. Whoa, quite the surprise. A shame too, since their marketing/promo pics looked sooooo good. I didn't buy any when they were initially released due to budget constraints, but I guess I didn't miss out on anything.

I missed reading this, so what exactly happened? Was the Aoshima reissue of the Masterpiece Alpha good? and much better than the Toynami release? Can someone summarize for me please? Thanks in advance.

Wow, after seeing all the recent Alpha-Beta link-up pics, I agree that the Beta is way too high up compared to the Alpha. Shame. Although, my guess is that they had to do it that way to support the Alpha (in battloid mode) link-up with the Beta. I'm guessing they had to account for Alpha's 'backpack cockpit clutter' to fit in-between the 2 main Beta missle nacelles. It'd be nice if we could see a profile pic of the fighter-fighter link-up. Despite all this, I'm still getting the Beta though ... just need to save the cash.

I'm gonna wait on judgement until there's a final product ....

Sweet. While expensive, I am getting one. Like many others, I've been wanting a Beta to hook up with my Alpha forever ....

I saw it and thought - meh. Way too kiddish IMHO. I did appreciate how they used footage from the classic G1 animation as historical records in the new show, and Starscream was in true form. But why would someone name a girl 'Sorry' for a name??? Overall, I think I've seen enough of the show ... will likely get a few of the toys though.

I highly doubt that will happen, this'll probably be a PG-13 flick, to optimize the potential audience & profit.

Yeah, I'll probably pickup Japanese Classics Megatron too, if I can get it at a decent price.

I'll wait and see the final product, before I make up my mind - but she does look ok for the role.

So can anyone confirm or deny if Larry Hama is helping to write the movie script???
