    WTF??? This makes no sense, I remember Ripcord was a semi-important character in the Joe comics - like others have said, he was linked with some girl named Candy - who was killed with the Soft Master and some other person by Scrap-Iron after their cr crashed or something like that ...

    I checked my local Target tonight, they had the 5-pack Cobra legions for $17.95 as clearance, WTF? Why the price difference??? I passed on picking it up. And still no sign of the single-carded Wave 4 in my area ....

    I typically buy based on the overall mecha design, appearance appeal, and transformation if applicable. But there are some classic TV show figures that I've gotta have, like from the Macross & Mospeada series. Lately, I've been collecting lots of TFs and 25th anniversary GI Joes, because of childhood nostalgia. Mind you, the final control factor is: financial budget.

    Just returned from seeing this, and like many of you, I too was disappointed by the rushed ending. Hopefully there will be an extended cut of this on DVD.

    The disappointment with all the TF Energon series combiners is that Hasbro repeated the "limb" molds twice for each team. Making the combiner robot a little too repetitive. Otherwise, the individual robots themselves were pretty decent IMHO.

    I LOVE this classic mecha design. One of THE BEST of all time IMHO. But I will admit that I have plenty of variants of the VF-1 toy design that I am cutting back on its purchases of late. Like many others have said, I hope Yamato continues to release other Macross valk fighter designs.

    Thanks for the info folks. Hmm, I prefer the black paint scheme over the Nora ... maybe I'll wait for the reissue. Geez, I hope there's no issues with the YF-21.

    Agreed. The Southern Cross book was the first time I finally got to learn about the different armies of the Southern Cross and see the different personnel armour. Very cool.
