I sympathize with those of you who are having a difficult time finding 25th Joes at retail, cause I am in the same boat. I've rarely seen them in stock, and when I do, it's usually whatever someone else has left behind, and typically the cards are bent/damaged. Hell, I've only ever seen a complete wave available at retail twice - except the comic packs. And I have NEVER seen the TRU exclusives, I caved and ended up buying 2 of 'em on eBay for not too much markup. @baronv - Dude, I know what you mean, what the heck is up with Joe collectors on Hisstank who buy like 10x of each figure, then post what they bought to gloat on the forums??? WTH???

I agree. While not a huge fan, and the mecha designs were uninspired, I thought the series had potential. One thing I did like was the team comeraderie (sp?) within the ATAC squad. Plus the personal battle armours were cool.

You folks should read some of the TF site forums ... the drama over the Takara Skywarp & Thundercracker is hilarious ... :lol:

Finding 25th anniversary Joes in general is a PITA. I just don't get why stores seem to only get 1 or 2 boxes of stock at a time. And competing with friggin toy scalpers to buy 'em .... fawk!!! At least the comic packs seem to be easier to find ....

TFW2005.com has a news post that says Thundercracker & Skywarp are Hobby Toy Market/Ganbo Store exclusives. So they too will be difficult to acquire, and likely pricey. edit: More info "Further exclusive revelations include Henkei! Thundercracker and Skywarp. The two seeker repaints will be available through TakaraTomy's Toy Hobby Market and Ganbo Store websites. The figures will retailer for 3,000 Yen a piece and pre-orders will begin on May 22nd."

Checked the local Wal-Mart & Targets this morning ... no luck finding wave 8, nor the new comic packs ...

I agree with your observation.

Finally caught this movie on DVD last night ... pretty good overall. A unique perspective on making a monster movie, with semi-realistic characters. Although, some closure on what happened with the monster at the end would have been nice. And the "alternate endings" on the DVD were lame IMHO.

Still waiting to get mine .... I placed my order in mid-April ...
