Well, this just happened on mine on transformation #3... I didn't even notice the pin come out, the legs just fell off. I don't know if the pin fell out during transformation or prior to, but I can't find that damn pin anywhere. Not a hard fix with maybe a pin nail, wire cutters, and super glue, but man, at $160 that's a pretty lame thing to happen. If this toy wasn't so great looking, I'd just box it away and play with my 1/48s. 403515[/snapback] Ouch - sorry to hear that Ghostryder ... hope you get the thing fixed soon!

Thanks folks for the in-depth info! Sounds like most folks recommend the original series eh? Although, I too, worry about it looking like dated anime. Actually, I've been to the official Gundam website and got confused, that's why I posted here. Basically, I like some of the Gundam models/toys that I've seen and just wanted to get an idea of what the heck the storyline was about. Some of their mechas look way cool, none as good as the classic VF-1's though! Man, just reading your opinions has me confused!

I just want them to re-issue the DYRL 1/48 Max VF-1A ..... please!

Tire of the VF-1 design? Never!! Actually, I'm hoping Yamato does eventually release 1/48 versions of the Ostrich and Elintseeker. Especially the latter! I can't afford the original 1/55 Bandai's and based on what I've read, I don't think the 1/60 Yamato versions are that great.

Yeah, I'd definitely get the valkyrie first ... then the armour. I see the fast packs for sale everywhere. And I agree with Kyatsu, Yamato is more likely to re-issue the fast packs to "add onto" their new valkyrie releases ....

Thanks to all for the detailed info, especially the listing of re-issues Graham! The valkyrie certainly looks cool! Guess I will look around for the Bandai re-issue, seeing as I love the "painted on" look. Hopefully I can find it cheap.

I love fighter mode as well ... but trust me, seeing and holding a Valkyrie with fast packs on in battroid mode is very cool.

Complete newbie question: I know what the Gundam franchise is, but I have never seen an episode. And I've heard that the whole series is very complex. So, can anyone recommend a good place to start? E.g., which anime DVD I should watch first? Or am I asking too much? Thanks.

Yeah, I saw on the official Robotech site that the film is making the festival rounds ... but I don't have the time, nor money to go to one of those. Us fans have been waiting forever to get it on DVD. Why doesn't HG just release it already?!?! They say they're working on a distribution deal ... but there are continual delays.

I've bought from him a couple of times ... a reliable and honest seller! Recommended.

Is this fighter cool or what? Why doesn't Yamato make this puppy like the VF-19? Or is this thing lame? Anyone have any thoughts? I assume some of you die hards have like 6 of these things .....

Roboto - sorry to hear about all the QC issues with your stealth, best of luck trying to get it resolved. I didn't seem to have any issues with mine, but then again, perhaps I am not as thorough/detailed oriented about it as you and Graham are.
