  1. Movie wasn't anywhere near as bad as people are saying it is. I enjoyed it. I think the worst thing it suffered from was that it tried to cram a lot into the run time and I feel it assumed the audience knew some of the lore behind Warcraft.
  2. Not sure how much water this holds, but it sounds like a really bad move if it's true. http://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/disney-watered-down-darth-vader-scene-in-rogue-one-a-star-wars-story/ That said, I know there's a big difference in the comics and the movies but Vader murdered a Stormtrooper in cold blood for seeing him without a helmet on accident in the new canon stuff. He's not exactly kids best friend.
  3. Seeing this thread reminds me: Are the new Rivals out in the wild yet? I really want to get the Khaos and put a rechargeable pack in it.
  4. Watched the first (short) season of Ajin and it's pretty good.
  5. Why, out of the thousands of fantasy and scifi armors we've seen for the last 100 years, is the "boob armor" bugging so many people? People all over Facebook and the few articles I've seen posted are having a fit about it. ...why? The heels bug me way more than anything else in this picture. Edit: Also, gonna put 84.34% certainty into Rita being the Green Ranger or whatever is left of it.
  6. I think that would have given too much away right now if that's the route they decide to take though. There still isn't confirmation that he is Rhaegar's son. What I like is that Jon is freed from his oath now. He gave his life for the Night's Watch.
  7. Even if people don't play WoW anymore, a lot of them are still fans of the series. My entire group of friends and the people we were in guilds with are all pretty excited for this movie and hope it doesn't suck. Has nothing to do with whether we still play or not. People who played WoW because they were only hardcore MMO players and not fans are far outnumbered by the fans of Warcraft. It really isn't mutually exclusive.
  8. The animation looks....off. Hope that's just because of the way the trailer is cut.
  9. Kind of the point. She's become that which she hates most. I don't feel it's sloppy at all. In her lust for vengeance, she jumped into the mud with everyone else.
  10. She put her necklace on the wireless charging base to make sure it's at full power to bring Jon back. =D
  11. Watched for science, right? Haha Damn it. I tried. I enjoyed a great many books in the EU, namely among them were Zahn's books, the NJO and a The Bounty Hunter Wars. Yes, there was crap. I also still ask: if GL didn't write it, doesn't that make any Star Wars book written by anyone else fanfiction? The current conversation is about tech and hardware. Disney has 30 years of technical sources to pull from. The Essential Guides could have been gone through and taken from. They were pretty much the go to for most of that stuff anyway. Wookieepedia is another great source that clarifies tons of stuff. For example, how big a Super Star Destroyer actually is. The history behind the X-Wing being given to the Alliance by secret Incom conspirators or defectors was a good story and it made sense. The B-Wing being a secret project by Admiral Ackbar was cool. Kuat Driveyards, Wraith Seinar, the Wookiees, etc. It's all already there and I honestly don't think it would be that hard to clean up and make concise. Character wise, yeah, a lot of it has already changed and been removed. I understand that and have no expectations there.
  12. This is the meat of the issue. Racism and sexism are so rampant(or even commonplace) that these out of touch studios, execs and even some writers think a race or gender swap are "end of discussion" when it comes to solving the problem. Neckbeards being the vocal majority about "their" precious childhood being torn apart isn't helping either. Ryan Reynolds just recently said during all the Deadpool press; "women will watch these movies without a love story. Why are studios the last ones to know?" It's a great start to dialogue that gets buried under all the whining. Yes, studios also have to reach people to make money. Without that money they aren't going to make more of the movies everyone likes to bitch about. Like I mentioned before, Disney is smart to push this girl as the lead, regardless of whether she is or not. They blew it with Daisy/Rey and they know it. At this point the choice between a bunch of men bitching about a female lead being "forced" down their throats or the backlash from not showing enough of that female lead is pretty simple. The whole thing is a stupid circlejerk that ISN'T going to be solved with pissing and moaning about a female lead or a token black character(or in Ghostbusters....ouch, both) nor is having it in this thread about a movie no one's even seen yet.
