Perma-Death and Blue-Glowie status NEVER came about. It was taken out of the game. You now suffer xp loss. As for the 3 death thing that is for ALL new players and by the time you reach Jedi I can guarantee you will have died more than 3 times. There are ways to avoid xp loss. Getting rez'd by a doc prevents it. There is a ring called the "mark of the hero" which also prevents it but you can only use it once per 24 hours and it has limited uses. Just try it. Find someone with an account and ask them to play it. If you don't like it, you're not out money and at then you know. - Chewie

Forgot this was the spoiler thread. Yes. Obi kills Grievous with a blaster shot to his "stomache sack" which sends a shock to his brain making his head explode. (or so it was in the book) It's flippin' weak.

A word of advice on signing up. Do it after May 5th. They are totally revamping the combat system with the new expansion. The health system, weapons, armor etc. If you go in now you will have to relearn everything later. Just a word. Jedi isn't all that bad once you have a elite mastered. It's just tedious. VERY tedious. The new system is much better than it was before but again, it was never meant to be super easy and things were messed up but if you want to get into it, try it out. You can walk out the door of you local Gamestop with the whole thing (SWG and both expansions) for $45 plus $15 for your first month. As for which galaxy to join, join one on your coast for starters. Which raises the question....did Palpatine or his master create Anakin? He had no father. Plageous (sp) could make life out of nothing. Who's to say Anakin wasn't created just to become Vader? The emergency landing on Tat - accelerates already laid plans. Anakin's mother dying - Anger blah blah blah. There was nothing stopping Anakin's best friend and advisor from going to get her outside of the Jedi rules. Maul dying - clearly Dooku was already making his move to become Sidous' new apprentice. Was needed. Eh?

Problem with that being someone posted pics of the toys of that fight which TOTALLY spoiled it anyway. And imho...most of those pics should be in the spoiler forum.

Toon Network picking up episodes has all downloads dried up thanks to it being MORE illegal to dl them now. I'm on episode 117. A the rate Toon Network runs them, I'll get to watch more in about 4 years. Fun.

I almost bought SWG just to get the chance to dogfight in an fighter again, but then I started reading reveiws that pretty much said you couldn't even get a fighter unless you'd had massive credits or XP you'd been building since the game intitally launched. Frankly, I'm not going to play or pay for 6months at 20+ hours a week just for the CHANCE to fly. That is entirely untrue. You get a free ship when you start in JTL. You also get more than enough creds to buy a new ship by the time you qualify for the next tier of fighters. You can also upgrade the shizzle out of your ship with either player made parts or loot. Loot being better most of the time. Pilot professions take no xp to get novice, and once you get novice you get missions that build you up with huge chunks of xp including some of them being free. (no xp cost). The only issue I have with JTL is it's too slow. It doesn't feel like a sim....it's just slow. You can get both JTL and SWG for 10 days for free now. You have nothing to lose with that.

The filler material (games, books etc) cannot come soon enough. I played the Republic Commando demo, so nice. Want to touch the hiney....

Yeah, it's also this big. I wasn't complaning. I like knowing as much as I can because it makes excellent conversation and really doesn't spoil the movie for me but there are others who might miss that tiny print and read only to find out a MAJOR, movie ruining plot point. I was just adding a warning and making a suggestion.

Except after reading the profiles for Mace and Grievous alone I know more about the movie than I ever did. That link needs a huge SPOILER warning.

It's not as bad as you make it out to be AND if you know your Grievous, you know he's like a flippin transformer. I wouldn't take any shot of him at face value until seeing the movie.
