    I am very seriously considering pulling the trigger on this. Any advice on whether I should or not? Anything coming down the pipe in the 19 area I might want to wait for or is the Bandai pretty much the definitive? I just don't want to snooze on a it now and have it triple in price later.

    K. https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/home-windows/ That's just one site of many that utterly slams Defender. Anecdotal: I've used Kasperksy, Trend Micro, McAfee and currently use Webroot. All paid subscription versions. McAfee was the worst because it was super heavy, short of that, they've all done their jobs. I run biweekly scans with MBAR/MBAM because of a constant spigot issue because of using Vuze. I've never run into an issue. We currently use Sophos at work. If my system engineer every gets over his phobia of non-American AV companies, we'll likely move to Bitdefender. However, I've run into tons of software/false positive/security issues with free versions of AVG, Avast, and have gotten some nasty nasties with MSE. Having multiple layers of protection is great, but Defender, IMO, requires more than just itself to be worth anything.

    I watched it last night. I generally like the movies you guys hate. This time, we're on the same page. This movie was a steaming pile of Fox Marvel franchise abortion. Doom was a joke. Didn't know who the actor was going to be until I watched it. Toby Kebbell? Yeah, ooooook. "Wah, the world sucks 'cause the gubment, wah I need someone to love me, wah Susan doesn't look at me like she looks at Reed for the 8 seconds they develop that." Ya know, general Doom stuff except not even remotely portrayed like it should have been. It was teen-y and angsty and crap.

    I was like "Duke wasn't even on this page...." Has anyone seen the side by side comparison videos for the different versions of the OT? I'll say this, short of the glaring changes most people hate, the newer editions are visually striking compared to the non special edition OT. Found the link actually.

    Has anyone else downloaded Airmech Arena? It's an RTS that borrows heavily from Macross, C&C and it's pretty awesome. It's free to download the very playable light version and $19.99 for the "VIP" version. I am currently having a blast with it on Xbox One.

    Dunno if anyone took advantage yet or not, but the Disney Store in store and online is having a pretty big sale on Star Wars merch. 30% or more off most of their items. I picked up the new die cast ships for $4-7 a pop.

    I was trying to point out that the NEW comics(started Jan '15 with Star Wars, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Kanan and Lando Calrissian), and a small but growing list of novels not marked as "Legends"(Lords of the Sith and the "Journey" series) are all also part of the new canon. So anything that happens in them can be considered "true" in the grand scheme of things as far as their standing before/during/after the PT/OT timelines. I was also stating my distaste for the "licensed fanfiction" title because until Disney took over, GL/LFM let the canon exist for most of the EU unless it directly dealt with major characters or anything GL directly contradicted(Boba Fett ). Guessing since that title comes with anything GL didn't touch or create himself, I was also pointing out that that would then make some of Clone Wars, most of Rebels, part of the new game and The Force Awakens fanfiction or licensed fan product which isn't correct either. I saw what your original comment was directed to, and until 2 years ago, it was almost all legitimate, canon history. I wasn't necessarily trying to argue anything. A LOT of people have little to no idea that the EU doesn't exist like it did anymore, and adding that "licensed fanfiction" comment to the explanation of why/how/whatever is pure opinion.

    Sorry, I was being sarcastic. The new novels outside of "Legends," the comics and at the very least part of Battlefront are canon. I was also pointing more to the constant "fanfiction" thing that is always brought up. Since Rebels, EPVII, some of Clone Wars, the new novels, and the comics are all sans George Lucas, they would then be "fanfiction."

    Guess that would mean Rebels, everything post EVII, Battlefront. the Marvel comics and the new novels are too? Some of the books were bad, but that statement has always been asinine.

    Brushing up on Wookieepedia gives us Darth Banes creation by George Lucas and put him into the Episode I novelization. He and Revan were slated for S3 of Clone Wars but it was changed and his canon appearance is the S6 finale. His books are now under Legends.

    Darth Bane is canon per Clone Wars. Guessing some of what he had going on, rule of two and such, is still canon too since it's quoted by Yoda in Episode I.

    Hadn't seen it posted in either thread; HLJ has Boba Fett and Stormtrooper up for preorder for significantly less than BBTS at about $80 each and BBTS is $124.99. Vader sold out from both in the last few days.

    Guessing you haven't seen the newest Ninja Turtles trailer. Makes whatever infinitesimal want to see the movie irrelevant. It gives away EVERYthing. Nolan's name on it made me want to see this movie, the first trailer made me want to see it more. This trailer confirmed IMAX tickets.

    I think they actually control anything relating to being a "mutant." There are all kinds of articles floating around on it. They own it, or they don't but will sue if it's used. Darvel movies can't mention mutants specifically, Fox movies can't mention Darvel characters, etc.
