    1/100 WF YF-21

Those are Bandai Gundam display stands in gray. They also come in Black. http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN948216
  2. That is how most feel about the Alpha/Beta bit. Toynami needs to just finish the production of a series. The only thing they seems to have finished was the super posiables.
  3. Still nothing on the Toynami website about any of the products from the toy fair. They really need to work on marketing or at least update their website.
  4. That looks really nice. Reminds me of the old 1/100 hanger kit that had a armored VF-1J and a Tomahawk.
  5. Yes. One for sure in fighter. Perhaps three (fighter) based on cost. Thanks. Hope enough people step forward to make it worth the effort.
  6. Well it can still stand unsupported. The problem is even with the wrong armor... I like it!
  7. Wow, You two are at the top of the game. Great work. I would expect to see those in a motor pool next to real armor. All I have to offer is using self adhesive vinyl so you do not need to fill and paint on little Gundams.
  8. Yes, war is the only option but our aircraft can not make it past pre-flight....I recommend a defensive action by making forts out of the oversized Yamato boxes and HLJ packing materials.
  9. Have stayed out of the fray but it just hit me that the VF-0 shoulder problems appear to be the same as the YF-19 problems since they are made from the same dark gray plastic. Was that the case on the Garland, in that the shoulder parts are also the "dark gray" plastic? Yes, as of now this is causation without correlation. I remember that there has been serious discussion by those that understand the chemistry of plastics about the raw materials used by Yamato to produce Valks. Could this be a bad mix of chemicals rather like a bad batch of steel (Ford) or poor mix of paint (Ford and Dodge)? **Car companies listed are big examples of problems not seen until after the products were on the street and after investigation the source problem was the raw materials not design or manufacturing technique** Understanding that less expensive plastics are used, is the rate of failure higher than expected since the problems appear across product lines? Has the bad mix of plastics question been posed to Yamato? Yes, better QC and testing will keep the problems out of the hands of the consumer “US†and QC contributed to the problem but would like to understand the root cause of the problem.
  10. NB4M does recasts and makes parts. He made some custom gunpods for me last year. Excellent work. Just send him a PM.
  11. Would that result in a limited production run of your fine RC aircraft??
  12. Odr78 the armored VF-0S might be the Hasegawa model. http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG21 The model comes in a huge box almost the size of a 1/48 Yamato.
  13. Not much fun but helps save money for other projects.
  14. Since the VF2SS was a Bandai model how difficult would that be to reverse engineer the toy just with heavier plastics? There was a resin conversion kit to build it without the SAP fast packs. For those that have both the toy and model versions of VF-19 Fire and VF-19S is that what Bandai did? I only have the 1/100 Fire and the VF-17 toys and both seem like good designs. Not tying to start an Yamato Bandai debate but perhaps we should ask Bandai to make the VF2SS.
  15. Spot On! and in no way negative. Thanks. Edit: Still have not learned to type or spell!
  16. That looks great for a first time. People save your money and make one of those. So, Are you going to make the armor?
  17. You can find the Skull Squadron logo in the model section. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models...SBat_Decals.jpg That will be a great looking 19 when done. Can not wait to see those Tomahawks. For those that do not have them 'like me' the post should be titled "See what you are missing!"
  18. Wow! That is great if you do. I do not know of anyone that has worked on the MPC Alpha. Please do. Perhaps you can save toynami from itself.
  19. For those of us in America, I doubt we would effect Yamato much since they do not target this market or provide parts support. Unless you get parts support from the retailer. If those countries that had macross products sent directly such action may have the desired effect or Yamato could just stop production.
  20. 1) It is still very durable. The "Variation" on the upper leg would be a stronger version and the front of the battroid looks better. 2) The neck other than move left and right? Yes anything is possible based on time, money, and skill. Which I may not have the skill. The quickest problem I see is the point of rotation is under the chin as opposed to the center of the neck and there may be a gap in fighter or Gerwalk mode. 3) Thanks for the complement. Well my Bandai VF-17D is still waiting to be hacked on and I have not received my hands for the 17S. Cost??? I can not guarantee any results and just the leg conversion would not require any materials just removing plastic. We will need to talk via PM. The only thing is I am not on the flightline anymore and back in school for the next year and this requires more effort than flightschool!!! oh and I am the class leader so free time will be under the control of my wife. She will be busy with Ca. Bar Exam for the next 10 days so I have additional MW time. Please post some pictures of the bootlegs. I may be able to talk you through it. Unless they are broken I do not know why two need to become one?
  21. Please ship your excellent creation with the greatest of care. Best of luck on the move!
  22. I have Yamato flavored Kool-aid for my fellow YDFCs.
  23. Did you use a forced perspective to make the VF-0 and the armored 0 the same size? Looks great. Make me want armor for the Zero!
  24. The 1/60 YF-19 is better than the 1/72 YF-19 and the VF-19A. To compare: first edition YF-19 with unbroken Tab B and the now repaired "dislocated" shoulder YF-19. I can not see how the new 19 is the worst toy ever!? For those that want to think as such please not include mine, just know that the shoulder can come off, it is easy to fix but if you do not want to risk breakage then don't play with it and certainly don't take it out of the box. I will be buying the fold booster package set after release, not preordered, but if people want perfection then build the Hasegawa YF-19, do a kit bash to make it variable, or dig up the old SHE kit. 10 million dollar aircraft break and so too 200 dollar toys.
  25. Very interesting article. Not just on coloring but the future brittle nature of ABS. Thanks!
