Here is a fun one. My VF-1S arrived and the Skull on the Heat Shield is way off center and a bit crooked. Brings back fond memories of the Yamatos but at a lower price. Sorry, here is a really bad picture.

That is the correct shape for a AV-98 leg. Wonder if it is a reworked 1/2 or will it be number 3. Either way that helldiver will be great with the 1/72 model Hellhound. I have the Gundam/Macross Xeno modification for C&C Generals Zero Hour. The question is how can I access the music in the program files. I can play and rip the origional C&C Generals Zero Hour using Windows Media Player from the file MusicZH.BIG but it does not have the Macross and Gundam music. There is a file Music.BIG but I can not open it with Windows Media Player, Itunes, or Real. Does that file contain the Xeno music and what media program do I need to rip those files. Yes, this is to become the poor "CHEAP" man's Gundam music collection.

Funny that will be the date Xbox finally gives me a replacement Xbox. They "Xbox service" keep calling and saying No and that they cannot do anything other than send out-rebuilt systems. I now have the contact info for the legal department at Microsoft. Interesting that under their legal section they have a specific division for Xbox problems. Buyer be warned!!!

So what can emulate an Xbox? Or are we talking home-built.

Emajnthis on the page prior may have figured it out, but the short answer seems to be yes all old 360's will RROD. New...??? we will see. What happen to the team that created the first X-box? That thing is a champ.

Local Bestbuy has 360 Halo and Elite systems $50 less than anywhere else. They had two big piles but the manufacture dates I checked were before the "magic" August 25th. I am going to hold off getting one to see if Microsoft will honor my request for my system to be returned or provide a new system. Looks like I will be playing alot of Gundam on Command and Conquer.

Looks like it still has the protective plastic on the IR sensor. $350 and a service life of two weeks???? Hope the store owns ups and just replaces it or is the owner stuck dealing with Mircosoft?

Shogo is about the same size as the 1/60 Miria Revy fits in the 1/60 QUEADLUUN-RAU. So Revy should be able to ride the Garland. She will have to spread her legs wide and may not in slave mode.

Agree that the hands, internal parts of the knees and neck extension need to be dark gray. Yet overall looks better than the proto-type. Edit: added photo from http://www.macross.co.jp/zero/ Also the face needs to be dark gray.

HLJ clearned out the "old" first release red Garlands with a 50% off sale. That is how I got my Garland. I tried to get the replacement shoulders at the same time but HLJ would not give them for free...since they had not failed yet... so I got a free pair from Yamato USA. Funny that the new shoulders arrived two days before my EMS order from Japan. That was great service by Yamato USA

No news is...... Microsoft called me back today. Told them want my old 360 repaired and sent back or a new system not a reconditioned piece of equipment with an unknown history that doesn't work out of the box. The lady said it has to be forwarded to her supervisor but that the request will be disapproved. Either way the next man behind the curtain will be calling. Funny that the editor of Gamesfirst.com got a NEW X360 from his Microsoft PR rep when his system went down. While, We, the general population gets second hand trash. Unlike the last person on the phone, there were no offers of free stuff just a quick "No" and to be forwarded to the next supervisor. It is amazing that the origional Xbox has survived deployments and some awful conditions only to keep working without failure while X360's crash and burn in clean air conditioned environments. ....is well still no news.

While it is not Hikaru's VF-1J, Scorched Earth/Anymoon AKA Jenius had some fun with the different armor on an VF-1A Angle Bird. http://anymoon.com/blog/2006/10/20/yamato-...birds/#more-502 I know that someone has put the red armor on a Hikaru VF-1S but I have yet to see it on the white and red VF-1J. Has anyone seen this problem before when the colors are "faded" on screen and there is a odd pattern? Microsoft's answer is go without my X360 for another month and if the repair fails again then the next repair will be personally supervised. The flaw in that plan is that they took my X360 and then sent out a "reconditioned" non-functioning system. So how can that qualify as a second attempt to repair?...when my system is long gone and I have no idea what the history on the replacement is???? An additional insult was how dirty the CD tray was. The top and edges of the tray were filled with dust and the silver face had a kind of oily dirty film... about the same that appears on the bottom of an uncleaned mouse.

Unless Yamato reissues an improved 1/60 VF-1 series the old ones are all that exist. If it is at a good price and good condition get the VF-1D. Also recommend getting the Elint. Edit: cannot type.

The junkbox was returned today. The reconditioned POS doesn't work right out of the box. The colors are off and the screen this odd pattern. Xbox had the nerve to say my cable went bad due to lack of use.
