With the Armored Ozma soon to be released, are we going to see Super RVF-25 Luca and Super VF-25G Michael? Wonder if Bandai will hold back to increase the sales of the separate super packs.

I have never made any models in FS but have started "fixing" instrument panels in CFS 2 and FS X. Can bumble F... the repairs on 2D panels really well but have no idea about the 3D cockpit or exterior. Next project with be flight characteristics so I can get the FFR-31 to land at a speed that will keep it in the same state.

Bring them on! Not to be a vulture but I would be happy to see the secondary market flooded with 1/72 and 1/48 scale. Those are standard scales and it easy to find support equipment and dioramas for those models and toys... unlike 1/60. Thanks for the warning. Place a pre-order also!

It went for $52... With the VF-100 series from Bandai wonder there will be increased demand and a follow-on release of the kit?

Nice aircraft! Are you making these for the Combat Flight Simulator or the regular microsoft flight sims?

Not willing to trade but I am happy that the only stand out-color difference on mine is the shield. Everything else looks good...thankfully I have all the black stripes. Don't know about the shoulder markings yet. For my first 1/60 VF-25 the RVF is very nice and WOW is that a box of stuff considering that the stand and armor are included.

I have two LV-1 one is truly mint the other was bought on ebay with a hip crack. The crack was not mentioned in the write up and I was upset but then had to remember this is a used toy and was less than the $250 mark you are talking about. Sadly, ebay is buyer beware. As a buyer, best thing is ask lots of questions and for photos for problem areas but if someone is going to stiff you then they will. Hope that your friend will be honest and highlight the issues in his auction.

How long before Bandai makes the paint and markers for these models? Or will that luxury only be reserved for their Gundam models?

The FFR-31 and YF-19 are great downloads but has anyone completed the mods so the instruments are fully functional in FSX. GPS and radios would be nice additions but flight instruments in both the FFR and YF-19 2D cockpits are missing.

The thought is build the VF-25, Super, and Armored as the respective model and not have the capability to swap parts. Leave the parts swapping for the toys. One major reason not to parts swap is that the missile covers for the Super pack (- aircraft) is molded in white... for those that don't want to paint are now forced to purchase each version of the Super with aircraft. To ask for magnet attachment on a model is not unrealistic. It is better than pins and holes, example the VF-0S armored battroid. Great model with lots of detail but pins everywhere. If builders customize models to have magnets it is not too much to ask for a model to be manufactured with that intent. It would be a value added feature and make a "home" manufactured toy like Bandai's models more attractive. Edit: The luca clear parts look like they are modeled in color. Excellent thought wm cheng, well versed points don't count as rants. The new Super... no intent to swap parts. For those that have seen the super VF-25 Alto are the visor and sensor parts now cast in color?

Bandai's sculpt for the model of the Kia was better looking than the toy but have always thought the metal coat version was more fitting. The only function that would make the new 1/100 more attractive than the old model is if the shoulders open to show the speakers.

How do you install the YF-19 in FlightSimX? I have the decompressed file on my desktop but the installer doesn't work. Edit: Found the aircraft folder unlike CombatSim2 it is two layers down.

That is the historic animation error.... VF-1A head with VF-1J lasers... then Harmony Gold calls it the VF-1R. The video clip of the scene is on the RT.com info page for the 1R... but for Macross it was just an error by the animator. Edit: Rather like my typing

Tancist this should be a great project. The animation clips shows it all except the Torse folding 90 degress. The Torso (part 9 and 10) will need to be modified. The bridge should also be on the starboard side of the ship and smaller. The TV anime shows the movement and parts of the bridge if I remember the head is formed by the bridge and some other part that moves in from the port side.

The new VF-1D wouldn't look that bad if the pilots in the one-seat VF-1's weren't crammed so forward into the instrument panel. A different pilot placement in the single-seater would benefit the entire line and help Yamato's illusion that cockpits are different. At least, it would be better than having to create the comparison photos that show very little difference between the two. The new VF-1D at least has the correct figures and looks better than version 1.

I own one with the "rick hunter" fast packs and it is displayed on the Yamato launch arm stand DYRL style. There are no issues with mine. The fast packs and wing stores are not as nice a Yamato's 1/48 or the old 1/60. It certainly doesn't pose as well as the new VFs on the market. The color is an odd mix that reminds me of a brownish purple turd and the leg swing bar is a bright chrome. Toynami went all out on the book case box. Bought it because it was unique and was on sale. If you like the old chunky style buy a Bandai release of a Macross VF... unless you must own the animation error that Harmony Gold copyrighted as if it was their idea.

HLJ has a megahouse "Dark" version on pre-order but the photo shown is of a Stick type. It is not listed with the rest of the megahouse "action figures" but under toys. If my defective memory serves, the only "dark" ride armor was for that camera girl near the end of the series. Sad, Megahouse needs to keep up with CM and release more than recolors.

Time to start reverse engineering with ML-Cad.

That Star Wars Playset at first glance looks like a screen cap for the movie. That is some great work.
