Thanks, perhaps I wasn't clear in my explanation. I meant that the threads discussed in Ep. 7 regarding the logos on VF-27, and if I remember correctly, before the screen showed Brera in the cockpit with all the fancy lights, I remembered that the cockpit had a little glow outside! Just want to confirm that this true and perhaps we can be certain that the pilot sits inside rather than outside.

Anyone noticed when VF-27 was folding "back", a close-up view of the fighter showed that the cockpit seems to glow a bit? I think the pilot is definitely in the plane instead of remotely controlling it. I think a few threads in Ep. 7 showed the markings of whether it has NUNS and Galaxy insignia, perhaps someone can confirm this?

Given New Macross flagships as colony guardians, and not being designed to have a main gun equal or exceed SDF-1 doesn't make sense. Anyway, I think the ability to destroy several ships with a single shot depends on the spread of the beam. The larger the spread, less concentrated, good for "carpet bombing" effect to clear enemy mechas, smaller vessels etc. For concentrated shots, probably meant to take out larger capital ships as seen in the last episode of SDFM when the SDF-1 fired a concentrated salvo on Kyron's crippled poo. As for SDF-1 main cannon wiping out 2 Zentran ships when they approached Earth, I think they these vessels were probably scout type, hence smaller size.

Still early to judge but I would think so, since Nanase starts to blush when Sheryl teases her about her motive and intentions.

The evolutionary virus mechanism is interesting. It fits in well as to why the scientists were taking blood samples of the local population in Maya, I presumed it was to check their DNA sequence. However, what perplexes me is this. If prior to PC on Earth, the local inhabitants were "fish" like as opposed to with legs as a humanoid, why wasn't it mentioned that there transitional fossils? The earliest ancestors must have look differently from the current ones! I wonder if the engineered virus is locally administered to sample population as opposed to widespread air-borne application. The former would result in transitional species, so if it wasn't mentioned in macross universe, probably PC used an air-borne application.

Hard to predict now, though I share you sentiment. It was pretty unpredictable in SDFM until the very last episode when Hikaru decides to choose Misa over Minmei and in M7, Mylene did not conclusively pick either Basara or Gamlin. Perhaps all these screen times between Alto and Sheryl will enable Alto to realize that she isn't for him at the end, much like Minmei and Hikaru was?

Hope someone can provide a plausible theory here.
