    Q-Rau Review Now Up

I think it looks cool, my only concern is that it is not much bigger or at all bigger than the club m 1/72,check out the pic next to my 1/60 and the pic i the review, the kneecap seems (i really mean seems because i do not have the yamato yet) to be about the same height..........
  2. I don't know any exact codes, when i did my 1/60 kakasaki i just got a basic green and mixed it with flat white until i got the color i wanted. test it first because it may dry a bit different than the color it is when its wet.
  3. yep but i would make it the model master line, not the little jars
  4. For a simple custom like changing the accent color (yellow to red, blue etc) I would just carefully mask off the parts of the valk you do not want to paint and use a good (and flat if possible) enamel paint from a spray can or if you are really careful, brush on. For both use multiple thin coats. For the heatsheild on the 1/48, I've (on all my customs) sanded off the paint starting with a 600 grit paper and worked up to 2000 grit, from there polish by hand with a compound, dip in future, add decal (skull or otherwise) future again, let dry for a few days and paint the backside only. Hope this helps..... mike
  5. some people requested a pic of the 1d head and the hands, here are both on an old custom. thanks mike
  6. http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/salzo2200...nm=IM000456.jpg follow the link to a pic of a finished custom, I do not have any sets cast right now, i make them to order. I just redid most of the molds so all the parts are nice and crisp. the parts are all pressure cast to virtually (if not completly) eliminate any air bubbles. the kit comes with wings, head, booster clip, medium leg armor, large leg armor, all 8 booster parts, and 2 seater cockpit $55.00 shipped. thanks mike
  7. I have the molds for the 1d head, the yamato 1/48 1s and 1a heads, both of which can be used on the 1/55's with little modification. I also have the molds for the club m 1/48 1s and 1a heads which are perfect for non transformable 1/55's in jet mode. other 1/55 custom parts.... 1/48 club m strike cannon resized to fit 1/55 umm7 missles also from club m resized. sazabi hands. super ostrich conversion kit elintseeker conversion kit PM me if you are interested. mike
  8. All are very cool, for the front I vote for #7.......and for the back #2..very nice work.....
  9. as far as the ? about paint scrapping I do my best to minimize it by sanding some if the edges that would rub prior to painting, I had that down pat for 1/55's and am getting good at it with the 1/48's
  10. ouch!
  11. a couple with the standard hands and an unfinished gunpod
  12. that's funny because I cut off a nice chunk of my ring finger this morning, really, just got back from the ER, everything is back on and I will put up some battroid pics in a few hours. Watch out for broken glass under snow cover!!!!!!!
  13. thanks everyone, I will post some battroid pics after I finish those hands tonight....thanks again oh all the kites are decals.....
  14. It's for Min, hope it's Ok to disclose, up next 1/55 Minmay Guard and a 1/48 Blue Roses (the hexagon quad colored one)
  15. This is another enigma, this one is a 1j, it has the alternate bird coming out of the clouds decals as opposed to the blowing wind one featured on Kurts awesome enigma, I am painting a set of 1/100 resin sazabi hands (which are about the same size as the Yamato 1j hands). Has the usual stuff, devins decals, weathering (much of which does not come out on my Digicam, especially the panel shading, but it is there), and a not yet dry Club M resin pilot. This is a commission for Min.
  16. pick a room in the house, declare it as your man cave, have a fight with your wife about the man cave, win the fight, buy a lock for the man cave......
