The way I understand it, it is corporate policy for Target that things aren't supposed to be taken out of the backroom ahead of time. Many stores don't follow this, but some do. I'm sure some employees have had bad experiences with scalpers/crazy collectors and so they stop getting stuff from the back. I don't blame them. Just wait until the set date.

It isn't even released yet. The people who have theirs either a) got them from the backroom or b) the store set them out before the 2/4 set date.

Some different type/mixture of plastic. From what I understand Yamato usually sticks to ABS. I have no idea what they stand for though.

Question about the fast packs: when they are equipped, is the tip of the gunpod supposed to be dragging on the ground or am I doing something wrong?

Last night I popped in my the first Robotech Macross DVD so I could see SK get killed by the VF-1D. I absolutely could not stand it. Everything seemed so stilted, and everytime they mentioned "robotech" I wanted to yell at the screen. Oh, and that narrator. :| And "Macross" Island. Eurgh. Anyway... what is the consensus? Which is better: the ADV English dub or the subtitled set? Is it the Animego set for sale @ RT.com for $39.99 worth it? Is that the set that is prone to cracking on the DVDs? How is the English dub? Subtitles have definitely grown on me, and they would actually be preferred, but if the subtitled set is the one with cracking issues I'm not sure if I want to go that route. However, with the sub costing a whopping $175 for all 7 volumes... yeah that's a little out there in terms of cost. Anyone know if there are plans to release the dub as a complete set at a reduced cost??? I'm sure these questions have been addressed in this thread but I don't have time to delve through 41 pages right now. Any help would be appreciated.

No, the 1/48 VF-1(anything) are great. Just stay away from the first issue.

They dropped Zoic after the second season for in-house CGI. You can definitely tell the drop in CGI quality in season three.

Perhaps I should have said "clean". The new ones are a mess. The uniboob never ceases to make me laugh. I definitely prefer the YF-21 to the YF-19, but both are fugly. Morphing wings? Ugh. Only Isamu saved the series. He was awesome.

Alright, I saw Macross Plus. I don't know why everyone likes it so much... it was okay. I might rank it a little higher than M:Zero overall (but not the battle scenes) because of the background it gives on UN Spacy post Space War 1. The scene with the VF-11's at the beginning was neat as well. I was surprised that Guld didn't tear the General's head off when he called him a half breed. I wasn't a fan of any of the mecha though. They seemed like a step down from the streamlined VF-1. *shrug*
