  1. I prepped this ARM-D for painting
  2. Try Scotch tape first; works fairly well in most cases. Sometimes it takes a few passes and also may need a light buffing afterward ( microbes 2400 grit).
  3. Most of the fall damage has been repaired, figure are underway.
  4. I’ve got the pilot and canopy ready to go. Will get new pics up soon!
  5. Hey guys, Take your time and have fun with it. Keep your expectations in check. Everyone’s first effort is not going to turn out as it is in your mind’s eye. There’s no substitute for experience and you will learn as you go along and get better and better results as you absorb new ideas and techniques little by little. Part of the fun is learning those new things. Lots of great pointers from the other members. Best of luck with it!
  6. I got a little more done. I did manage to drop it when I was setting up my new space - breaking a wing, 1 mirror and knocking off one 500lb bomb. Repaired most of it and got the pilot assembled.
  7. Quick update, had to put this on hold while I get some Reno’s down in my basement - my old shop space is totally gone and I’m setting up a temp space. Just a few little touches to wrap it up!
  8. awesome! I ordered up the OVA version. I'm looking forward to the trianing Lehrer, Samson and Asuka(?). lots of great offerings!
  9. Still have a lot of flat coating to do, panel line pin wash, pilot figure and then on to the fight deck.
  10. Here’s some more progress on attaching the ordnance.
  11. I saw that and thought of you Bolt!
  12. In the process of applying decals. This really enjoy this part of a build and it’s coming along well. Pics to come!
  13. Rinse and repeat! I’m satisfied with the clear green of the lense, I just meant that the rim outlining the clear part of the panel was all dinged up for some reason and I’m not going to rebuild since it won’t be seen in the final presentation. This lense was clear green over Molotow chrome and then filled up with clear gloss. Thanks for the advice, I will give that method a shot on the next one (already in progress!).
