1. *claps hands* I'm with ya', man, I'm with ya'.
2. Why can't we all just get along? (jk) Seriously, just be happy Yamato's making the thing. You know you're going to buy one, no matter if the feet are too big, the wings are too small, the nose is too fat, or the battroid mode is too skinny. You're going to buy it and then talk about how much you love it. Admit it. Heck, even if you don't like it that much you'll probably buy 3 of them; one for each mode. And then you'll buy the YF-21... and... EDIT: Hey look, I just became a bridge bunny.
3. I'm a pathetic, jealous man.
4. Wow! Impressive. Even if I could afford that many 1/48's (which, sadly, I cannot), no way in hell would my wife put up with me buying that many. Cheers to you mate! I will live my valk collecting life vicariously through you 424332 I second that notion.
5. I live in Georgia, and by the time anything anime related makes it to a hobby shop or comic store, it's more expensive than if I ordered it off the internet and had it shipped to my house. I haven't really been following this too hard, but does Toynami plan to mass produce these or are they going to be things that I'll see at my local video game stores (like MPC Alphas awhile back)? I really only want a TV Max w/ fastpacks just b/c I'm a sucker for tiny toys that I can fidget with and don't take up tons of space. I'd buy the max w/ fastbacks for $30 total (I know that the fastpacks are sold separately). Has anybody tried putting the super poseable fast pack equipment on the 1/100's or is the fast pack stuff permanently attached to the super poseables? 424302 You can take the fast pack (backpack/missile launchers) off, but at the risk of damaging the toy. My son successfully took them off of his. Unfortunately the scale is totally different, so it wouldn't look right to try and combine the FP boosters with a 1/100. As for the FPs specifically for these 1/100s... I sincerely hope they make them for under ten dollars, or I may have to pass. Edited because I HATE spelling mistakes.
6. Good point. Not only do I detest CNN beyond all description, but I don't believe anything they have to say about anything anymore.
7. Im not sure about the toynami market in Utah, but here in So. Cal. there are toynami products by the thousands. I still find stuff from way back in 2002 sitting in the stores getting all dusty. Not mainstream stores, more like hole in the wall stores. I even find people selling stuff by the case at the swap meets. Like the SD keychains and figures. 423964 Uhm, could you pick me up some of those at your next swap meet?
8. I've lived in Utah for about two years now, and trust me on this one, NObody in this state knows what or who toynami is. I've yet to meet a single person who even knows what Japanese anime is. I had to introduce my wife, and she is hooked now, of course. But yeah, good luck finding anything in Utah that has anything to do with anime. I have to buy all my stuff through the internet. If I walked into any store and saw anything Macross/Robotech I'd probably pee.

No no no, what Mog said.
10. Yeah, the 1S head sculpt looks really funky. But hey, like Jenius said, the only good 1S head I've EVER seen on a transformable toy is the 1/48. And, if in the future I can get more of these for 10 bucks a pop then hell yeah, my kid can have some. Maybe I'll get some more and customize'em if I'm bored. Gawd I'd have to be real bored... Anyway. I highly doubt these will ever be available for 10 dollars. I doubt 15 even. Believe it or not, ever since I started buying 1/48s, I haven't bought anything else - I got way picky. My MPCs haven't seen the light of day since. I guess my point is this; if even I plan on buying up these 1/100s, there's got to be many more people like me. I think they'll sell quickly. Try finding a robotech super poseable these days for less than 20 bucks. I dunno', I just wouldn't predict a gigantic (50%) price drop. Ever.
11. I'd say it's probably inevitable that they'll re-release those someday. Probably soon, judging from how they're cranking stuff out lately.
12. Wow!!! I for one love it. Nice nice nice!

Whoah! Is that GBP? What cartoon is that from???
14. *points and laughs* Muahahahahahah! (just kidding)
15. maybe hes just lurking, like on reconasance or somthing. 422626 I don't think Yamato would give a crapOLa what we think, even if it's coming from Graham. I mean, seriously... how many times do you think they've heard people beg them for decent stickers (that includes Graham, AND their own workers I'll bet)? They probably just laugh at the complainers knowing danged well they'll buy their products no matter what. If Yamato had an english website set up, that would be awesome. Then all of us could voice our opinions and maybe somebody from Yamato might start to care.
16. Back from good ole' Wal-Mart. Alright! Well... I think, even though this really isn't pertinent to the thread, first off - hasegawa model kits look absolutely cooler than anything I've seen! Now, for the toys. Gerwalk: Yamato 1/48! And, please don't flay me, I think that the robotech MPCs look really cool in gerwalk mode; it's the only thing that really stands out as "good" with the MPCs. Battroid: Yamato 1/48! Yes, even with the chicken/skeleton hands. I also have an affinity for the look of the lil' banpresto VF1S. And -- I've seen lots of gashapons that look really cool too. Fighter: I think I'm gonna' tie the 1/48 and the 1/60 Yamatos. I don't own any 1/60's VF1's, but from the pictures I've seen they look almost identical to the 1/48 aside from the nose. And I kinda' like the stinger nose. ...(I wish they made toys as good looking as those hasegawas; but the VF0's do the job I guess)
17. this is a cool thread, I'll add my two cents after I get back from Wal-Mart with the wife and kid.
18. It's hard for me to imagine a shortage of people in China for any occupation. *sigh* Man I wish China could all be like Hong Kong.
19. Haterist gets all my stuff! *and that includes toynami robotech stuff too!
20. Is any toy really worth how much it costs? No. They're all just piles of high-priced plastic. The reason we buy them, is because we like them. I don't think any valk looks perfect. Hell, if you want to see some ugly-azz valks just watch the original Macross TV series. The only toys that look as ugly as those are the bandais. The reason these lil' "controversial" (around here) valks are so likeable is because they're so accessorized. I mean, c'mon. A stand? Missiles? 3 modes? 20 bucks? How much is a joke-machine toy? 265 bucks? What makes the joke machine worth so much more? Because it's cuter? I think the 1/100s are well worth the price. I mean, why the hell does a low-viz version 1 cost like 450 bucks now? It's just a cannon fodder valkyrie, colored different. It flies up into the sky, and then gets shot the heck down as soon as somebody sees it. The reason people pay the money, is because they like it. And dangit, I like some of the stuff toynami has put out. I like all the super poseables, and now I like these, um, things. I shall continue to buy 1/48's and *holds back tears of joy* the Plus and Zero 1/60 lines. BUT - I shall also purchase every new version of the 1/100 that they release. Why? Because I'm insane.
21. Dangit! That's it! I'm giving away all my 1/48's, swearing off Macross, and heading back to the Robotech forums. And I'm throwing away my 1/100s because they're Macross, and not Robotech. PM me if you want any free Yamato stuff.

I voted for the YF21. But I'd have voted for the YF19 too if I had two votes.
23. So can somebody point me to a better Macross mini-toy that's the same price, transformable, likely to have fastpacks, and comes with a display stand? (And is perfect quality, will never break no matter what, is 100% free from defects, and looks exactly like the perfect valk in every aspect with absolutely no reason to complain about anything, is remote controlled and flies around and actually shoots real bullets, and of course is made by Yamato) Assuming that this does not exist, which I don't think it does, I'll stick with the 1/100's.
24. That's a dang good idea. I was thinking that myself. I wonder if they make these yet?
25. Yeah... these are worse than Yamatos... I can't defend these things here.
