Worst gaming platform of all time is Operation. I could never get those tweeezers to fit in some of those holes. -

Best Gaming Platform of All-Time
Mechwarrior replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I picked other, so I'll go with PC. Best graphics, mods, game play, multiplayer, selection, upgradable, compatible, support, availability, sound, and did I mention graphics? -
I think that thing is rather generic looking. The weathering has definately been overdone, in my opinion.

No kidding! I remember this show as one of the best original programs I watched growing up. Very imaginitive scripts and characters. I wish I could find even the reruns on.

I'm big into any sci-fi model that catches my eye. Prefer models with great detail. I tried the gundam and Star Wars models, but those lack customizing ability and are rather simple. Resin models are my favorites. Right now i'm stuck on R/C balsa kits, but I should be back into the swing of things by November. I would love to get my hands on that Cat's Eye I wish there was a website that featured Macross members models and customized toys. Some people here got some great stuff to show off. Ok, I got off topic.....

Why don't you crazy mofo's recast a tanmen Cat's Eye while you are at it. What the dillio, I got a pm from one of you members and offered to sell it to me for $300.00. I knew that would happen eventually, STOP the madness and recast that sucker!

Personally I have no problems with any of the Star Wars movies, they are all good movies too me. I do get annoyed at the whole Jar Jar thing though, but it doesn't make me wanna hate the movie cuz of it. I recall the Master himself, Lucas, mentioning that the Star Wars movies were meant to entertain everyone, not just the fans who would have it only their way. That would explain why my kid's favorite character is Jar Jar and mine is Natalie Portman, err the queen, slash, senator chic/person. Anywho, i find that enjoying a movie for what it is and not overanalyzing things helps enjoy tha much more. For those so critical of every frame and score of a movie, I recommend you go make one yourself. If Kevin Smith can do it, then anyone can. And by the way, the reason why Yoda walks with a cane is because its actually a front. He like the perks of cool hovering wheelchairs and a roomy spot near the Jedi Temple where he can park his pimp ride without getting any dingys on the door. In one shot of the Jedi headquarters you can actually see his ride with a 'Reserved for Yoda' spot and a handicap sticker on the windshield.

DOes the PC count as a platform? B) I totally gave up on all the other platforms, I feel that the PC has the best of everything. If your computer is not set up for gaming, I say try that instead.

Mechwarrior replied to Yang_Neumann's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That Martin is one crazy MOFO. Many times i've chatted with him in the ole Screensavers days, he seems pretty down to earth guy. I too would not mind meeting that Laura too -

The 3rd Season Premiere of Enterprise is tonight!
Mechwarrior replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I just finished watching it. I liked it. I remember when The Next Generation came out, I didn't care for it, but eventually came to like it more than the original. Half naked Vulcans chics don't bother em abit -
Remember, these RIAA guys are the same ones who rip off there own artist's (TLC for example forced into bankruptcy) and at the same time say that they are trying to protect the artist's. Personally, I hate Macs. But Apple was smart enough to see this as an oppurtunity to promote downloadable music; something most people didn't even know was possible. Now these internet dummies are out there trying to buy a Mac and IPod because they see it as new technology Man, what's this world coming to?

Cool! Alien on the big screen again, I will go check that out.

There a million ways why this won't work. A script kiddie could bypass any of these attempts. Just look at the CĂ©line Dion fiasco when she tried that, she basically just wasted millions on a service that a felt tip pen could render useless. And since everything is moving to digital and away from cd's, the RIAA will be forced to deal with downloading media regardless. CD players are old school, so I don't think they want to waste any money in that area. It will be interesting though how they tend to deal with the whole "Buy and download" strategy.

The Riaa has been screwing us on the price of music for years. When Cd's became popular, the price of tapes dropped off alot. So the excuse that it costs alot to make a cd to get a profit is bull. It's actually cheaper and faster to create a cd than a tape, but prices went up even more, because they know people will pay for it. But now i have the upper hand. It's way easier to open WinMX type a song and download in 25 seconds for free, same goes for movies ,video games, and media of all sorts. Is it wrong? Yes. Can I get in trouble? No. So now they are forced to drop the price and move to new technology. The fact is , is that only a small percentage of people actually know how to acquire media for free. If everyone knew how there would be a problem, but that's far from the case. The hell with cd's anyways. Everything is Mp3 format now anyways. Car stereos, Portable MP3 players, Laptops, Home PC's, Networking, even cell phones that I use are MP3 format. The RIAA is forced to change and they don't like it. Why would I want a cd that holds only 15 songs of one band, when I can make my own with anything I want on it for free, and it holds 200 songs instead. That's what it boils down to. Consumers have a choice that the RIAA does not want people to know about so now before the average consumer finds out , they are using these scare tactics. But at the same trying to compete also. So I win either way.

I download music on a daily basis and don't feel any guilt. Those RIAA can blow themselves for all I care. Law suits don't scare me either, bring it on!
