Thanks GutsAndCasca, the robustness of the VF-1 is really something. Every time I want to try something new, the VF-1 responds with nice surprises. Considering it transforms as well, I think the engineering of this toy is pretty amazing. Just a word of warming about that pose: I think it puts a fair bit of pressure on the hind-hip connection. Pose it and push your Valk at will, but don’t put too much downward force or the hind (the intake vent part) might crack, I am speculating…better be save than sorry .

Actually I tried the 1/60 VF-0S gun but the 1/60 VF-0S gun is bigger than a 1/48 VF-1 gun which means a 1/60 VF-0S gun will not fit into the holes of a 1/48 VF-1 hand. I didn't want to force the 1/60 VF-0S gun into the 1/48 VF-1 hand, so I used the 1/48 Stealth gun and hoped that the 1/48 Stealth gun would look good on a 1/60 VF-0S with a 1/48 VF-1 hand. If somebody is brave enough to try a 1/60 VF-0S gun in a 1/48 VF-1 hand on a 1/60 VF-0S, please sent pics, I like to see it...I'm just going to take a break, feeling a little dizzy... Is Everybody clear now??

Just got sick of the VF-0S keeps dropping the gun, exchanged the hinged hands with a pair of spare TV hands...not perfect...but much better. Has anyone tried any recast DYRL fixed hands, they should look even better. As Seinfield said:"I need hands!!!"

I wonder if paint chipping will be an issue? I think all other valks had been pre-coloured ABS with little paint.

You have just given me another reason to buy the Stealth Strike Pack... Infact this darker colour looks closer to the movie image than current Yamato's SS Pack. Just wish Yamato would sell the Stealth S Pack separately... BTY, VF-0S cannot do this pose, proving that VF-0S is slightly less posable than VF-1, Dame!!!

My opion to combat Defect 1 & 4: 1: I have one very loose and one very tight flap; I turned both the flaps up 45 deg and they stayed in position nice and tight. 2: For people whom have yet open their nose cone, just don't do it, it will save you alot of trouble to put it pack. Took me 10mins of giggling to get back 99% fit.

VF-0S bites...Roourff!!

This is not a bad pose either, the trick is bent the hind and have them infront of the chest plate . Love this toy, but I desperately need a fixed hand to hold the gun properly.

Yeah, my L.V got real jealous of the Stealth’s fast pack and decided to take matter to its own hand . I have more pics here.

I have the floppy left wing flap issue too, but the right wing flap is bloody tight. Regarding the dents on the wing, my theory is due to the black colour which makes reflection stands out alot more than a matt white, thus any slight imperfection is multiplied by 10 folds. However, overall, I like it (QC & Colour scheme).

Got my Stealth SP. No complaint about the actual toy, I quite like it myself. But the packaging must be one of the laziest and stupid box design I have ever seen. If they can't be bother to redesigning a Fighter/Strike combo packaging, they should just release them separeatly. I thought the Japanese are proud of their packaging skill? Please pick up your game, Yamato!!!

With what you have accompolished already, I can't tell if you're joking anymore. I showed your clip to my work mates (they know nothing about Macross or Fighter planes) but they simply freaked out. You should be the Prime Minister of our country or at least the Defence Minister!!!

I think that slight-cream white suits the VF-0S alot, makes it stand out from the 1/48. I like it.
