Let's put it this way, you didn't get robbed. I don't think you can get a new VB-6 lower than $100 + shipping these days. You might get lower price if you are lucky with a second hand. You'll forget what you paid when you transforme it to battroid mode, it is awsome. On that note, does anyone know if the VB-6 will be re-issued? On HJA's site, it constantly reads as "back-order". I am hoping to get one more if the VB-6 gets a tighter joints when Yamato decides to re-issue again.

I am thinking of the same thing too. It looks kind of cool and big but it looks very unbalanced. Can it stand up on its own?

Getter Bites Actually, I swear I remember my Aoshima Getter had a warning note completed with pictures to warn people about the spike. I tossed it out at the time and thought: "they are abit too careful, ain't they...well, may be not By the way, just noted there are pre-order for the Ideon on YJP for round 17,980 yen. That is great news, the usual trend is in a few months time, there will be YJP biddings that goes for less than the pre-order price. I originally thought it might be around the $200 mark. Ideon

Ha...ha...I changed my review and it now reads: "it has little soul"

Ha..Ha... The commentating and the way he handles his SDF-1 in the video is like watching a triple bypass operation, especially when he pulls out the pin and use it like a retractor.

But you need the lance to start the 3rd impact and to cut up Eva 002 They would be really evil if they did split up the wing and the lance. I reather they charge each Eva005 abit more than having 2 Eva005. 18 Eva 005 are beyond my reach and common sense....

Good plan. When the time comes, we'll collect a few more locals!!!! I'll need 3

Is this a prototype? May be the air intake is not quite finish in design?? Yamato really can't leave it like that, the SV looks best in fighter mode and that would be a shame.

My Eva Spec arrived today. Like: - great playability, its posability is top notch - even with the armor on. - its ability to drop the shoulder means it can perform a lot of emotion gesture that other action figure can't do (see my Eva's Bruce Lee stand pose - note how the left shoulder is dropped - and yeah, I love that thumb up hands!!! ) - parts fit very well and armour holds up nicely when I play with it. - with a relatively light body, it stands up on its ow with most poses. - the price: for $45, it is great value. Dislike & Improvement: - it has little soul (of chogokin) : very few chogokin (metal) are used. - Unlike some of the quality GX line SOC, plastic is used here to save money rather than for a specific purpose. I don't have a problem with it as a plastic toy but why give it the SOC tag when it is clearly just anothr Bandai pre-assembled injection kit? The way Bandai increasingly uses plastic in some of their later SOC are really stuffing up the SOC brand. - the purple colour is bearable but it is just so flat and unexcitable. The armor (even the metal parts) has no feel of weight at all - hello??? armor = weight!!!! I would have excused the toy's lack of metal, if a nice metal colour was used. - the sculpt is nice enough for me to like it but a few minor improvements could have improve the toy so much (e.g. the armor needs more muscle tone, the horn & the forearm blade are too chucky, more details to the helmet, chest plate & shoulder blade). The smaller EVA SOC was a good start interms of sculpting, don’t understand why or how Bandai can manage to go backwards… ) - the removable armor gimmick does nothing to me. As said before, the basic body looks like a manikin and you want it to be clothed. The process of puting and removing the armor is not that pleasurable, too. A waste of time, - I prefer a properly sculpted big metal Eva that this gimmick. - Very few accessories – the Evas are famous for their accessories, very disappointing Potential breakage: - See the shoulder joint pic below, it looks kind of fragile. It really should have been in die-cast. - The groin ball joint is also plastic. Because the rotation seam of this ball joint is covered up by the armor, it is hard to tell which way you can rotate the leg properly – if you are not careful, I think it is prone to breakage, which this reminds me of an earlier pic of a broken hip of this toy. [attachmentid=40842][attachmentid=40843] Overall rating: 7/10 Strangely enough, with so much negative comments, I kind of like this Eva. The combination of low price, decent size, and great posability were enough to make Eva fan like me to like this half-attempted toy. But it could have been done a lot better....

That's right. Hikaru can start the whole “Biblical Men with multiple wives†again. Set the right path to man kind again…and no 50/50 assets split.

Like you say, finding the source would be the difficult bit for non-Japan residents. If Yamato really wants to help oversea customers, they can leave a pile of fix to a number of better known on-line suppliers . i am not counting on free replacement from my supplier (it will be too much hassel for him and Yamato), I think most people here would be desperate enough to pay for them for a small cost if we know which supplier to order from. Kensei's idea of bulk buying from one supplier and then distribute them locally will save everybody down under alot on individual shipping.

Actually, with this colour scheme, the texture of ABS should be quit suitable. But Of course, I always vote for metal.

Good man, might as well make use of and experiment with the 1st issue of VF-0A.

I'll be one one of your Aussie blokes....

I am joining the cracking team... I actually haven't been following this thread in details. When people mentioned the shoulder faults, I thought they were talking about loose joints only. I now realise the seriousness of this shoulder problem. I checked my 2 VF-0S and 1 VF-0A, all three are the 1st issues from Japan supplier. The VF-0S are OK but there are definitely signs of very light stress mark (but no break), the left shoulder is worst off. The VF-0A was in fighter mode since day one and was never transformed. Upon inspection, both shoulders had cracks developed already. I think had I actually transformed it and play with his arms, they would not last for more than a day. The ball joint seems to be too big at a particular point and stressing the socket when it rotated to that point. After some heavy gsuper glue treatment, they seems OK. I think they will be staying in fighter mode until I can get my hands on the fix….Here are the pics of the VF-0A: [attachmentid=40800][attachmentid=40801]

Wow, that is a nice bird. It looks so delicate and slim yet big. Love it so far. Thanks for the pics.

Seems a bit small. I can put up with the smallness if the bike is make out of die-cast - the shinny metal cover would be a nice touch but of course it ain't going to happen so I think I am on the boarderline with this one. But it is nice to see a transformable Motoslave.

I wonder if the cloth can be removed and let the joint exposed. The more I look at them, the more I am irritated. $100 is bearable, but given the amount of diecast, I can only remain hopeful.

Hikaru definitely striked. He would be an idiot if he didn't. Their priority is to propogate and replenish the planet…

You don't have to understand... move on...

That is one awsome package. Let's hope the price tag stays near the 20,000 yen

From just sculpting point of view, I'll say the Max Factory's WF2007 display beats the SOC Spec by miles. It is one mean, lean, muscular looking Eva-01. This is how a beast should be. Have to wait for more info, not sure of its height, materials, articulation, etc. [attachmentid=40763]

I am sold, but I'll wait for comments from others about the nose...
