Guppy, Try this link. It appears to be similar to the SOC Spec concept, except the diecast are inside th body. The sculpt is quite nice.

Please be on the lookout for something that was stolen!
Mowe replied to Sumdumgai's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Let's not call the owner stupid, it is bad enough that his stuff got stolen. Let's focus on how cursing the thief and hope his balls gets cut off if he does not return the goods...never underestimate the power of cursing, words can be a powerful thing.... -

Do we have a visual of what we are talking about (sorry, I am no SW fan but I like to keep my eyes open) BTY, I am sure there is a country or religion that cut your dick off if you steal from your brother... -

Got mine as well today (Thanks Samurai Monkey again for quick and hassel free services). Agreed with wolfx, the locking sucks but is OK if you don't flip the plane upside down. And yes, it is just a mould, but a nice one when it sit on a VF-0. Would have been nice if the wings can sweep, considering its cost. If it is displayed alone, it looks like a $50 plastic frog, but it look sh*t hot when it humps the Vf-0. I didn't like the 0S combo, so I tried it on the 0A, and I liked it. [attachmentid=42575]

Starsceam looks very cool, but how the hell does Megatron transform to a gun?
-
Yeah, the blue Ghost looks out of place on the 0S but it might look nice on the 0A - Grey and Blue should be a winner. My half attempt on a Stealth Ghost 0S - humm..not sure either [attachmentid=42465][attachmentid=42466]

It looks pretty cool, like the CM Patlabor. I just wish the original design was not green. It just doesn't look right on the YF.

This is a must have, but for once, I'll hold out until the report card is issued with QA.

I just got my 1/4 Rei and the order was made a year ago. Don't worry, HobbyFan might be slow (very slow) but they are always reliable.

That is what we are missing, a cheap Valk with great possability!!!!! Damn, can you imagine how many VF variants they can milk!!!!! But revoltech Destroids are welcome too.

Good on ya Scream!!! Save 4 sets for me, too. I am from Sydney, the batch can go to Scream Man and I'll pick them up from him.

How does Haruhiko Mikimoto rate as a Character Designer?
Mowe replied to UN Spacy's topic in Movies and TV Series
His old stuff are my all thime fav, but I don't like his recent stuff, they looked too refined and hated those little noses. -
Oh, that is good. I have't seen it but I read a few articles and it got some worst anime of the year award. May be they had too much expectation. Also, a few of my friends have seen it and they really didn't like it. I guess i'll have to see it this winter when it screen in Sydney. I don't mean to put his son down, just telling what I heard.

Thanks to fellow countryman Scream Man, my Alphonse arrived today Love it. The details to this diecast is exceptional. Well buillt, well designed, nice accessories, and the light, OMG I was very bothered by the cloth when I saw close up pics, but when it is in your hand, you don't really notice them. So I am very glad about that. I actually quite like this size. I suppose if it is as big as the 1/48 Valk, the details might become a bit plain. It certainly sit well next to the average SOC. This would be a perfect toy if the upper leg has better rotation movement. Is a waste not to have more flexiable joint when they can be hidden inside the cloth. Tempted to get the TV version, so 1 & 2 can stand side by side, hope the price drop below 90USD in the near future . Anyhow, here are some comparision shots for those who are not sure of its size (note how the Alphonse is shorter than the Mazinger SOC, but the Alphonse weighted a lot more and felt much more sturdier). I always thought the Ghibli Museum is the commercial side of the Studio that doesn't quite fit with Miyazaki's vision. I have never being there myself, but from pics I have seen, the quality of the displays and the general concept of the museum just doesn't have the same level of quality and care when compared to his films (this is purely my personal view ). I think a tour of his studio would definitely be a richer experience. I remembered he talked about how he planned the studio to reflect many of his personal beliefs - women equality, staff (non) hierarchy, balance of pleasure and work, even environmental issues (e.g. bicycle parking at roof top). Anyone knows what he is up to with his next film (after the flop of his son’s debut movie)? Bty, I think the museum is ran by his son (if that means anything… ). Thanks for sharing the pic anyway.

I reckon Aoshima has gather enough cash from their Getter and Mazinkasier sale to move on to the next phase. I love Aoshima metal, paint job and sculpt. Let's see what they can do with their transforming skill.

Studio Halfeye Perfect Change Getter Robo
Mowe replied to kanedaestes's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Ok, I am a little slow but I finally managed to have time last weekend to put the Getter 2 together. It was fiddly (took me 2 hrs ) but to my surprise, once I tighten all screws, it stood up quite well. You’ll note that I didn’t exactly transform Getter 2 the way S.H.E demonstrated. I didn’t like the skinny Getter 2 arms, so I pulled out the Getter 1 arm and it kind of looks cool (like that india God Shiva... ). Anyhow, here is the Renewal SHE Getter 2 next the original SHE Getter 1. P.S. I tried Getter 3 as well, but it was a shamble. Getter 3 is a mess, I don’t recommend people to transform their SHE Getter into Getter 3, a waste of time. [attachmentid=41663] -
Bastard Let's burn HG's headquater anyway!!!

Is not like HG is making any destroids themselves. This is the difference between a selfish company when compared to the tolereance GK industry in Japan. F%$* you HG. We must have a spy amongst us. F%$* you, too

As far as I know, reading from the promo page, they say it has all the accessaries of the original plus the extra stuff. The only thing that might be different is the busted chest plate which you might not get the original peice.

Hummm...you got me thinking...some memebers on this Forum actually has enough Yamato 1/48, 1/60, & 1/100 to make a real Yamato Macross Chess Set. Mabybe, you guys in the State can do that for the 2007 Macross Con...

Got the Takatoku 1/55 VF-1J for my 6th Birthday from my folks (the first birthday gift I could remembered). That seeded my love for Macross toy, but didn't start seriousely collectting Macross stuff till 20 years later (when I could actually afford my own stuffs)
