I was hoping TF could get the same treatment as Xmen 1 & 2, that is, converting a surreal anime/comic story into a live action drama that addresses some of the real life issues as the under tone. From that point of view, TF was not as successful as Xmen 1 & 2. Lets get Bryan Singer to take over the sequel. However, as said before, TF was still a lot of fun.

Hey guys, check out the next SOC: Baikanfu!!!!! Just like Gardian, he transform like a Russian doll. Woo!!!! Whhoooo!!!! Source: Japan Robot

Saw the moview yesterday, that was a lot of fun. I was so happy to once again hear Prime called out "Autobot, roll out!!!"

Like others, I like to see the 2 seater. I am so desperate to see a complete 1/48 fleet that I don't care if it is not perfect transformation - just give me a repaint of the 1/48 VF-1 with: 1. a VF-1D head and matching chest plate; 2. a VE-1 head and the fast pack; & 3. a VT-1 head and the fast pack. Honestly, if I was stupid enough to pay $60 bucks for a non-transforming plastic raptile humping my Vf-0S, I am sure I will be happy to pay more for a 2 seater colour scheme on the old Vf-1 mold + some extra peices.

Did you got (1)Yamatoed or are you too (2)Yamatotionalized to care?
Mowe replied to Beware of Blast's topic in Toys
I've been yamato'ed but one look at SV-51 and it is hard not to be yamatotionalized. Surely, it is Yamicidal to buy more VF-0 now, knowing the shoulder problems have yet been fixed but but there is always hope with Version X issue. When enough people confirm new Yammies are trouble free, I am happy to bag them home again. -
The Gerwalk and Battroid modes look sweet in FP. Your pics looks great!!!! Can't wait till mine arrive!!!!

The latest Yamato Macross problems are design issues (poor materials selection and poor engineering). No point in looking (or hoping) for other causes. As said by others, all Yamato's Valks are made in china, the Japanese are getting the same toy as everybody eles. I don't see how the Japanese buyers are more gentler than other buyers from around the world. Beside, how much more gentler can we be when a number of us find the problem with just one transformation striaght out of the box. The only uncertainty I have in regards to the differences between products from a Japanese Seller and a China/HK Seller is that it is possible that some unchecked or faulty products are being slipped out from the back door of the factory.

The best thing to do right now is just leave the toy alone and admire it from a distant. I am positively sure it is not a good idea to rotate the shoulder (the ball joint) too much. I also think slightly loosen the screws (shoulder and elbow) would ease off the stress.

Hey, the revoltech are growing!!!!!!
-
Yap, I think our last hope is that the POM is used and if stress mark shows up, let's hope the POM can keep the shoulder together. If only I know how to diecast parts...

I am not happy about my VF-0A combo but I don't think it is fair to accuse any MW members for mis-lead info. Graham is not a Yamato staff, he only told us what he heard, so I don’t think we can blame him for Yamato’s problem. Had I been more cautious, I should have wait for reviews, instead of pre-ordering. Now that I have learnt my lesson, I will never pre-order Yamato Valks again. I am pretty sure many people have hold back pre-ordering of the SV-51 and if Yamato doesn’t raise its game, they will eventually dig themselves a hole.
-
Oh, heard about this. It looks freaking awesome. I don’t mind about the size any more, the other 2 CM Patlabors are just so well built and had so much diecast. My only concern is will the Griffon be able to stand up on its own? The Revoltech had this problem and they were made out of plastic.
-
Thanks Graham . If Yamato can clarify what was used, we can make decision accordingly: to get or not to get the spare parts.
-
A way to get around that is to use the spare from Eva-03.

New to me. Two of my fav shows in one hit, great finds

Still the denial At this stage, it really doesn't matter if it is POM or cheap plastic, as far as I know, there are two combo Shin Valks have shown stress marks already. Hard deceision for those whom have yet bought one?

Ummmm....why do we need the entire arms??

Welcome to the bottomless pits From what I understand, Aoshima is less consisitent with the way they number the variants of their toys. It is possible for the toys to have the same number but have different paint application. So don't use the number as guide. The only way to tell is by the additional sticker on the front of the box. Go to Reply 141 of this thread, you'll see what i mean. Maybe you can PM Tsurugi from Robot Japan, he is the craziest Aoshima Getter & Mazinkaizer collectors i have ever come across, I think he has all variation, so he must know. LINK

Star Dragon, can I ask it that a SOC Dragon Getter on your Avatar? It looks so nice but I don't remember the SOC has such a nice sculpt. Sorry, slightly off topic

Get ready guys, here comes GX-40, Baikanfu!!!!! Bandai, I love you, please do Gardian, soon [attachmentid=43196] source: eclipsevv from Robot Japan

Hey mechaninac, you should be careful with how much glue you put on the surface of the inside of the shoulder area. I think one of the causes of the stress mark is because the ball is fitted too tight against the the dark grey parts. Too much glue on the inside might put the dark grey peice under more stress.

Ha...ha...you are right, I better stop calling it the ankle before we have another 20 pages discussion of whether SDF-1 has knee or not...
