Well...well..well... I might pick up the movie version. Hopefully, it will have more gadget.

I know your Shin OA is fine, it survived 2 more transformations... Even our own guru agreeds that the VF-0 has a fantastic sculpt. It just seems odd to me that they are not using the VF-0 for the 25th Anni repaint. Surely, someone from Yamato made a conscious decision to dump the VF-0 , you have to wonder....

Is the "official" VF-11 side drawing really off?

Is this too big? -
I'll wait 5 more years for the 30th Anniversary Minmay Guard Moon Phase edition. Actually, interesting to note that they left out the VF-0 for the black repaint...they have likely gave up on the shoulder...

I really like the VB-6 Monster, it is just so diferent and so big!!!! The fixed YF-19 is amazing too, its sculpt and proportion is so nice in battroid - can't believe they pull that one off.

I think many heap breakage occures because the black ball joints is hard to read (and it is made out of plastic...). When I first saw the posability of the Eva Spec, I was happy because I thought I can have unlimited hours of fun with it. Unfortunately, it is too risky to play with it too much. So it ends up as a show peice. That is why I like the Revoltech - they are toys that I can play with (and cheap enought for me to be rough with it). Also agreed with chet, very disappointed that it has no left armor - that is cheap skate from Bandai and very cunning - people can't just buy the 400% syc, if they want a complete figure, they have to pick up the original or the movie version.

I like to see the YF-19 in Batrroid

By the way I thought no more re-paint from Yammi for the 1/48 If Bandai decide to dip into the Macross market seriously, we should be the ones benefit from it....let's hope.....

Hey Guys, looks like HLJ might not take order for the EX-Gokin Mazinger. This is what 95sihb wrote on Robot Japan: Link "Dear Eric, Both items are Fewture Direct exclusives only. HobbyLink Japan does not carry items that are exclusive to any store, website, magazine, or convention. Thanks for writing. 08/15/2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joseph Tsai HobbyLink Japan (www.hlj.com) Better start look for alternative if you are after pre-order purchase.

Revoltechs are so addictive...

That's great news with the re-paint Waves SDF-1. I always wanted one more to display it in the cruiser mode, but prices of the original got really high. That' great. By the way, i actually like the original colour scheme alot, it has that luxurious metal feel to it.

Don't worry, Shinji might not be doing any pulling physically, but trust Anno or his staff to slip in those metaphysic symbols.... and who is getting intimate with Misato?? May be they are trying to suck more out of the wicked relationship between Shinji and Misato in front of the raising Phallic Tokyo-3 city.... And to the question of is this any different to the old Eva? Of course it is, a bigger budget and less Anno...

With all these awesome new stuff coming out....I am speechless Maybe one comment: why didn't they do the original Jeeg? It is one of the few remaining old fashion super robot missing from most collector's wishlist for gokins.

You are right!!! Professor Robot, RIP.....

Actually, when Sato was designing these EXGohkin figures (including the Mazinger 1901 & the Getters), he was thinking of what would these super robots look like if they were built during the industrial revolution. And to his credit, when I saw the silver Borot the first time, I could help but see smoke and steam coming out of that baby. Go to this page if you want to read more about Sato's thoughts on his own ExGokins: Professor Robot

I guess a couple more wouldn't hurt....just to back up M73's post...he...he...

HLJ must have missed the boat when the colour schemed versions were first introduced. The colour versions were supposed to be limited to 1500 each. I am guessing the colour version were limited because Fewture knew Sato's original colour scheme were likely to be less popular, having them limited will definitely boost the sale. I am pretty sure many people much prefer the latter silver scheme which will be mass produced. I think only the hard core collector will be buying the colour version. Also, I assume the colour scheme versions are a little more costly to produce. I never understand why Toywaves kept that "Getter set" as pre-order for years, unless the HK local manufacture decided to do so like they did for the 1901 Mazinger set. Aoshima is worst than Yamato when it comes to cash grab. I wish they can just get on with it and give us Getter 2 & 3 and Dragon Getters.

Guppy, I am almost certain I will be going with HLJ. The nice thing about them is that they quote in yen and I pay them in yen (less exchange rate lost). I'll drop you a PM to confirm when they are ready to pre-order, that would reduce the shipping alot.

Sweet Lord Jesus, the Shin Getter and Black Getter are wetting my pant Great stuff Wolfx
-
Yes, I agreed. There is just something not quite right about the sculpt proportion. But hell, they still look fun and you can't beat the revoltech posability.
-
I agree. We don't need smaller and cheaper revoltech. What we need is the exact opposite: bigger and happy to pay more. Don't understand this move at all.
