Isn't that the opening movie for the Gundam SEED: Never Ending Tomorrow game? The sad thing about that clip is that I enjoyed that a LOT more the ending battle for Gundam SEE Destiny. I have that clip on my computer, not the full thing but the part where the music starts. This was the first time I saw the very beginning with the EA assult on the ZAFT base. A damn shame that the only time we see decen to ace EA or just plain natural pilots is in the manga that isn't even the main story. I really think and wish that the Astray mangs and msv could have been the main story. Is it normal for the MSV/addition manga stories to be better then main story when it comes to a Gundam show? Or is the main story usually better from past examples? Been wondering about this.

Weren't both Teen Titans and Justice League getting pretty good ratings? Damn shame to see both gone. I heard something about CN only wanting their own shows on the network as much as possible instead of shows owned by other companies but this doesn't apply to the whoel Adult Swim or Toonami slots. Is this true? Could it be they don't want to pay money to companies like Warner Bros for new episodes of shows since getting anime shows might be cheaper?

I actually like the episode, mainly cause it was more advancement for Apollo which I think had been lacking recently. Not to mention the whole dark side of the fleet. Makes him more human I feel and I might be wrong I see him becoming somewhat more like Adama in this episode, especially at the end where the President clearly wasn't happy with either of them due to Lee's decision on the Black Market and with Adama backing his son on his decision. The show of trust between of them was nice to see. Kinda reminded me of more of the original BG episodes were you had Apollo and Starbuck out doing other things beside flying. I'd actually like to see more of Lee in non-flying situations.

I always thought that was case with Apollo. He certainly doesn't lack the skills just that he never seems to take the next step to go overboard the way Starbuck does. He's more in control. As a result that kinda makes Starbuck the better of the two. I'm sure those on Galactica would realize both, which is why he was CAG and she wasn't. I missed this weeks episode, at least I think I did. Was the whole thing with Apollo wanting to die, from the premire of the Part 2 of the season, continued and looked at more? I found that the most interesting part of that episode to be honest. I liked the whole thing mostly but that's what really stands out, that and how Cain died (that face off with her and Adama via Starbuck and Cain's 2nd was interesting as well.).

Yeah, at first I was wondering if the animation team just had a serious off day but then realized it was actually apart of the story.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
Effect replied to Effect's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The author of this new Vader novel does seem pretty hit or miss at times. I've heard that Labyrinth of Evil was pretty try but Star Wars : New Jedi Order - The Unifiying Force was actually pretty good. Not good enough to save that entire series of books (nearly the whole series was just bad, shock value, poor planing, etc.... think the horribleness that was Gundam SEED Destiny but spread out over some 19 (I think that's the number) novels) but still pretty good in it's own right. I want to get the dvd but I'm going to wait a week or two. No going to go out and rush to get it. Take my time. They aren't going to discontinue it after a few days. Plus I'll wait and see which stores are having it at a lower price or putting it on sale for a short time to help sell other items in the same section. -
PREDATOR REMAKE, Terrific now my childhood

Hell, let's find sponsors!!! 340705 I get the strangest feeling that would almost work if the intent was fully made ahead of time. -
PREDATOR REMAKE, Terrific now my childhood

I don't like being negative about things and always perfer to see something before I judge but this just seems like a really, extremely bad idea. Though I'm not surprised by it though. Predator, while a bit dated still holds up extremely well, same for Alien and Aliens. There is no need for a remake. They would be better off making a Predator 3. Why in the hell would they do a remake? That's the thing that makes no sense to me. You already have a built in fan based for Predator. The first one is clearly the most popular, though I didn't think Pred 2 was that bad but the whoel urban setting took some getting used to. You risk a LOT more with a remake though and I thought Hollywood was about playing it safe? That's what I don't get. You create a HUGE chance of disappointing people by doing a remake since nearly the entire fanbase young and old clearly remember Predator or have the dvds. It's not like people don't remember it or it's been a hundred years since it came out. Can you just imagine the backlash toward the director or studio that will take place if this poo bombs the way it appears it will be? Word how bad it is, if it is, will spread like wildfire. Do they honestly think they can improve on it or do they not even care but want to make an action film without even looking at why it was so popular to begin with. It brings me back to the question of why would they even do this? I bet they looked at the Pred movie and saw guns, explosions, guys with shirts and figured that was why it was popular while ignoring every thing else that actually made it good. -
Every time I used the VB I always came away from it with a headache and that's just from using it in stores. Since I suffer from serious migraines there was no way in hell I was going to pick up something that pretty much assured me that I was going to get a headache after each use, even as a kid I knew better then that back then. Maybe had they did a better or different job of how you viewed the screen..

Bizarre really is the word I'd use to describe this film. I wasn't even sure what to think of it when I saw it the first time. Didn't dislike it, in fact there were a lot of parts I liked a lot but the whole time paradox really threw me at the time. I've been meaning to watch it again to try and get a better understanding of it, if that is possible.

Hmm some very interesting episodes. Can't wait to see these. Even without information on episode 11 we can guess what happens.

Advance Wars:Dual Strike has been one of the best games I've played but also one of the most frustrating as well. It's so damn hard at times but I love it.

Peter Jackson to exec produce HALO movie
Effect replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Halo actually has a pretty decent storyline. I've only read the Fall of Reach novel which leads into the first Halo game and it was pretty good. I'd say if they have the author of the novels and the story writers of the game actually helping with the screenplay then the movie, at least storywise, should be in pretty good shape. Halo 2's story was pretty good as well I felt. To be honest I'd actually rather watch the game being played and see how things play out then get frustrated at times due to there being no cheats to get you past some of the harder parts of the games. That's really my main beef about the games in general. As a result I don't even know how Halo 2 ends(not enough weapon and ammo drops for my taste to get through things). -

Would a non-CG Master Chief even be worth watching? We never see his face anyway and the way CG is now today they could maybe pull it off. Why limit his badassness by using a real person. -

he did all the movement (motion capture) and voice for Gollum in LOTR and I believe that he did the motion capture for King Kong as well. chris 334223 He was also the normal version of Gollum at the very beginning of Return of the King. -
F91 didn't work out cause Tomino woudn't play ball and give Bandai what they wanted in terms of story. He wanted to do it his way and they wanted more angst(Seabook to be another Amuro for example) from what I understand and full support went behind Gundam 0083 instead of Gundam F91 and as a result the series (which was on episode 13 I think, though I don't know if all those episodes were done or at least in some way under production at the time) got reduced to a movie. So skipping ahead isn't a bad thing, as long as those making it doesn't get support pulled from them. For all we know a series version of Gundam F91 could have been a hit but we'll never know now.

I'm just glad she looks semi-pretty and of legal age, unlike the girls in 90% of new anime. 333737 This is true. That is one thing I'm looking forward to about the new show. The adult characters in important positions instead of another show filled with teens. This is one of the things I enjoyed about both Macross and Robotech and all their versions. The characters always seemed range from late teens to 20s and above. That and the actual chain of command in the different shows. At least I can always count on that.

So she's still Lisa Hayes and not Lisa Hunter or has the whole Rick/Lisa relationship been dropped or after this long time they are still not married? I thought the long wait in the Sentinel movie was stupid but this is even longer if they still aren't married and still in a relationship. Though if they aren't anymore then it would make sense. As for the her design. I don't even care if she doesn't looke like the original version, this new version on it's own, she doesn't look that good I feel. Maybe had they kept her with longer hair and dropped the bun. Add a scar or two on her face that resulted from a console blowing up or being injured on a mission. I always looked at Lisa as the type of person that wouldn't mind getting down and dirty in a fight or getting injured to do her job for some reason.

I saw this a few minutes ago. Either they are upgrading things or something or they might be trying to cut off the negative Gundam SEED Destiny post before things get to out of hand. There were a number of them already made. Not to many actual threads but a LOT of post in the threads that were made that were pretty negative about the ending and the series itself. With them going to be releasing SEED Destiny on dvd soon outside of Japan I doubt they want potential buyers to see these opinions. Or just maybe there is a problem with the site and server and it has nothing to do with the above.

I've been wondering, has Big West as a company done anything lately other then create and relase Macross Zero? I mean anything. Producing, publishing, creating, etc anything at all? If not, does anyone know why they haven't or aren't doing anything at all? Why not creating a new series on their own? Creating something they can market in Japan and overseas that would appeal to their Macross fanbase. Create a Macross like series but without the name but keep it different enough yet similar enough that they don't have to worry about legal problems. Nothing stopping them from what I can see.

As long as the voice acting is decent and the price reflects a dubbed product I don't think it will be so bad.

There was that. Can't believe I forgot about that. -

Glad I'm not the only one that feels the new episodes aren't that good. Some have been okay but none of them so far have me laugh out loud or give me a good honest laugh the way the older episodes did. -
I hope so. I really enjoyed those scenes in the novel version of the movie. Was actually quite surprised they were taken out since while they would have made te film longer it would have been something viewers would have been interested in since it deals directly with the other films as well. Though time is important. I still wonder if someone will ever try to edit all the films together so they run all as one without, leading directly into each other as if they were one whole movie. I'm interested in just seeing someone trying to do it. The size of that file would be massive. Maybe when the Episode 3 dvd is out.
