  1. Well, it's a relatively "simple" transformation process, not too many ways for the Tread's arms and legs to transform. The proverbial devil will be in the features, accessories, Legioss connection mechanisms, added articulation, and little details they'll work in.
  2. I’m hoping those joints are made of metal or some durable POM(?) plastic. More important though, I really hope that whole shoulder assembly can hold a pose and not get floppy over time.
  3. Seriously. Did they really need to film the test shot in red lighting? I’m just waiting for someone to spoof the footage with the Daredevil Netflix OP theme. Totally unrelated, but thanks for the link. The stories Patrick Stewart told immediately after Jackman’s were . . . uncomfortably funny.
  4. I suspect part of the reason the Toynami Beta was so “leg gappy” in bomber was to accommodate the Alpha fitting into that gap for the fighter combo. I’m hoping that with Sentinel’s more compact design for the Legioss’ backside and feet/exhausts, this will eliminate the need for that design compromise gap, allowing the Tread’s legs to be closer to the center fuselage. Honestly, the Toynami Beta design would be a good starting point for Sentinel to build upon.
  5. Like I said, “minor” concern. More pressing, I do hope they can: 1). Improve the gap behind the bomber cockpit (and probably come up with a way to integrate in the Armo-Soldier chestplate with it too). 2). Minimize the gaps between the two main boosters and the central array (and likewise, minimize the gap between the thighs and center fuselage in bomber mode); 3). Incorporate the shoulder missile hatches that CM’s has; 4). Have the Legioss lock in place securely and have the overall fighter combo look good; and 5). Find a way to attach the Gatling gun in bomber and in fighter combo mode.
  6. Obviously, go with your favorite character. If you have no preference, Yellow does come with the saddlebags, the beam gun, and the beam rifle. Ray just comes with his pea shooter, no other accessories, and a pretty plain armor with no markings. This is, of course, assuming both are the same price, which you’ll probably wanna check.
  7. Exactly what @Convectuoso said. Also, the Alphas are as fragile and brittle and requiring kid gloves as everyone has claimed. But the Betas are generally solidly-built toys with ratchet joints in all the key spots. They got nowhere near the issues that the Alphas have. My only minor concern with the hard points are that they’d have to widen the gap in the forearms to get the wing and its hard points to fit. But missiles and the Gatling gun would be nice add-ons.
  8. ^^Nope, wouldn’t want if non-transformable. At all. Part of the appeal is that the bomber can be solo, turns into a robot/mecha on its own, and combines with both the Legioss Armo Solider and Legioss fighter modes. It ain’t like a FAST, Strike, or Armored Pack; it’s its own mecha entity.
  9. The Tread-god SPEAKS! We’ll see how it goes. I’m curious to see what design improvements Sentinel has in mind for the Tread (if they move forward with it). I really do like the design of the Toynami Beta, but there are problem areas where a few tweaks can improve the bomber look and add a few additional features. Would like the next iteration of the Tread/Beta to take an evolutionary leap.
  10. Probably need to throw in the correct sized pin. . . AND tell the factory workers the correct way to insert those pins so they don’t damage the plastic parts in the process.
  11. Duet In the Hands of the Prophets Both are standout eps from Season 1 and considered some of the best for the entire run.
  12. If you’re going for the combo fighter mode, the CM’s got a bunch of design flaws. Also, the Legioss’ head doesn’t turn. Can’t really say how solid the joints are, as the initial price and issues above kept me from buying them.
  13. It’s still an unknown if Sentinel will even make a Tread. And even if they do, it’s unknown if they’ll ever do one for the Zeta/red one. (You could argue that the blue and green were shown in the anime. But a red Tread was never shown.) Even though Toynami and CM’s made matching Betas/Treads. I pretty much stopped with the blue Toynami one. Like I said, lots of dice rolling to consider. Of course, I probably have a ton of time, given Sentinel’s slow release schedule.
  14. Thanks for the pics. Really digging the additional angles that the reflections are offering us. So, I got a bit of a conundrum: I’d like to get one of these Legiosses, and I really dig the Zeta. But I’m also a massive Tread-head. And IF Sentinel makes a Tread, it’ll most likely match the blue boy. And there’s no guarantee that they’ll ever make a matching red one. Decisions, decisions. . . I still have two copies of the Toynami blue combo (and the red Alpha). So, getting a red combo would be something a little different for me.
  15. It’s like a super-deformed Ride Armor. But instead of making the head oversized, they oversized the feet.
  16. Maybe she's shorter or the gap between the heel and the feet is just higher up? Even if it's correct for an actual bike, my only concern with the changed footrest design is that it'll be more prone to collapsing back when trying to pose Houquet on it. EDIT: Regarding the Zeta, I've always loved the solid color look of its fighter mode. Definitely makes her stand out from her other Legioss compatriots.
  17. Yep, looks like they tapered the legs more and made the feet less bulky. Looks like they're also going with a different style for the boosters in the wheels too. Getting closer to completing the team! Wonder if Houquet's bike or Legioss is gonna be released first, and if we'll see either released before 2021? (Half-joking, half-serious)
  18. Windshield looks like it still has the front tab. So, it should be able to tab back into place. Didn’t need to use superglue to keep it in place. But could be probably done as an extra step. Regardless, just be careful not to push the windshield too far down when changing to armor mode. It looks like you can push it in more, but then it starts to “lift” the windshield off of its place, making it more likely to pop off.
  19. As a dad, I’m about ready to go off on these last few comments. Understand, you got a family that lost both parents and a younger sister. You also have a husband who now has to explain to his three elementary age kids that his wife/their mom is dead. You have yet another family that has to bury a mom and her daughter. And that’s not even mentioning the Bryant family’s losses. You don’t like Kobe, fine. But realize others died in this accident as well. As a dad, it’s my hope that I never have to bury any of my kids. I hope we all haven’t become so callous that you can’t empathize with those that now have to bury a child. That’s bad enough. But three of these families are going to have to bury MULTIPLE family members. Let that sh*t sink in for minute, and imagine how you’d deal with that.
  20. Assassins and Protocols R2 leads the mission. K-2SO is the pilot and the muscle. Chop’s the hacker and utility player/jack-of-all-trades. And HK poses as the protocol droid, who also “dabbles” in killing meatbags quite efficiently. If we need a straight-man, we can toss in AP-5 for his snarky reactions to everything the other 4 are doing/saying. Threepio stays behind, because one of the other droids would probably shoot him or space him out the nearest airlock.
  21. The Rebel spy dude from Rogue One. Personally, I’d prefer a series that brings K-2SO, Chopper, R2, and HK-47 together for a Dirty Dozen type mission. The Stormtrooper body count and sarcasm would be immeasurable.
  22. ^^So, one of Chewie and Obi’s odd jobs can be getting clone tech unwittingly for Mob Boss Maul . . . and causing some “small” problems. See! This junk writes itself! On another topic, poor Cassian: he’s such a good spy that no one gives a crap about him (or his show) and he goes completely unnoticed.
  23. After a wild week of revelry on Endor, CHEWBACCA seeks the help of JEDI MASTER OBI-WAN KENOBI. Watch as these two experience hijinx, hilarity, and adventure, as they try to scrounge up enough credits for Chewie’s Ewokian child support!
  24. Yeah, the Alphas are Russian-roulette to find a good one. And even when you find a good one, there’s that fear that they’ll fail after a few transformations.
