  5. That was a hit-and-miss review from the Honest Trailer folks. In other news, interesting interview with Filoni: https://deadline.com/2020/05/clone-wars-series-finale-dave-filoni-interview-ahsoka-tano-mandalorian-1202927520/
  6. When you get too distracted and start futzing with your toys. . . Bridge Staff: Sir, we’ve got what appears to be an exponentially large Zentradi, umm, surfing off the main guns. Global: Take him out with the railguns. 501st: Oh poop.
  7. Thanks for the compliments everyone. In any case, more pics: Attack Mode with the guns up: Chest flared out: Ultra-double-top-secret GERWALK MODE!!111!!!!!! : You'll notice I haven't posted any pics in cruiser mode . . . . . . .welp, this quote came back to bite me in the ass: One of the main gun booms was floppy in cruiser mode. And the magnets I placed in the right boom didn't hold the damn structure up. Add in that you could really tell that one boom was longer than the other, and boom (pun intended), it was emergency repair time: Added magnets inside the styrene extensions to help link and connect the booms together (and use the more solid holding boom to support up the floppier boom). Trimmed the polystyrene to get the main guns to match a little closer in length. Cut down the styrene rod to help shorten the longer main gun boom. Of course, while doing all this, I tried to open up the front landing gear and wound up breaking the landing gear cover. Superglue repaired that, and I learned to always open that front gear up by pushing in the front part of the cover. I'll post pics of cruiser mode in a few days.

  12. I think the other issue is that Hasbro has shifted its emphasis to the 6-inch lines, trying to force that to be the collectors’ line. They already had trouble making in-scale vehicles at the old 3.75” scale, and those vehicles unfortunately had a tendency to go on sale or clearance a lot. So, I can only imagine how much more cost prohibitive it is to sell vehicles at the 6-inch scale. But again, I think Hasbro has been repeatedly dropping the ball for the past decade or so.
  13. Thanks for the compliment, but I know there's far better customizers than me. My spray painting technique is still hit-and miss. There's flaws in my work that I can personally accept, but I'd probably hold myself to a higher standard when doing a custom for someone else. I'm more than happy to share what I've learned and screwed up on (shameless thread plug! ), but it's just a fun diversion for me.
  14. How much did I pay for it? How much am I willing to sell it for? Or how much of the original is still left?
  15. Welp, Taika Waititi has been a part of The Mandalorian, as both the IG-88-type droid and as one of the directors for an ep or two. So, he has some built-up goodwill.
  16. Does it still count as “old school,” if you modded and customized the ever-loving snot out of it?
  17. If Hasbro and Disney were smarter, they should have had the following figures ready to be revealed for today: * Ahsoka Tano - Siege of Mandalore version; * Maul * 501st Clone Trooper - Ahsoka paint scheme * Jesse - ARC trooper version * Gar Saxon - Maul-Mando version * Bo Katan Doesn’t surprise me, but that’s just how it’s been.
  18. Had to look it up to confirm, but it’s from the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. * Because The Force Unleashed’s theme of “Kicking someone’s ass with the Force” is no longer on-brand for the Mouse. And Knights of the Old Republic (aka one of the best damn video games) is not part of the part of the Mouse’s official nostalgia remember-berries. * Haven’t played this game, so not knocking it. It could be a quality game for all I know. But it’s just the marketing team’s usual annoying focus on the latest new thang.
  19. The directors’ ep was fairly cool. * Convinces you that Filoni should have a bigger role in reviewing ALL Star Wars stories. * I never knew that Chow directed an ep of Mr. Robot. * And I would have loved to be a fly on the wall listening in on Ron Howard, Lucas, and Kurosawa having a conversation.
  20. Welp, the + has been pretty cranky about waiting until midnight (or a little later) in my time zone to release the last few Clone Wars episodes. So, it was surprising to see it already released this “early.”
