  1. So, I finished up all the Gallery episodes. Kinda fun seeing Favreau and Filoni absolutely nerding out. Definitely enjoyed the camaraderie and discussions between all the directors. And I’m amazed at how they’re using “The Volume” to film stuff now. It’s a nice peek into how they’re utilizing the technology and techniques to improve the filmmaking. Pretty sure it helps the actors too, seeing that they don’t have to act off of a green-screen. Lastly, Favreau and Filoni just “get it” about Star Wars. Even with the music, they know how to respect what came before, without becoming a rehash. But they find a way to be their own thing which enriches and expands the Star Wars universe. Really good “behind the scenes” /“making of” series!
  2. Thanks for the comparison pics! So, roughly the same size as Sentinel's Stick and Rey, meaning either the same height or slightly taller than the MPC Alpha. If this old pic of mine is anything to go off of, any potential Tread is gonna be another big boy! . Worth it!!
  3. Calm down, folks: There’s some shoulder rotation with that right shoulder. And the chest is still in place. The question is still how strong that joint is. Can the shoulder joint hold the arm parallel to the ground while holding the gun? That will be the proving pose.
  4. I’m so use to the Toynami set-up and the anime lineart that I keep thinking, “That’s not where the connection point is supposed to be!” But yeah, it definitely looks like the connecting boom. It’s like rain . . . on your wedding day. Or a free ride . . . when you’ve already paid. . . . Seriously though, still sucks regarding your situation. Would be nice if 2020 ends with Houquet’s Ride Armor being released, despite a recession being in place.
  5. I’m even liking the Half-Armo Diver mode they’re showing off. But just to balance out the love, [sarcasm] Why isn’t the Tread on the box art??11!!!! Oh noes! Sentinel is crushing all our hopes and dreamz! [/sarcasm]
  6. Looks promising. Thanks for the links and pics!
  7. Air superiority:
  8. Seriously, the graphics design team must be enjoying themselves: For an episode entitled: Alien Commies from the Future! : They even had the standard red Marvel beginning tag fade to grey start the episode proper!
  9. If you’re into film noir, internal monologues, and a hard nose detective story filmed in black and white, then this week’s episode would have hit all those buttons. Been a fun season so far. And at the very least, they’re killing it with the period-specific title cards!
  10. The problem with a 6” line, especially with Hasbro, is that they’ll never make any vehicles for them. That and their size and price makes it less feasible to display an army or troop build.
  11. Maybe Armo-Soldier mode? I’m just curious if the box art will tease a Tread in the background.
  12. I liked them well enough. Near the end of the line, the figures were loaded for bear in terms of accessories and weapons (Steel Brigade and Resolute/City Strike Snake Eyes, for example). The female figures were an improvement over the 80’s O-Ring versions. I liked that you could change the look of certain figures like keeping the goggles up or down for both Snow Job and Low Light. And once you learned how to pop open the torsos, it was relatively easy to pull off a bunch of customs. Even when the official releases were less than adequate, there were ways to make better versions (Grunt and Wet Suit come to mind).
  13. I'm wondering if the side of the helmet is supposed to evoke the head of a snake with its mouth wide open? I can see if they go with the first shade of blue, if the plan is to match up with the same shade of blue used for the Cobra Troopers and Cobra Officers. And on the regular release, they really need to make the butt of the revolver gold to match the hilt of the sword. Consistently colored cobra-headed weapons.
  14. ^^You’d take the originals even over the 25th Anniversary versions from a decade ago? I’ll concede the original vehicles have never been improved upon, but the figures? The 25th and follow-up lines were a massive improvement in a number of ways.
  15. "OBSERVATION: When you absolutely, positively have to kill every last nerf-herdin' meatbag in the room. . . accept no substitute."
  16. "PICK UP YOUR DOG'S CRAP!!"
  17. If you mix and match rod lengths, you can also use the Flightpose stands for Gerwalk and battroid mode poses: I will concede that the newer bases aren’t as solid and heavy as the older ones. And I’m not sure if they ever resolved the issue with the new clear tips. But they ain’t a shabby alternative.
  18. Wonder how well those pilot figures and mini Ride Armors would hold paint. Hypothetically asking, of course!
  19. Well, they gotta get the right shade of green for the paint.
  20. ^^ NOOOOOOOOOO!! Don’t put that kind of delay on my dreams!
  21. From a fixed pose figure to a ridiculously articulated Star Wars figure. “Force” Appeal:
  22. I wouldn’t mind it first too, but I suspect Houquet’s Legioss will come first for the following reasons: * It’s just a head swap, a new gun, and a change in paint. * We’ve already seen a fully painted prototype of the Zeta. * The most recent pics we saw of the Bartley ride armor are still unpainted prototypes.
  23. Can’t wait to see everyone’s reviews, comments, and pics. Really hope the shoulders and hips have solid joints. So, does this mean we can expect the red Zeta before the end of the year?
