    Yah "hobbitted" the figures! Peter Jackson would be proud. Martian steel: it's thinner than Terran steel but more resistant to projectile weapons and dissipates heat from a laser shot faster and more efficiently.

    It’s been awhile, but I don’t think I ever knocked Lucas for his design work and “big picture”/overall story arc ideas. He does know how to tweak ship or creature designs to make them more visually interesting. And the Prequels’ main story arcs are pretty good (the flaws in Anakin, in the Jedi, and in the Republic all lead to their downfalls). His fatal flaws are in his dialogue and his directing. He’s not exactly known as an actors’ director. And some of the choices or scenes he chooses to emphasize are kinda suspect. Add in the questionable repeated tinkering with the OT (adding the unnecessary “Nooooo!” to ROTJ’s most powerful scene). And I think everyone was ready for a new spin on Star Wars without Lucas’ worst tendencies. We knew the “highs” we would get with Lucas at the helm, but we were getting tired of the recurring “lows.”

    The problem with the sequel trilogy is the same issue with most of JJ Abrams’ stuff: scratch below the surface, and there‘s nothing else there. No depth of character, nothing more to the story but moving plot forward. Contrast it with animated Clone Wars. Tossed in a never-referred to apprentice for Anakin and slightly retconned an earlier take on Clone Wars. BUT it created rich characters, made you give a massive damn about the clones, and ADDED and gave more depth to the story tapestry of Star Wars. If they had a coherent plan for the sequel trilogy, they could have made a more compelling story for Rey. Has a longing to know who her parents/family are, discovers she’s Main Bad Guy’s progeny, but rejects her “destiny” to forge her own path. That gets lost in all the plotting for all three sequel movies.

    They went all-in on the 70’s style TV show opening credits: I’ve been enjoying the season, but wonder when they’re gonna start revealing and resolving some of the character problems.

    I mentioned this in a previous post. In @tekering’s pics, we saw that the space between the Legioss’ arms is thinner than what the Toynami Alpha had. This means that either 1). The Tread cockpit will be smaller than the Toynami, or 2). Sentinel will design a transformation process that will allow for a not-so-wide chest for Armo-Soldier mode but an appropriately sized bomber cockpit. My guess would be some sort of rotating assembly for the chest and cockpit pieces. But any design is really dependent on whether those notches on top of the Legioss’ arms are where a Tread is supposed to lock into place.

    Thanks for the pics and comments. So, based on what I’m seeing here, it looks like Sentinel’s Tread will be “thinner”/skinnier between the two white circles in the chest. That will probably allow the gaps between the legs and center fuselage to be smaller in bomber mode and allow there to be less of a gap between the center yellow array and the leg boosters in bomber mode. However, I wonder how that’s gonna impact the Tread’s cockpit size. I’m speculating that cockpit will rotate so that a proper Armo-Soldier chest can be displayed. But the Legioss’ arms look like they’ll go in pretty deep into the Tread. As far as selling off the MPC’s, I sold my greenie and Shadow years ago. But I’ll probably still hold on to the two blues I got (and the red I got I fighter mode). Believe me, I know how sucky the Alphas are. But I waited way too many years for the Betas, and you can’t have the Betas without sporting the Alphas with ‘em.

    Not a fan of his Batman films. At all. But he had a pretty interesting list of films in his resume. Phone Booth is an “under the radar” favorite of mine.

    Maybe after 50 shots of whiskey (give or take), Roy wouldn’t. Roy outwardly gave a devil-may-care attitude, but his real side was shown to Claudia. As for me, probably Exsedol. Smart bastard, can give good insight when higher ups actually listen to him. Not one you’d expect to grab a gun and hold the line, but one who could tell you where to put the guns strategically to win the battle.

    I’d still like to see a dead-on, straight on, flat shot of the A stance. All the pics shown so far are all at an angle. Not a deal-breaker by any means. . . I’m still in for a red, once it goes up for preorder.

    It really shows how compact they got the exhaust thrusters/feet for fighter mode. Same thing for Armo-Soldier mode with the nose cone not coming down so low. The only other thing I’d like confirmed is if the hips can tilt into an honest to goodness A stance. If it can pull that off and assuming all the joints are solid, we may finally have a worthy successor.
