    After handling multiple Toynami Alphas, I really don’t have too many complaints about Sentinel’s rendition. Articulation is off the charts, design is leaps and bounds over other toy companies’ versions, and it can hold poses solidly. If they can stick the landing with the rest of their releases, we’ll have one company as the go-to for all our Mospeada needs.

    Dumb musings: I think the Sentinel version will probably sink deeper into the Tread. The fact that the feet don’t extend so far past the boosters allows them to squeeze the two birds closer together. Also, it wouldn’t surprise me if the potential Sentinel Tread is a little “fatter” from top to bottom than the Beta. The Beta looks a little too flat when combined with the Sentinel Legioss.

    So basically, the Legioss’ wings would become canards for the the combined fighter, right? Wonder where we’ve seen a fighter with canards angled differently than the main wings. . . Pic courtesy of Macross Mecha Manual. Yeah, it’ll be different from what we’ve usually seen with previous Legioss/Tread or Alpha/Beta combos. But let’s see what Sentinel comes up with. For all we know they may design the Tread’s wings with the same slightly downward angle as the Legioss.

    Peachy. Makes business sense, but still. If they never do a red Tread, I guess I could always repaint a blue one. But I suspect we’re still a few years away from even getting a Tread (with everything possible in their Mospeada pipeline). I still don’t know what the slots on the Legioss forearms are for. But it seems like obvious connection points for a Tread.

    So between soon and vaporware, what’s the over/under on a Sentinel red Tread being added to this display: I’m thinking the over/under line is Summer 2024.

    Not to . . . BUT Sentinel, please get Houquet’s and the Bartley’s color correct. Pink doesn’t match with the rest of your earlier releases, but this color (or a slightly lighter red shade) DOES:

    If he’s only getting Houquet’s stuff, then the Toynami/Beagle would not be an option sadly. I’d say get both, but if choosing between the two? Go with the Ride Armor. Almost everyone’s done a Red version of the Legioss. But CMs smaller version is the only modern version of the Bartley Ride Armor available currently. Just pray Sentinel gets the color right.

    I actually like the darker shade of red too. Yeah, yeah, I know Sentinel is not beholden to the anime. But there are scenes where the Zeta is shown as dark red. Something different from previous versions isn’t a bad thing. Initially, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the two-tone red either. But I’m enjoying the heck out of the Sentinel design so much that the two different reds doesn’t bother me as much. . . . Can’t say that about the pinky pilot though.

    Well technically, there are no mutants in the MCU. . . yet. The closest we got was the Inhumans. But that series was DOA. And the Mouse is pretty much pretending like anything that happened in SHIELD and the Netflix shows never happened.

    Already pre-ordered Ahsoka and Maul on Hasbro Pulse. Too bad they didn’t announce the Clone Troopers with the Ahsoka custom paint helmets (in the Vintage scale). EDIT: I see Aurra Sing and Koska Reeves in the Pipeline pic. Who the heck is that middle person?

    True that. It’s just that, to use an analogy, the Matchbox is like a red gas giant star, while the SOC is a neutron star. For something so small, the SOC packs a poop-ton of weight and mass.

    Yeah, they just haven’t given them an in-universe MCU explanation yet. When most weird ish happened on Earth, it was SHIELD that did the work. Again, a throwaway line (“After the fall of SHIELD . . .” or “During the blip, we took over a lot of SHIELD’s work”) or some more background info about the agency would have helped make the introduction smoother.

    Of course, knowing Bandai’s style, they’d nickel and dime us for every Legendary Defender accessory out there: one pack for all the swords, one pack for the spread-out wings, etc., etc. They’d probably make us pay separately for the Atlas too!
