  1. If he’s only getting Houquet’s stuff, then the Toynami/Beagle would not be an option sadly. I’d say get both, but if choosing between the two? Go with the Ride Armor. Almost everyone’s done a Red version of the Legioss. But CMs smaller version is the only modern version of the Bartley Ride Armor available currently. Just pray Sentinel gets the color right.
  2. Looks like they’re trying to mimic the color of the original Kenner releases. Not my thing.
  3. I actually like the darker shade of red too. Yeah, yeah, I know Sentinel is not beholden to the anime. But there are scenes where the Zeta is shown as dark red. Something different from previous versions isn’t a bad thing. Initially, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the two-tone red either. But I’m enjoying the heck out of the Sentinel design so much that the two different reds doesn’t bother me as much. . . . Can’t say that about the pinky pilot though.
  4. Regarding The Expanse, I’m so ready for Drummer to start putting slugs into folks. One odd thing I noticed, I thought last week’s episode subtitled the edited message as
  5. Sh*t. . . Did I leave the keys in the bike’s ignition?
  6. Well technically, there are no mutants in the MCU. . . yet. The closest we got was the Inhumans. But that series was DOA. And the Mouse is pretty much pretending like anything that happened in SHIELD and the Netflix shows never happened.
  7. Already pre-ordered Ahsoka and Maul on Hasbro Pulse. Too bad they didn’t announce the Clone Troopers with the Ahsoka custom paint helmets (in the Vintage scale). EDIT: I see Aurra Sing and Koska Reeves in the Pipeline pic. Who the heck is that middle person?
  8. True that. It’s just that, to use an analogy, the Matchbox is like a red gas giant star, while the SOC is a neutron star. For something so small, the SOC packs a poop-ton of weight and mass.
  9. Way too many good quotes from that film! Some you can even apply to real life situations (sometimes at your own risk)!
  10. Yeah, they just haven’t given them an in-universe MCU explanation yet. When most weird ish happened on Earth, it was SHIELD that did the work. Again, a throwaway line (“After the fall of SHIELD . . .” or “During the blip, we took over a lot of SHIELD’s work”) or some more background info about the agency would have helped make the introduction smoother.
  11. Of course, knowing Bandai’s style, they’d nickel and dime us for every Legendary Defender accessory out there: one pack for all the swords, one pack for the spread-out wings, etc., etc. They’d probably make us pay separately for the Atlas too!

I’m dead @Convectuoso! Gotta get those TPS reports completed in triplicate!
  13. Happy Houquet’s rock red:
  14. After spending years handling Toynami’s Alphas, it’s so refreshing to handle a toy that holds a pose and doesn’t feel like it’s gonna flop if I even dare to look at it funny. The Sentinel is a little tricky to get all the shoulder hinges/joints realigned straight to go back into fighter mode. But it is a pretty ingenious design that they pulled off. In any case, less writing and more better colored Houquet pics:
  15. Well considering how many Mandos have lost their head to those surly Force wielders, it’s time for a little karmic justice!
  16. If we’re dreaming, then Bandai should release a Legendary Defender Voltron chock full of accessories including but not limited to: * The big honking cannon Yellow activates. * All the various swords Voltron wields during the series (including that literal flaming sword). * The massive angel-like wings Black Lion busts out. . . . And an IN SCALE, articulated-to-the-hilt IGF-Atlas!!
  17. Thanks everyone! Yeah about the thick white paint @tekering, I really should just buy a small bottle for custom work. But I’m too lazy (or cheap ), so I just pull it from a quart can we have for touch-ups around the house.
  18. Oh don’t get me wrong: I enjoyed the old Highlander TV series. They took the crazy rules and concepts from the first movie and developed and explored every possible conceivable story angle they could in the TV show. And if any composer can somehow toss in Queen-like riffs into Mando, I’m pretty sure Ludwig Goransson can pull it off.
  19. Nah, making it transformable is beyond my skill level. But Houquet seems quite pleased with all the changes and modifications:
  20. Why dammit? WHY?! Why did Sentinel mold me in hot pink?! STOP! Don’t look at me!
  21. I just hate that I’m losing my nearsightedness, as I grow older. Makes it harder to paint small details:
