I hear they're gonna add another carbonite block to the Razor Crest. Supposedly of a former Rebel soldier turned New Republic marshal. . . . . . . . . . . . . Too soon?

Oh. . . no, no, no! Phantom Menace is definitely pretty crappy. Jar Jar is annoying as hell, and Anakin's whole final space battle is almost a mirror of Luke's trench run. But TPM has Duel of the Fates. And if you've seen the explanation from Dave Filoni, he really explained why the events in TPM are so key. I still think TPM isn't good and am a disciple of Machete Order (IV, V, II, III, and VI. Leave out I), but I understand and appreciate what TPM was trying to accomplish. On the other hand, AOTC failed on a TON of fronts. Totally failed on the romance plot, especially Padme's motivation for liking Anakin. Too much saying stuff instead of SHOWING it or demonstrating it through the characters' on-screen actions (Anakin didn't seem all that great of a Jedi, very few scenes of Ani and Obi having a father-son or brotherly relationship). Non-exsistant banter or crappy banter between the characters. "I hate sand." CGI battle-fast that makes minimal sense when you really analyze it (Okay, save Jedi's. Then what? Go after Dooku? Then why send only two Jedi after him, especially the two Jedi that were probably the most taxed out of everyone?). Padme's fall off the ship, then merrily jaunt during the final battle. The bones of a good movie are there for AOTC, but it failed on way too many fronts and emphasized the wrong things.

I'd probably drop out Spider-Man 2 (too much sequel-itis: bigger action sets, bigger dangers for the hero, bigger everything. Plus, I personally think the first Raimi Spider-Man had a better story than the second one) and replace it with X2. Crazy good intro with Nightcrawler utilizing his powers to the absolute fullest. Wolverine fully, violently cutting loose in the mansion. All the little "burning bird" references making you think "They're not teasing the Phoenix are they?!" A story far better than the first movie's. You could probably also throw in Captain America: The Winter Soldier too. But the MCU films are a little trickier to judge.

Just right time and right place many years ago. One of the guys that used to post here a long, long time ago set up a group buy on his own message board, and I was able to get in on one. Plus, seeing all the customs being made and posted here back then gave me the itch to do my own slight minor custom. If you do get the full Stealth set, be ready to see a MASSIVE box. It may not be a mini fridge, but it’s still pretty freakin’ huge.

When you want to remind the Zentradi how many Regults and Glaugs you’ve taken down: Figured it was time to crack open the mini fridge box, break out the other super pack (rocking the @Anasazi37 stickers), and switch out the strike cannon:

Nice. It still trips me out that Sentinel makes it so that the yellow parts on the sides act as the “eyes” for the Legioss. So used to the front blue being a visor or eyes on the Zeta.

Marvel Studios TV Shows and Animation on Disney+

Yeah. . . badly. I wonder if WandaVision and Falcon/Winter Soldier switched release dates. Falcon/Winter Soldier looks to be more in line with most Marvel fare (like a good killer opening song in an album). While, WandaVision feels like that trippy concept album that not everyone is gonna “get” or “like.” I wanna enjoy WandaVision, but it’s just not clicking. . . And I doubt they have a killer surprise like Hydra hiding in the midst of SHIELD. EDIT: In fairness, I did enjoy the homages to the comic book costumes.- 1481 replies

B5 was starting to get its footing towards the end of Season 1. Curious how the story would have panned out had Sinclair’s actor been able to continue. Gotta give JMS credit for figuring out a way to pull off that change mid-story.

One of the legendary 1/48 bosses comes out! Beautiful shots of your massive collection! Remind me to never get into a war of attrition with your Valks.

Still my favorite VF-1 in the collection. . . though I should switch out the strike cannon every now and then:

Eh, give Toynami credit for taking a shot at a new-fangled design. They made a working cockpit and included a pilot that still scaled correctly with their Alpha (looking at you CMs Legioss and Tread!). The cockpit/chest design is not the most elegant of solutions, but they made up for it with the poop-ton of rock-solid, ratcheted joints all over the place. I’ll always have a soft spot for Toynami’s big burly bastard Beta. But I’m curious to see what 10+ years of advancements can improve upon a Tread/Beta toy. Now that I have a Sentinel Legioss in hand, I’m wondering if Sentinel will design a slide-in/slide-out Tread cockpit that gets covered up in solider and fighter combo by more accurate chest plate. I don’t think a variation on Toynami’s fold down method will work with Sentinel’s Legioss design. But the fact that the Legioss feet are so compact already should allow Sentinel to make the Tread’s bomber mode less gappy than Toynami’s version.

^^There’s room for design improvements on the Tread (looking at you, cockpit/sternum chest area!). But the transformation process is relatively simple. So hopefully, that’s one factor helping to keep costs down.

Except for the big glaring issue with the pin and stress marks on the Ride Armors, when something pops off on a Sentinel, I’ll freak for a second. . . and then realize it’s a quick fix to pop it back into place. I have a few Bandai pieces, and they are quality. But that preorder process is the absolute stinkin’ worse.

After handling multiple Toynami Alphas, I really don’t have too many complaints about Sentinel’s rendition. Articulation is off the charts, design is leaps and bounds over other toy companies’ versions, and it can hold poses solidly. If they can stick the landing with the rest of their releases, we’ll have one company as the go-to for all our Mospeada needs.

Dumb musings: I think the Sentinel version will probably sink deeper into the Tread. The fact that the feet don’t extend so far past the boosters allows them to squeeze the two birds closer together. Also, it wouldn’t surprise me if the potential Sentinel Tread is a little “fatter” from top to bottom than the Beta. The Beta looks a little too flat when combined with the Sentinel Legioss.

So basically, the Legioss’ wings would become canards for the the combined fighter, right? Wonder where we’ve seen a fighter with canards angled differently than the main wings. . . Pic courtesy of Macross Mecha Manual. Yeah, it’ll be different from what we’ve usually seen with previous Legioss/Tread or Alpha/Beta combos. But let’s see what Sentinel comes up with. For all we know they may design the Tread’s wings with the same slightly downward angle as the Legioss.

So, forearm embellishments and extra armor and ammo. . . . . . . . . . . . Like a TREAD?!

Peachy. Makes business sense, but still. If they never do a red Tread, I guess I could always repaint a blue one. But I suspect we’re still a few years away from even getting a Tread (with everything possible in their Mospeada pipeline). I still don’t know what the slots on the Legioss forearms are for. But it seems like obvious connection points for a Tread.

So between soon and vaporware, what’s the over/under on a Sentinel red Tread being added to this display: I’m thinking the over/under line is Summer 2024.

I’m surprised that was the season finale. Kinda was hoping for more of a resolution.

Not to . . . BUT Sentinel, please get Houquet’s and the Bartley’s color correct. Pink doesn’t match with the rest of your earlier releases, but this color (or a slightly lighter red shade) DOES:
