  1. Spouse and kids tend to slow the cycle down. . . . Didn’t say it stops it completely, mind you. Just slows it significantly.
  2. For a second there, I thought, “Oh crap! What new Voltron SOC did they just announce?!” My wallet and display space appreciate the breather.
  3. It doesn’t help that the Sentinel Zeta is also a darker shade of red than previous versions of the Red Alpha/Legioss. Really makes the pink hues of the pilot come out even more.
  4. What happened to the eskrima sticks?
  5. Thanks for posting this @technoblue. Never looked at the whole Minbari caste war and issues from that angle.
  6. I’m sure I’ve posted pics of Luke and Wicket before. But just wanted to snap quick comparison pics. That red Alpha got a busted heel booster, and the other heel has shown some cracks. So, kinda don’t want to move it too much. Plus, I’m super OCD about the positioning I got that Alpha and the rest of those birds locked in:
  7. Fighter comparison pics with the Toynami Alpha: Can definitely tell that the Sentinel Zeta is a few shades darker than the Toynami Alpha. I take back what I said earlier: the pilot figure is too pink, especially when contrasted to the darker red shade of the Legioss itself. A few observations after futzing with the mech more: * It’s so much easier to pull out the vertical stabilizers, if you open the whole thing up as if you’re flipping out the hands. * Glad the plastic in the arms is a little more pliable. Allows me to pull and get the forearm to open up so much easier. * I had a hell of a time trying to get the cockpit to snap back into place for fighter mode. There’s a little tab in the front that cockpit has to snap into. * Do wish we had the option to change the cant of the wings, but it’s a minor thing.
  8. Beauty & The Beast:
  9. The Beta is wise : Beta: ”And her arms ain’t floppy.”
  10. So yeah, one vertical stabilizer popped off when I tried to pull it out, and the back of one wing did pop off when I was messing with solider mode. But can she pull of the Bond pose? With legs in a nice A stance and arms parallel to the ground while holding a gun? Damn straight!! Regarding the Houquet figure, from far away, she looks hot pink. But close up, it can almost pass for pinkish red. More pics to come, when I get more free time.
  11. I know the red Legioss usually has Jupiter Base markings (not sure about Houquet’s Ride Armor). But no clue about your questions. Maybe Mospeada and The Expanse are the same universe, and Jupiter Base sides more with the Belters, and the Martians just wanna go to war with anyone! Would explain why Jupiter Base didn’t get more involved after awhile. To be serious though, perhaps that’s why that Genesis Breakers story has a female armor too (to add more females into the mix . . . and to milk that female mold Sentinel did up for Houquet).
  12. That’s purty and just about the shade of red I wouldn’t get too miffed about, if the 1/12 ride armor wound up being that shade. Just a slight hint of pink, but still falling on the more red side of things. Nice job!
  13. So hopefully, their “modern interpretation” sticks closer to red. Seriously, that pink just will stick out like a sore thumb in group shots. I definitely enjoyed the improvements and tweaks they did from the initial prototype to the second one. Just hope Sentinel can nail the colors next.
  14. Glad that something good came out of this whole “discussion.”
  15. I get slow-rolling the show and slowly peeling back the “real” story. But we’re treading verrrrrrry close to Inhumans, Iron Fist (Season 1), Jessica Jones (Season 2), Agent Carter (Season 2) levels of boredom here. Dumb wild theory time: With all the Hydra commercial references, I wonder if Agents of SHIELD’s Framework (kind of a spin on The Matrix) is involved and mixing with Wanda’s realty warping skills.
  16. ^^Wouldn’t be the first time for me, considering how much I paid for a Matchbox SDF-1 and a 1/48 TV Max (and maybe a YF-21?). But I’d rather not go down that road, and just have Sentinel go with the right color from the start. I actually wish Yellow’s ride was a little lighter or a more faded shade of blue, but it was close enough. If Sentinel gets Houquet’s color “close enough,” I’ll grumble a little and move on. But seriously, that metallic pink color won’t mesh with these guys:
  17. Like I said, we could argue this forever. Hell, the color of her armor varies even from scene to scene. Most of these scenes I snapped below show the armor leaning more towards red, but you can find examples in the exact same eps where it’s more pinkish: Bottom line: I don’t think we can rely on the animation to say whether the armor is definitively red or pink. PERSONALLY, I’d like for it to be definitively red. But if we’re arguing whether the final product’s color is more red or more pink, I can live with that compromise position. Just NOT that metallic or hot pink color in the poster above.
  18. Nah, this is the catch-all Mospeada thread. So, it’s fine. Regarding the series, to paraphrase a quote from Wreck-It Ralph, they gave Stick one of of the cruelest backstories ever. His fiancé dies right after saying yes. All his crewmates die. His Legioss gets thrashed. And after living on Mars all his life, he gets a literal thunder storm poured on top of him. Unfortunately, there’s also more Mint side plots awaiting you. I guess precocious kid was one of those tropes we just couldn’t avoid back in the 80’s. And if memory serves me right, there are a few additional nude scenes.
  19. Reddish pink or red, we could argue about the animation color until the cows come home. But I’d personally rather have the eventual Bartley ride armor be the same red shade as the Legioss than the pink color of the figure here and in the Zeta’s box art.
  20. Guess it’s time to review reference pics of Houquet in her armor and bike in bike mode. Red > Fluorescent Pink.
  21. Yup, Ambassador Delenn. Sucks to hear. RIP EDIT: I knew that some of the B5 cast members had passed away, but there were a few additional names that surprised me.
  22. I already have two blue Alphas (and matching Betas), so didn’t want to get yet another blue one. As I’ve said in the past, I like the solid red color of the Zeta, as it’s unique amongst its white trimmed (or grey/light purple trimmed in the Dark Legioss’ case) counterparts. Add in the different rifle attachment, and it’s different enough to warrant a purchase.
  23. Come to Moggy! . . . Is it too early to ask for colored prototype pics of the Bartley?
  24. First two eps were definitely a drag. I remember those old sitcoms, but they just don’t give me any sort of nostalgia feels. The dark undertones are there, but we’ll see how it all pans out. Wonder if it’ll be like some anime series, where it takes a few episodes before the story real starts to kick in.
