The one thing that keeps bugging me is that the wings look so much smaller in this rendition. Which isn’t helped either with how much thicker the chest is vertically, when compared to the SOC.

Coulda swore the flying guillotine was a lot bigger. And the blind master must’ve shaved off his bushy eyebrows.

^^Asian don’t raisin? Besides after beating a grip of gangsters in a rundown building, surviving a few insane prison fights, taking down two assassins (one wielding a baseball bat and another wielding hammers), and having a literal bloody throwdown with an insanely skilled fighter, you’d age prematurely and be considered a hardcore badass too. . . . Am I mixing my movie universes up again?

I’m getting massive Joker vibes from Hamill’s version of Skeletor. -

You know it’s a bad sign when you look at the stickers that came with the Toynami Beta, and realize that they look far superior and less gauzy than the 1/48 Yamato’s stickers.
-
They’ve held up pretty well. I kinda abused my TV Max 1A by leaving it up in the attic. But other than one shoulder joint that didn’t want to stay pivoted away from the body, the gun strap no longer being one smooth arc (due to being folded up when stored away and then dealing with temperature variations), and the blue plastic yellowing to teal (easily corrected with paint), they’ve all held up like champs. The actual Yamato stickers are kinda gauzy. But that’s always been an issue even when they were first applied. Yamato made an absolute beast with the 1/48’s, but their stickers? Not so much.

Well, Omega is a “defective” clone. Maybe that pronunciation is part of her advantageous genetic mutation. . . . Or maybe, that’s how Palpatine pronounces Oh-MEE-gah!!!111!!!!

Batman: Caped Crusader (Series) [Prime Video]
Mog replied to pengbuzz's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
My biggest concern is JJ Abrams’ involvement in all this. Guy can’t develop a good story or deep characters that can survive even a minute’s worth of analysis/review. If Timm’s truly the guy running the show, that would alleviate some of my worries.- 50 replies

Or they shift some of their story ideas to one of the other half-billion series that are set around that same time period. -
Kinda bummed that I’m just learning more about this manga now. Went down a little bit of a YouTube rabbit hole, when folks pointed out how Striga’s ass-whupping scene in Castlevania is reminiscent of Guts in the berserk armor.

There's about a billion factors that come into play, as this thread has discussed: But other than sunlight, other factors in the room can also cause the the plastic to yellow: type of lighting within the room, temperature variations, the height you display an item (the closer to the ceiling an item is, the warmer the temperature tends to be). Hell, even the O2 in the room could be a factor. Even if you're just storing it in its box, the Styrofoam could interact with the plastic somehow, and again, temperature variations could cause the plastic to yellow within the box. And if you somehow control all those issues, then there's still the issue of the actual plastic itself: it could just be prone to yellowing due to some issues with how it was originally manufactured.

Probably still Snake Eyes. Lost his biological family AND his ninja family. Thought for the longest time that his sword brother killed their master, thinking the reason was because Storm Shadow was actually trying to kill Snake instead. Became horribly disfigured and lost his voice trying to save Scarlett. Dude’s life is one bad break after another. Of course, he gets the red-headed chick, has a pet wolf, and eventually reconciles with his sword bro in the end. So. . .

Yeah, I can’t expect them to go full-on Snake was part of a Long-Range Reconnaissance Patrol team that lost of few key buddies, then lost his parents and sister to a drunk driver (while they were driving to pick him up), and that drunk driver happens to be Cobra Commander’s brother. But yeah, tragedy should be his constant friend. I mean his code name is freakin’ “Snake Eyes” for crying out loud. Let’s just see if they can properly hit all the right beats with Snake’s origin story.

I miss the old comics that came with the the first wave of figures. But I really don’t have much nostalgia feels for the old cartoon. -
Honestly, I just wanna hear Clancy Brown utter some dark, insane, foreboding monologue . . . and then change to a cheery dad-voice just one more time.

Tore through Season 4 last night. Much like Seasons 2 and 3, the season starts with a lot of quiet character moments then builds up to some crazy fights. But one difference is that early on you’ll see a few of the characters taking some cuts and wounds by the hordes of baddies. You definitely feel how the constant barrage of fights wear down two of the characters. Seeing as this was announced as the final season, they definitely went for broke with these animated fights. Those bothered by the cussing in the past few seasons will find that they upped the cuss-count exponentially for this season. The gore is still there, but the “excesses” of Season 3 (think, Alucard and his two trainees or Hector-Lenore) aren’t really present. All in all, I enjoyed the thought they put into making the characters more well-developed and am pleased how they ended the series. One last curiosity:

Not sure whether to be happy or bummed about this: https://www.polygon.com/animation-cartoons/22432125/venture-bros-movie-release-new-aqua-teen-metalocalypse Just can’t imagine them tying up all the loose ends, bringing back some of the key characters, and wrapping it all up in a movie-length feature.

Most stories make your head hurt. This one can give you a monster migraine if ya ain’t careful. The stories in The Prestige and Inception are definitely tighter. But Nolan definitely likes to mash story and filming techniques in different ways.
