    They’ll probably wind up giving her a face that looks more like Houquet, and we’ll be forced to do a head and hair swap.

    ^^ I wouldn’t go so far to call it ugly. Compared to the first prototype we saw, they gave her a much more feminine profile with the legs. There’s a ton of things to like about the design in both Houquet and the Bartley. It’s just that Sentinel dropped the ball with the color choice and the eyes.

    It’s so frustrating: I look at @tekering’s pic with all the Houquets and Zetas? Too pink. I look at @tekering’s second pic with Rey and Yellow? Borderline acceptable. Really need to see it in-person to see whether I need to repaint or leave as is. Ugh, seriously Sentinel, a lighter, faded blue would’ve been perfect for Yellow. And a no questions, no doubt cherry red would have made this Houquet so much better. #HouquetRouge!

    How did we go from this: To pink? Sentinel really needs to quit forcing that whole pink thing. It was wrong with the Zeta, and it’s still wrong. Re-imagining or not. #HouquetRouge

    Definitely gonna have to wait to have the figure in hand before we can really judge the color. Pics viewed from my laptop look too pinkish, while those SAME pics viewed on my phone look a little more red. 🤷‍♂️ The prototype pics were definitely a darker red too. If only they had gone with a lighter blue for Yellow and a darker red for Houquet. But again, let's wait and see.

    It’s not that hard to get rid of the HUD lines on the visor. I’ve done it for all three of the ones I currently have. The question though is whether to keep the visor purple or dye it blue?

    Kinda wish she was a darker red, but at least it’s not hot pink. Also, it looks like Sentinel stuck with strawberry blonde from the prototype, instead of full-on yellow blonde as in most depictions.

    Technically, Houquet is well below US$200 at the moment. Saw that Amazon Japan already charged my card.

    Just finished it. Kinda wish I hadn’t watched the animated Long Halloween movie, as it hits upon a few of the same story beats. Definitely had a nice noir feel to it, and it’s nice to see Bats struggling a little to figure things out. They finally did justice to Batman’s detective aspects in a live action film.

    There’s a lot about Wandavision that I didn’t like, and it goes beyond those first few eps. But one thing that sunk both it and Loki was leaning ONCE AGAIN on the trope of our protagonists having this over-produced, climactic fight against a mirror-image/similarly powered opponent. Add in that it seems that Wanda didn’t learn a damn thing from her experience, and Loki ended with a “Tune in Next Season to See How This Story Wraps Up . . . Or Not.” It soured me a bit.

    Apologies to our non-US board members, but has anyone looked at the recent Yen to US Dollar exchange rate? Fingers crossed, hoping everything still goes smoothly.

    The collector in me is giddy about this. The guy who just paid his income taxes and bills would probably like a little more time. 😅 Surprised we haven’t seen more in-hand pics and reviews or box art shots of this yet.

    It’s just the snake-bitten history of Mospeada toys and the mangled trail of incomplete toy lines that gets us a “little” concerned. Again, I think we’re all excited. Just being cautiously optimistic.

    We’re just hedging our bets. But if Sentinel doesn’t deliver, I’ll be stuck with this avatar for a bloody long while.

    Even before the pandemic, it took Sentinel about a year or more from when they reveal a prototype until they actually release a Mospeada item. I’m still hopeful. But I know it will probably take awhile. On the bright side, the extra wait time allows us to build up the funds for these purchases.
