  1. I’d rather see more of that prototype Bandai showed off a few years ago. . . . And would hope and pray the usual SOC crew are the ones designing it (not the one that did another recent Macross release ).
  2. Guess no one is interested in the TV-Style SDF-1? Wake me when Bandai decides to actually go forward with that. . . . . . And demonstrates that the main guns can hold together solidly.
  3. Yeah, there’s definitely some dog-poo level stuff from the Filoni animated shows, but some of the best Star Wars moments to ever grace the screen have also come from those same shows.
  4. Part of the appeal of the -17 for me is that it’s derived from the stealth fighter, which looks different enough from all the other Macross fighters. It also helps that the -17 looks like a tank of a beast in battroid mode. The -171 has appeal because its cannon fodder variant has a nice unique teal color that no other valk has. Such a nice change of pace from all the white or grey hero valks we often see. Do agree with you about the Yamato and Bandai versions having issues though.
  5. I always looked at the Yammy -17 as chunky in fighter mode, mostly because of all the design compromises. And for all the talk about design compromises and anime magic with the -21, it’s seems actually worse for the -17’s design.
  6. They got their patsy in Mae. But honestly, I don’t feel like wasting any more thought on this show. I’ll just dump it with the Obi series and Book of Boba Fett. 🤮
  7. So yeah, I don’t care for any of the surviving characters. At. All. The whole coverup makes the High Council look like stupid putzes. “No Sith in a millennium.” 🤦🏻‍♂️ Gonna be like Mae, and just mindwipe this crappy plodding plot from my head-canon. Don’t care for a second season, and won’t watch it if this somehow gets a second season. Dammit Disney, focus on the damn characters and make us actually care for them.
  8. I think we can all agree: eff cancer.
  9. Fingers crossed they can deliver a good story. I actually liked Falcon and the Winter Soldier more than some of the other Marvel D+ shows. So hopefully, they can build on that.
  10. ^^You and me both.
  11. Last few hours to back the Mos Eisley Cantina: https://hasbropulse.com/collections/haslab/products/star-wars-the-vintage-collection-mos-eisley-cantina Already comes with the bartender, the long-sought after Tonnika Sisters, and a new Greedo so far. Probably will get to the next figure unlock by the end.
  12. Most collectors were split between a soft goods skirt and a plastic molded one. It takes a lot of effort to get a soft-goods skirt to look “just right.” It wouldn’t surprise me if Hasbro decides to release a soft goods version later on, just to get another use out of the mold.
  13. . . . But she is a marked improvement over the old figure I’ve had for years now:
  14. And it’s officially funded: https://hasbropulse.com/collections/haslab/products/star-wars-the-vintage-collection-mos-eisley-cantina If you’re still on the fence, you have until July 8th to order the cantina. If past trends are any indication, they’ll probably unlock an additional tier or two before this closes. And Hasbro, that’s 4 for 4 for successful TVC HasLabs. You probably should reallocate more of your funding towards the TVC line. Just sayin’.
  15. Just gonna leave this for comparison:
  16. Kinda wish the plastic skirt was more pliable. Even with the mods I did, it’s still hard to pose out the legs. Not impossible, mind you, just limited:
  17. It doesn’t even have to be a panel-former per se. But if they changed the bellyplate ratio from 2/3 hipguard and 1/3 backpack to 3/4 hipguard and 1/4 backpack. And then had that backpack portion flip around so that its backside could become those missing ventral vents. That little change could reduce some of the backpack’s thickness and probably allow that gap between the back and backpack to be reduced a bit. And it would allow for the missing ventral VOTL vents to be shown off in Gerwalk.
  18. One comment: That Jedi named Mog is CLEARLY short for “Utter Putz Who Does NOT Deserve the Name Mog.” A freakin’ moogle shows more stones and smarts than this knucklehead.
  19. The lack of any ventral vents in gerwalk pisses me off even more.
  20. Well, in typical Bandai Macross fashion, there is some red tampo markings on the piece too.
