  1. #HouquetRouge! The Tamiya clears are still a royal pain to brush paint. But now, she’s ready to roll with the boys!
  2. Yeah, with all the customs I’ve done on 3.75” scale figures, I just have more experiences and am more comfortable brush painting by hand. The Bartley’s parts are too small for me to spray paint using a can. And I have zero experience (or tools) to airbrush. So by default, I have to go with brush painting.
  3. To remove the paint in the helmet visor, just use a few rubbing alcohol pads, a q-tip (or 2 or 3), and a crap-ton of elbow grease. Eventually, the silver paint will rub off. From what I remember, one guy used Tamiya Smoke Clear and whatever Tamiya Clear color to make the visor a little more opaque. Regarding painting the bike, there's a few spots that are just ball-and-socket joints that are relatively easy to pop off. The front/chest assembly, the forearm armors, and the hip guards are fairly easy to pop off. Makes it a little easier to paint. The red paint I'm using is P3 Skorne Red.
  4. That’s some fast work, @tekering! Ms. Emrose’s other bike is still undergoing improvements here at Moggy’s workshop:
  5. Nothing. Her bazooka actually can clip into that little indent right above that spot. But that actual grey spot doesn’t do anything. My guess? They’ll probably clip on some weapons in those various slots for those Genesis Breaker figures they’re planning for the future. . . . Which Sentinel can do AFTER the Tread, NOT BEFORE.
  6. But Nolan’s Bats knew when to utilize Bruce to further his Bat-goals, like using Wayne Enterprises to make his suit and the Tumbler or whisking away those hot ballerinas so he had an excuse to “extradited” the Asian banker for the mafia. Pattinson’s Bats hasn’t figured out how to utilize his Bruce Wayne resources just yet.
  7. What’s wrong with it? It’s pink.
  8. I can only recall four Bruce scenes from The Batman: * His first return to the Batcave/basement scene; * The brief morning after scene where him and Alfred figure out the drive code; * The funeral scene; and * The Iceberg Lounge scene. Definitely a lot less than any of the Nolan films. Which goes with how the Bruce in this film doesn’t give a damn about his Bruce persona or any of those aspects of his life.
  9. The other thing to watch out for is that the windshield and grey instrument panel may not be completely pulled out all the way for bike mode. Mine came out of the packaging looking gappy, because the windshield was partially pushed in. Everything should look flush like that first prototype pic in your post @F360.
  10. So, this is what I meant about the face looking a little more pissed, depending on the angle: Similar angle for the helmeted face: Not sure how much we can tilt the head back to get this angle though.
  11. Why do you think I’m repainting it, despite the risk of getting more chips and flakes on it than a Lays and Doritos factory full of shaggy haired teens with dandruff? It’s a damn good sculpt ruined by Sentinel’s insistence to make Houquet pink. . . . Changing gears a little, seeing the unhelmeted head in the box, I wonder if pointing the chin up will help the face look more like Houquet? The facesculpt looks a little more pissed from that extreme angle and it kinda shrinks the vertical gap between the eyes and the nose.
  12. Nah @Roy Focker, the pink is pretty noticeable: One half unpainted, the other half painted: Our phones tend to saturate the pics a bit, making the pink look a little more red than it is in real life.
  13. Regarding the bazooka, it seems to mount straight on mine. The connecting joint on the weapon rotates pretty much 90 degrees. And the chest/front assembly pieces that the bazooka mounts to can be a little finicky to angle and connect correctly. So, maybe all that’s causing the happy bazooka syndrome?
  14. WIP still, but Houquet is feeling feisty and defiant, now that she’s out of the pink. #HouquetRouge!
  15. Just got her delivered. . . . Yep, she’s pinkish red (or reddish pink). Give me a couple of days. #HouquetRouge!
  16. Anyone catch Severance on Apple TV+? The premise sounds like some corporation’s perverted twisting of the whole “work-life balance” idea. Except they purposely cut off your brain (with your consent), so that your “work” half and your “life” half don’t know anything about each other. Definitely starts off slow and then twists and disorients you. Hopefully, it doesn’t go off the rails like Lost, and this show actually sticks the landing.
  17. Rey’s holding a severed head!!!!111!!!!!
  18. Huh . I just got the notice that mine is due next Thursday (same site and shipper). Oh well, I'll decide what to do then, whether to bust out the paint.
  19. They’ll probably wind up giving her a face that looks more like Houquet, and we’ll be forced to do a head and hair swap.
  20. ^^ I wouldn’t go so far to call it ugly. Compared to the first prototype we saw, they gave her a much more feminine profile with the legs. There’s a ton of things to like about the design in both Houquet and the Bartley. It’s just that Sentinel dropped the ball with the color choice and the eyes.
  21. It’s so frustrating: I look at @tekering’s pic with all the Houquets and Zetas? Too pink. I look at @tekering’s second pic with Rey and Yellow? Borderline acceptable. Really need to see it in-person to see whether I need to repaint or leave as is. Ugh, seriously Sentinel, a lighter, faded blue would’ve been perfect for Yellow. And a no questions, no doubt cherry red would have made this Houquet so much better. #HouquetRouge!
  22. How did we go from this: To pink? Sentinel really needs to quit forcing that whole pink thing. It was wrong with the Zeta, and it’s still wrong. Re-imagining or not. #HouquetRouge
  23. Definitely gonna have to wait to have the figure in hand before we can really judge the color. Pics viewed from my laptop look too pinkish, while those SAME pics viewed on my phone look a little more red. 🤷‍♂️ The prototype pics were definitely a darker red too. If only they had gone with a lighter blue for Yellow and a darker red for Houquet. But again, let's wait and see.
  24. It’s not that hard to get rid of the HUD lines on the visor. I’ve done it for all three of the ones I currently have. The question though is whether to keep the visor purple or dye it blue?
  25. Kinda wish she was a darker red, but at least it’s not hot pink. Also, it looks like Sentinel stuck with strawberry blonde from the prototype, instead of full-on yellow blonde as in most depictions.
