  1. Phase 4 of the MCU was just too all over the map. They’re setting up the secret, morally questionable government stuff (Thunderbolts, Valentina, and Sharon Carter). Whatever the heck the Eternals was supposed to be. The Young Avengers/replacements for the “old”/retired heroes. Mutants. The Skrulls and space/Capt. Marvel stuff. And then all the multiverse stuff. And now, it’s too easy for the MCU to fall prey to spamming the multiverse concept for cool cameos and using that idea as a plot-crutch/excuse. Hopefully, having one major “bad guy” will refocus everything. But we’ll see. The best MCU entries were those that focused on the characters and gave us a good story. Unfortunately, Marvel’s success rate in hitting these two things has been pretty low for Phase 4.
  2. As a guy who has had to go through some losses of loved ones, I thought the movie was solid. I get the mixed bag of emotions that the Queen Mother and Shuri were dealing with throughout the movie. And the idea of a vibranium arms race and thinking Wakanda is vulnerable makes sense. No doubt, there’s some bits that are meh, but the film isn’t as bad as say the last Thor or Dr. Strange movies were.
  3. Umm, pretty sure you can block a red shell from hitting, if you lock a shell or banana behind you. Duh. 🤓
  4. The character is from a new manga, Genesis Breakers. It’s a side story set during the original Mospeada timeframe (I think ).
  5. It makes zero sense to me why the Retro Mando has a blue kneepad/weapon launcher. My best guess is that Hasbro is just lazy.
  6. Never got the O-ring version. YoJoe.com may have info, but I suspect those figures had the Duke/Airborne backpack. The 25th/30th version had two backpack options: a green Duke backpack and a tan Zap bazooka rounds backpack. Those later figures from the line were loaded with a crapload of weapons and accessories. Lastly, traditionally, the jetpack has been associated with Grand Slam or with Stalker. But never with the Steel Brigade figures.
  7. Yes, the Steel Brigade figure was a mail away. But I don’t recall him ever including the jetpack. Not even with the 25th Anniversary figure they released awhile back.
  8. Yes, I'm just discovering these now. Original: R&B/Acapella Version:
  9. Older gentleman looking for some hot young thang. Divorced mom looking for a sugar daddy and someone to take care of her kid. <singing> Tale as old as time!. . . 😆
  10. It’s Wilderness Explorer Kid’s Mom!! * Because I’m too lazy to look up the kid’s name.
  11. Look at the beautiful blue in that first Houquet helmet. 😍
  12. Correction: Houquet had cloth for her legs, but none for her arms. EDIT: You are correct about the prototypes not having cloth though.
  13. Regarding Apple TV+ shows, Ted Lasso and Mythic Quest are amusing, fun, and solid. On the semi-sci-fi realm, there’s Severance. Kinda trippy concept, but worth a look over.
  14. One of the earlier pics (back on page 326) had the windshield sloping back more. Don’t know how to explain it, but the windshield on the prototype just doesn’t “flow” as smoothly with the rest of the bike’s front angle.
  15. Granted I’m the guy who repainted their Houquet and minimized the HUD lines on each of the figures he got, but Sentinel’s releases were close enough to the originals for my personal tastes. I know there are differences, but Mospeada’s already such a niche market that I don’t know if they’ll design something closer to the originals. 🤷🏽‍♂️
  16. Are they making the armor and bike hot pink? 😜 #NotBitterAtAll Also, is it just me, or does the windshield feel like an afterthought? Could have swore the original design looked different. Should have just went with the windshield style on the Blowsuperior.
  17. I get why they’re doing it, but I don’t agree with it. Hopefully, we see a color prototype of the Tread as well.
  18. Metal Gear’s cardboard box for the win! https://www.yahoo.com/news/marines-fooled-darpa-robot-hiding-071107137.html
  19. I actually liked the show. Then I watched the pitch and went, “Frak.”
  20. “Look at the size of that thing!” It’s crazy how much it dwarfs the Sentinel one.
  21. For it’s time, it was alright. But those legs are brutal. A flexi/FlightPose stand can help. But don’t expect to do one legged poses or have the legs kicking out, without some support under it. Along with the issues of them being removable, those legs are practically Toynami floppy with how heavy they are. It’s nice to have the Yammy V1, and it was fun posing it with the Q-Rau (since they’re the same scale). But it will probably be the last Macross item I’d ever take down from the attic.
  22. Umm. . .What? Bib Fortuna was the current daimyo, but nothing in any of those flashbacks showed him betraying or screwing over Boba. That biker gang (that was framed for Tusken’s murders) was never once shown to be associated with Bib or Jabba’s crew. So, why kill Bib to become daimyo and then later hesitate when others outright screw you over and defy you? And that bashing in the Stormies and wrecking them completely during the Mandalorian? Yes, quite chill and reformed for the old bounty hunter. What “revenge” was he going for with the Stormtroopers and the remanent of the Empire? Again, inconsistency. You can have a Boba that still has an edge but wants to do things a little different. But the writers pivoted way too hard on this kinder, gentler version of Boba in BOBF. There were ways to show Boba changed without completely removing all the toughness and hardness that would come from his life as a bounty hunter or living with the Tuskens.
  23. Those removeable diecast legs on the Yammie V1 make them a little tricky to pose, especially because of their weight. But it can be done:
  24. The funny thing is that back in the OT times, I used to dislike Obi. Based on the knowledge we had at the time, I saw him as a guy who thought he could be as good a teacher as Yoda and someone who failed to save Anakin. And he lied to Luke! You compare his training of Luke to Yoda’s more extensive training, and I saw it as “Yeah, Yoda’s a much better teacher.” For all their flaws, the prequels did improve my view of old Obi. Add in the two cartoon series, and you see that Obi did love Anakin and tried to be a good teacher. All this additional backstory put the responsibility for Anakin’s fall back on himself (with a crap-ton of manipulation from Palps 😉).
