It looks like they’re trying to make the helmet look like Iron Man. . . with Batman’s “ears.”

Bad Batch is already showing how the Empire’s transitioning out the clones (replacing them with natural born conscripts, making clones train the new folks, and still utilizing them for enforcement). By the time of Rebels, the clones have already aged some. Even by the time of the Obi series (which I believe happens before Rebels), the clones are already aging out. For story purposes, it makes sense for the Empire to use them up and then just discard them like a used-up resource.

The Empire is probably gonna pull an Office Space Milton, wait for the Clones to age out, and just “close the loop” on the problem. The Empire’s probably just calling these isolated instances or calling those clones that act out “defective.”

A theory (backed by solid observations) of when Crosshair likely got the implant removed: https://starwarsthoughts.com/2021/08/24/the-bad-batch-creators-confirm-that-crosshair-did-have-his-inhibitor-chip-removed-and-that-we-can-figure-out-when/

So, YouTube’s algorithm showed me some orchestral renditions of Muse’s Knights of Cydonia. But none of them have the oomph, bravado, over-the-top operatic sound, and that hard-driving rhythm section of the original:

Just watched Season 2, Ep. 3. Damn, that’s more like it. Definitely one of the better episodes of Bad Batch and can stand alongside the better parts of Clone Wars and Rebels.

Is it bad that I didn’t recognize Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar) and was wondering, “Who the hell is that?” We have to keep First Contact, as they introduced the grey uniforms (looked slightly more formal than the black uniform with colored shoulders, could be dressed down to look like you could do actual work in them, and could vary the look with the vest or unzipped top).

^^Beautiful bird. I’ve always loved the unique color scheme, but all the durability issues made me leery about tracking one down.

^^Thought you’d bust this out instead:

She’s actually a 21. Dealer ain’t busting me with a 22! But I agree with @Slave IV, you need to have a chunky in your collection. Just for its history and significance. I wound up giving my chunky to my son, but I’m glad it’s still in use.

The 17 always reminded me of a tank. A burly brute (especially with the FP’s on) that’s built to throw down. It isn’t the prettiest fighter mode either, but it stands out from most of the other Macross birds out there. It just stinks that there needed to be a ton of compromises to translate the anime into toy form. . . . And speaking of dark colored fighters, more grey “panel-lining” :

I’d rather see the 17D get reissued (along with the FP armor), since I preferred that head better.

I definitely didn’t do my Max any favors (subjecting it to that temperature abuse), and it also wound up affecting gun strap too. But it’s the only 1A I still have:

Speaking of Batman movies, an obscure live version of this forgotten track (from a not-so-good movie): Warning: a little bit o’ potty language at the start.
