  1. It’s as if Optimus Prime and a VF-1S had a love child.
  2. Preorders for Revan, Pre Vizla, Grand Admiral Thrawn, and the Imp Officer 4-pack are now up: https://hasbropulse.com/search?q=Star Wars vintage The first three are also available at your usual retailers.
  3. The Raptor? You’re probably thinking of the Viper. But even the bulky Raptor had a pretty fun dogfight scene.
  4. Let’s just wait to see it in action. The Razor Crest was a burly bus, and they still got some good action sequences out of her. Even the old BSG Raptor wasn’t the sexiest of designs, but they were able to pull off a crazy action sequence with her too.
  5. I’m secretly holding out hope that Chopper and Sabine will be additional tier unlocks. I actually got a Chopper a few years back, and I’m sure I’ll probably kit-bash a Sabine from one of the figures they’ll release from the main line. I’d rather go the swappable head/helmet route than the “helmet covering the head” route they decided for Sabine. But to still be FINALLY getting Ezra, Blind Kanan (with an extra head), and Zeb AND getting them in their Rebels outfits?! Yeah, I was pleased with those tier offerings.
  6. Also in the TVC line, new Revan figure with much better articulation available for preorder tomorrow. Imperial Officer 4-Pack, I think available for preorder. Pre Vizla (not sure if the head allows you decapitate him) 🤪 And Dooku is in the pipeline.
  7. You see a Ghost? Yeah, I’m seeing a Ghost! https://hasbropulse.com/collections/haslab/products/star-wars-the-vintage-collection-the-ghost
  8. Thrust from the feet AND arms. Considering the way Stick launches missiles and RPG's like they're going out of style, relying on thrust over aerodynamics kinda fits Mospeada's "screw being subtle" aesthetic.
  9. Sentinel’s rendition looks pretty airworthy:
  10. My biggest gripe with the Alpha is the fighter mode proportions are too stubby and wonky.
  11. Honestly, without knowing what accessories come with the kitties, I’d still rather see Bandai make some pipe dreams like the Fleet of Doom combiner or the Sincline combiner from LD.
  12. That big empty space. It’s like there’s a ghost in there! 👻
  13. It’s been exactly two years since my dad passed. And during those low moments, this song still hits the feels. . . Probably the best live version of the song, with Bono’s voice mostly on point:
  14. Such a smooth, damn good song:
  15. Dumb pet theory: But I’m guessing they have good FILM writers but not good television/long-series writers. Why they haven’t bothered to tap Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen to write any of these series is beyond me (other than some dumb lingering MCU-Marvel Television snobbery).
  16. It makes me nervous when they nerfed Fisk in Hawkeye, use quick cuts for DD’s fight scenes in She-Hulk. And no word of Foggy Nelson or Karen Page’s actors joining the cast (even though the new show has something like 20 eps.) fills me with apprehension. If Disney was smart, they would just continue the story they laid out in the Netflix show. Seriously, an upgraded Bullseye could make for a good starting point.
  17. I’m curious how everyone’s opinions/rankings would change if we put the Netflix Marvel shows and the ABC Marvel ones into the mix. Because I would instantly put Daredevil, Agents of SHIELD, and Punisher Season 1 far above the other Disney Marvel shows. For me, Jessica Jones Season 1, Luke Cage Season 2, and Iron Fist Season 2 would probably rank equal to the best that Disney Marvel has churned out. The Disney shows have some interesting and/or fun bits, but many of the series have left me disappointed or were just okay.
  18. And therein lies the problem: the sequel trilogy wasn’t really mapped out. With Ahsoka, the roadmap is kinda sorta there. Rebel’s finale and last episodes showed where the story can go. Thrawn is coming back after being “forced” (heh) into exile. Hera’s been with the Rebellion almost since the beginning, and she’s probably gained a streak a independence after everything that went down in Rebels. Sabine feels obligated to find Ezra. The beats are there for them to develop and follow through on.
  19. Welp, they opened up the Pandora’s box with streaming. Yes, the pandemic forced them to utilizing their streaming platforms to release their films. So now, it’s hard for them to try to change folks behaviors and essentially tell them, “Hey! Come out to theaters to watch this!” For my family of five, that ain’t a cheap proposition anymore. For most films, I’d rather wait it out and watch from the comfort of home. But again, quality has always been the big issue. For Marvel, the other big factor is burnout and fatigue.
  20. As long as Ahsoka is true to the characters and shows growth from who they were previously, I’m good. It’s Filoni’s pet cat characters, so his track record has shown more good than dog-crap.
  21. What Disney found out is that writers and actors want a piece of the streaming pie, but the studios want to keep the old, outdated model in place and hide their numbers. Or just call it by its real name: greed.
  22. Three honking engines and a massive payload to blast you to the Stone Age. The Tread IS the Legioss’ armor and weapons upgrade.
  23. The reason they’re struggling is because the stories they’re showing on film or on the streaming are half-baked. There are some good ideas buried in there somewhere, but they get mired in dumb and/or repetitive plot contrivances. Case in point, Secret Invasion needs to stop spamming the “Who did they kill to end the ep on a cliffhanger?” trope. GOTG3 did well, because it didn’t go with the expected cliches, knows who their characters are at this point, and knows when to be silly and when to hit you with the emotional wallop.
  24. In fairness, I could have swore this was for that “High Republic” book series, and NOT for the whole TV/film franchise.
