Yeah, as an old Rebels fan, these first two eps put a smile on my face! I'll have more thoughts later.

Making them NOT hot pink would be a nice start. Did you add some headlights on the Bartley, @tekering?

Yeah, but why are you using her Season 1/2 pics? š Sheās grown up a bit since then. EDIT: In any case, looks like Ezraās been unlocked for the Ghost.

It aināt the head; itās the frigginā helmet.

Well if you want a VF-1, thereās always options out there. But the rarer birds (like the -21 or the VF-17D) just donāt have that sort of coverage or options. Itād be a big risk, but I wouldnāt mind another company taking a shot at the -21, just to show Bandai up.

Slight mess-up š¬ but still works with it and winds up finishing the song nicely:

So, will he do a jumping uppercut-like kick that sets his opponent on fire? Or a set of three to five punches in rapid succession that allow him to close the distance on his opponent?

Umm. . . language! š¬

I liked this better when they called it the GBP-1S Woodland Camo.

Fair enough. Looks like itās there for the battroid prototype but missing for whatever reason on the fighter mode prototype they had way back when.

I do like the availability and convenience factor. Donāt feel like going back to setting my DVR. But the quality of +ās new stuff is meh once you average it all out. If it wasnāt for Ahsoka, my daughter watching Bluey roughly a billion times, the old library of good Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars content, and sharing other streaming services with family, Iād probably tell Disney to sod off with the price hike. -
^^Hard to tell. In the one pic we saw of the fighter underbelly, thereās a slot to connect the stand. But those slots seem to be in the wrong spot to connect the gunpods:

Hype video for the figures that will (or can, if fully backed) come with the Ghost: Already above 10,000 backers at this point.

Bandaiās the guy in the suit. The statuesque blonde in pink is us as collectors: āDonāt you dare settle for fine!ā

Yamatoās 1/60 version did fairly well representing all three modes. Thereās the HMR (?) prototype thatās been shown here a few times. Point being that if Bandai wanted to make a better looking battroid, then why did they make the choices they made? It wouldnāt be too hard to slightly lengthen the hipguards and make them more in line with the lineart shape. None of us are denying that compromises have to be made. But what mode is being given preference? Battroid? But why the short hipguards and the very thick chest? Fighter mode? But we see how they had to thicken up the back of the plane to fit the wider legs. Gerwalk? Then why have they never displayed it in that mode? And itās not hatred but frustration that they havenāt made any fixes over all these years. It could be so much better, but Bandai feels they can just move forward without tweaking or fixing up the design.

@Alex actually pulled off some nice customs of Yellow and Houquet using the Beagle, almost a decade ago :

Theyāve had almost four years to fix or improve this design but havenāt done squat. Weāve pointed out all these issues way back when this prototype first came out. And yet, no changes. They could look at what Yamato did and crib notes on what succeeded and what they could improve upon. Iāve sang Bandaiās praises before when theyāve pulled off ridiculously awesome renditions, such as Lion Voltron/Go-Lion and Vehicle Voltron/Dairugger XV. Iām excited to see what improvements and surprises they have for their TV version of the SDF-1 that they revealed awhile back. But thereās no way Iād ever back this. And the YF-21 is probably my favorite Valk in all of Macross. Yet not once have we ever seen this in Gerwalk. Those bellyplates/hipguards are a design choice that cause more problems than it solves. The size between the chest and back is way too thick. There are compromises in the two modes weāve already seen that weāve discussed ad nauseam here. But sure, letās drop a boatload money on a subpar figure that Bandai isnāt willing to fix or improve.

Yeah, I get it. But being forced to ALWAYS get Stick and Rey to start can be a barrier for someone on the fence about getting another set of Ride Armors. Regarding Sentinel, I figure they were itching to get to their Breakersā designs instead of risking it with Shinobu.

So, is there a rule that Stick and Rey always have to be made first for the Ride Armors? And that the Eta Legioss (the blue one) has to be made first? Iām mean I get āwhyā (heroes/main characters), but weāre already dealing with a niche market. Going first with Yellow or Houquet would be one way for a toy company to stand out from the crowd.

Nope. Not based on that garbage prototype. Iāll stick with my Yammy, skinny legs and all.
-
. . . Or you make compromises for one mode at the minor expense of another. But you donāt go Bandaiās way with the -21 and make design choices that compromise ALL THREE MODES.

Got it. Thanks for the clarification. I get that thereās some things about the Sentinel redesigns that donāt mesh with the original designs. But the HUD lines on the visors are relatively easy to paint over and hide for a more OG look. The mudguard can be popped off if one is so inclined. The different headlights on the Mospeada bikes are not that big of an issue. And yes, thereās some additional armor on the redesignās torsos and upper arms. But they are pretty damn close to looking like the original designs. . . . Except for that hot pink on Houquet and the Bartley. Should have went with red for our girl.

Couldāve swore we saw pics of the Houquet Beagle mold a few years after everything went down. Gotta figure someone would still have it.
