  1. I always love the sheer audacity of this: Link. 'TIS BUT A FLESH WOUND!! Seriously though? Just look at the siggy or the avatar.
  2. Semi-serious here: what if Mac was the one to break it off with the girl? You know, they could do the whole girl gets in danger because Duncan's an Immortal. Mac does the 'tortured hero' bit and tells her he's leaving her to protect her, doesn't want another loved one's death on his hands, reminded of Tessa's death, blah, blah, blah. They could even switch it around and make Ducan be the one to break it off with her, because HE wants her to be fully happy and have children (which he can't provide). Would that have made the story marginally better? It's probably like adding a cherry to a feces sundae. But least, it would have given us a full-on flashback scene (something that was sadly missing from this installment).
  3. I do like the color-scheme for both of 'em. But with the M&M's coming in; the YF-21 early next year (and a possible, additional custom YF-21 I'll commission or make myself); the eventual (hopefully ) Beta/Tread's; the upcoming 25th Anniversary G.I. Joes; and a few more Star Wars figures, I'm starting to run out of display space. So, I'll have to pass on these.
  4. Here's a hypothetical question on the eventual color variation releases: will all the pilots be molded in Guld's knuckles-and-thumbs-connected pose? Personnaly, I'd rather have these non-canon pilots look like they're flying the 21 manually.
  5. Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I had to drop in my own 2 cents. Now that's just offensive..............to steaming piles of crap everywhere. Understand, I'm a fan of the TV series and liked the first movie. But this thing was beyond gawd-awful. Sure, I had read spoilers for the...ahem...."plot." But I can't believe how bad this truly was. The sped-up, fast-forward fight scenes were annoying. The Guardian was a joke. The music was derivative (just get the rights to the original Queen stuff). They . And the Methos of this film was too bitter and pissy (and lacked all of the charm and dry smugness that Methos had in the TV series). I could go on a longer rant. But suffice to say, this is another massive monument of suck laid by the Highlander franchise. At least the anime they made awhile back was surprisingly better.
  6. Very nice work! I especially like that 4th picture (the dead-level, head-on pic of the Legioss-Tread). I rarely get to see pics of the combo from that angle.

Technically, Graham only stated that our batch of guesses (which included a TV version of the SDF-1) were wrong. I know I'm splitting hairs here, but there's still an outside chance that Yamato will make a DYRL version of the SDF-1. I'm probably wrong (of course ), but it's still a "possibility" (a billion-to-one possibility, mind you. But a possibility nonetheless). I'm still curious if my last guess (back on page 19) has some merit to it ..........Graham, can you confirm or deny if your last hint sig' was for a Macross-related product?
  8. Let's be honest here: Based on their track record, Toynami would probably release the toys six months AFTER the movie has been released. Back on topic, would it be a good thing or a bad thing to expose ol' Tobey to the original Macross TV series (or the original Mospeada series, assuming they go that route)?

Add me to that list of VF-2ss fans too. Especially after seeing this: Link. Granted, its fighter mode isn't as sleek as the VF-4's. But battroid and gerwalk modes look solid.
  10. Just when I thought we were never gonna see anymore eps of this. Schweet.
  11. You the man, Shin. Thanks as always for the pic links. Glad to see they re-did the paint apps on Stalker's face. He now looks like the Stalker I remember. Still not completely sold on the colors Hasbro's using for the camo, but it may grow on me. Maybe it's because the pic is slightly blurry, but the figure ALMOST looks like Lady Jaye. It'd help if Hasbro could "puff out" her hair a little more and sculpt her hair out a little closer to the cap. Still, I'm glad to see someone posing the gun holster a bit more properly.
  12. Unless she's a Cylon? (This is mere speculation on my part; I've been staying the hell away from spoilers for Razor or Season 4). As for the covers, add another vote for C.
  13. Eh, we'll just distract him with a giant pit of teeth or with a "dirty little smuggler" (wantin' a little piece o' Boba? ). Besides, he's too tied up with legal suits from all the clones trying to stake claim to the estate of Jango Fett. And hey, I never said anything too offensive about the Empire; I'll gladly sell out those Bothan spies to the Imperials. (Just don't ask the Bothans who they got the DEATH Star plans from. )
  14. <sigh> I love the sight of sweet, sweet tampo printing on a factory-fresh bird (even on the boosters too!). Thanks for all the pics, Swoosh and Graham!

I know, G-man. That's why I added the rolling eyes and the silly smiley. I just wanted to see if anyone was crazy enough to try to interpret it into another clue.
  16. eriku's on the right track. Bounty Hunting for me too. You get the guns, the weapons, the money, the ship, the money, the rep, and the money without all the superfluous baggage the Empire or Rebels have. As long as you stay away from picking fights with Jedi or blind "reformed" smugglers, you should enjoy a very successful and prosperous life. The entrepreneurial spirit! Living your life without anyone's interference! Reaping ALL the rewards of your own hard work. That's the American Dream, baby! That's BOUNTY HUNTING!!!!!!!!!! Paid for by the Galactic Guild of Bounty Hunters, the Longshoremen's Association of Coruscant, the Ewok and Wookiee Fur-Traders of the Core Worlds, and the Galactic Board of Taxation and Certified Public Accountants ("Hey Palpatine, you still owe us 20 BILLION credits for that first damn DEATH Star!!").

Okay, I'll be semi-serious for once on this thread. How about a full weapon set for the YF-19? Missiles and launchers galore ("saturation"). And a new fangled gunpod with a flip-out bayonet (the "penetration" part). A longshot, I know. .......Unless, we're looking at this the wrong way?! What if it's not a Macross-related release at all?!! Perhaps, the Yammie folks are trying to "penetrate" into a franchise/product that's already "saturated" with competitors/rivals? Anyways, so, what's everyone's interpretation on the latest Graham siggy : "My 3.3 year old son is really into watching my VCDs of Combattler V and Great Mazinger at the moment and has taken over my SOC Combattler V toy." EDIT: Sumdumgai, we should clarify that our SDF-1 guesses were for the TV VERSION. The DYRL version is still out in play.

TENTACLES!! Don't forget the pulsating tentacles too!!!!! ........Maybe that's what the "saturation penetration" is all about.
  19. This isn't exactly a new pose from me. But I just really dig the way the light from my stairway shines down on the 19. Consider this "Strike a Lighting Effect" : It's just a little something that puts a smile on my face before I head up to sleep.
  20. Considering how interrelated both Snake Eye's and Cobra Commander's early orgins are, I wouldn't mind them using Snake Eyes as the character the audience naturally gravitates toward. For the first film, you really don't need to go into Snake's ninja past. Between his family's story, his pre-Joe military career, and his first few Joe missions (especially when he gets disfigured), there's enough "meat" and backstory to make Snake Eyes a compelling character. I'm not saying make the entire movie be about him. But there are enough reasons to make Snake one of the main characters in the film.
  21. Too bad they couldn't modify the release to make it the ultimate, signature version of the TV Skull-One instead. Imagine both TV Hik' and Roy pilots, the fat TV hands, and all the other minute details that separate the TV VF-1S from the DYRL version. That'd be a nice way to freshen up the old bird.
  22. Thanks for the link, Shin! I'm really digging the Zartan. Maybe it's the obvious snarl on his face, but he looks a bit better than the version we saw from SDCC. As for Stalker, where do I begin?!! baronv is right: what in the blue hell is Stalker doing with blue eyes?! The prototype looked so awesome, and yet, this painted version gets almost everything wrong. Along with the eyes, I personally think his camo should be more dark green and less yellow (Maybe Hasbro should reverse the color pattern Stalker currently has.). All this is especially frustrating since Stalker was one of the first Joes I ever got. Two other thoughts I haven't mentioned in earlier posts: 1) Why is it that every shot I've seen of Lady Jaye shows her gun holster riding up her waist/torso? I really hope it's just a matter of Hasbro folks not knowing how to pose the holster right (and not a design issue). 2) The Cobra Trooper's sigal(sp?) should be red instead of the white they used. So what if they already released the red one with the 5-pack; the red ones are a no-brainer, troop-builder! Other than Firefly, Zartan, and MAYBE Beachhead, I'm just not as psyched up for these next two waves anymore.

Okay, I'll throw out my wild idea....... Saturation Penetration = Daedalus Attack? "Penetrate" a Zent' hull and "saturate" it with Destroid weapons of death? So, would that mean a larger scale, TV-version of the SDF-1?!
  24. Anyone else think the new 25th Anniversary color schemes kinda look like this "Scorpion" color scheme from way back when? Link. (That's not necessarily a bad thing, especially since I do like the Scorpion scheme.)
  25. Larry Hama is more well known for pretty much being the main writer for the old Marvel GI Joe comic book series. Generally speaking, a lot of us big-time GI Joe fans may have been exposed first to GI Joe by way of the toys and the cartoon. But the comic book series is something that has definitely contributed greatly to the longevity and our fondness for the whole GI Joe franchise. If I saw the words "Written by Larry Hama" in this potential movie's credits, I'd be a lot less worried. (Of course, if the director is some hack or studio lackey, I'd still be very worried.)
