Toy Story 2 and 3 would like a word with you. 😉 Personally, I enjoyed Wreck-It-Ralph more than the sequel. But the Princess bits and the Slaughter Race solo were pretty amusing.

I love the color of the CF version. But stories like these make me hesitant to seek one out.

Is this where Maui pushes for himself to be the Tribal Chief despite Cody, I mean, Moana doing most of the hard work to return the heart and lead her people to a new island? 😜 (Sorry, a bunch of pro wrestling references there.)
-
You mean the -22 doesn’t use fold technology to store its gunpods internally when not in use?!!11!!!? 🤪

Hasbro’s The Vintage Collection (TVC) line. For all intents and purposes, it’s the 3.75 inch scale line with better articulation for the figures. Basically, they’re releasing the E-Wing version that showed up in the Ahsoka series.
-
Looks like they’re making the E-Wing for the TVC line (along with the droid that’s an homage to the Kenner R2-D2 figure): https://hasbropulse.com/products/star-wars-the-vintage-collection-new-republic-e-wing-ke4-n4 US$100 price though, and female pilot figure is in Hasbro’s production pipeline.

Pac-Man Ghosts? Boo’s from Super Mario series? Ghosts from Zero and Frontier? Starscream’s ghost?

If someone were to improve upon the 1/60 Yammy, they could easily update the elbow articulation without much fuss. They would need to figure out a way to make the joints for the hips and the hip-guards stronger. In order to keep the skinny fighter profile, someone would have to figure out a way to have the legs expand width-wise for Gerwalk/battroid and collapse for fighter mode. Might have to do some panel-folding to allow the legs to be "thickened." Also possibly hollow out the bellyplates and underside of the backpack a bit to make a little extra room too. The tabs on the bellyplates can also be a bit of pain to lock into place for fighter mode. But the guns can be held on the bellyplates without swapping the actual guns out, and there's a minor cheat to keep the guns held on the FP's. Lastly a spring and strut could be added to keep the rear landing gears from collapsing when rolling the fighter backwards (at least the landing gear were already painted white before ). So, there are fixes and improvements that can be made. But for a 15+ old design, the 1/60 Yammy still holds up well in all three modes.

Actually, he directed one ep in Season 2 and another in Season 3. This little bit is from the season finale of Season 1.

Officially, it’s called “Hikaru Getting Misa the Hell Outta Alaska Base” mode.
-
I always thought we all agreed that that particular mode is referred to as "Half-Gerwalk."

I’d like to remember his amusing bits, like this one:

Poor dude’s characters were always losing appendages (Dillon, Chubbs, AND Combat Carl).

WAY BACK when Yamato first showed the prototype for their 1/60 YF-21, there were some complaints about how skinny the legs were. One of the old posters here (Eugimon) suggested that add-on parts be placed on the legs to make them look thicker for battroid mode. Someone else dubbed the idea Omega Pants (for obvious reasons), the name evolved to become “Eugimon’s Omega Pants,” and a running joke/meme was added to our message board that day.
-
Dammit. Rest easy Action Jackson, Dillon, dude from Street Justice, Chubbs, and Greef Karga. EDIT: And he was Combat Carl in those Toy Story specials?!

So basically, Eugimon’s Omega Pants(TM)?

* A non-thicc side profile in battroid; * Hipguards that actually the match the length of the FP’s. * A Gerwalk mode that actually has the ventral vents on the underside. * An actual rotating cockpit gimmick that doesn’t require parts-forming. * A sleek, skinny fighter mode. . . . Yeah, I’m sticking with the 1/60 Yamato.

Pretty certain I got a Matchbox version. And it does have those slot-holes in the legs. There’s just no spring or firing mechanism, but the holes are still there.
-
I sometimes fancy the -21/-22 as a gunslinger rocking a duster coat. I know everyone complains about the skinny legs. But I’ll take the Yamato’s skinny fighter mode profile, its Gerwalk mode that actually shows the ventral vents, its hip guards (that actually match up with the length of the FP armors), and its non-thicc side profile in battroid mode all day (and twice on Sundays).

Finally finished The Brothers Sun this weekend. It’s silly fun with some good action. Kinda smelled a key plot twist from a mile away. But yeah, it was still pretty enjoyable. And if you cause a man to burn his pastries, your ass is gonna catch a beatdown.

I understand the sentiment. BUT they did launch this bonkers Vipers scene into our collective memories: So, I can forgive them the omission.- 698 replies

I love the original Vipers and their 3 button control stick. But damn was it fun how the updated Vipers could flip on a dime in space. Made the dogfights a little more interesting.- 698 replies

I take it you haven’t seen much of Sam Esmail’s work? I could see him ramping up the whole “Cylons hiding among us” paranoia. . . while filming a scene completely off-center. I personally enjoyed a lot of his stuff. And while I still hold the Moore/Eick BSG in extremely high regard, I’d be curious to see what Esmail does with the concept.- 698 replies
