^^I believe those round base ones are an earlier, "pre-Los" version. As Do Not Disturb once said, these round base flexidisplays are for those of us who are too OCD about getting the square edges perfectly lined up.

In defense of the flexi's, I've had a bunch of Valks on them, and they've really never slid off. Of course when you're positioning the prongs and trying to set the Valk up in that perfect pose, there's gonna be some potential slipping, sliding, and tipping over. But once you settle on a pose, the flexis are pretty damn stable. It's really a matter of how you pose and position them. I've had the Q-Rau and the DYRL Max in the above poses forever. And even after an earthquake, those poses have held. I've also got a TIE Interceptor chilling on another Flexi, on top of an almost 6-foot tall bookshelf. Granted, the TIE has one small part of it resting on the actual bookshelf (So it's being held in position on four resting points). But it has never fallen off or twisted out of position. . . even after an earthquake. So yeah, the flexi's can hold their own. Don't forget too, that the flexi's are distributing the weight of your Valk or mecha onto three (usually) spread-out spots. Most other stands, you're relying on one key connection area to hold the bird up.

I remember there being a bunch of lineart on the Mospeada DVD's. The character sheets might also be on those. I'm gonna be out or busy the next few weeks, but I'll try to check out the DVD's again and snap some shots (assuming the character sheets are there) when I get some more free time.

I'll be the first to point out all the very annoying flaws on the Alpha, no doubt. I'd kill for some ratchet joints and some ball-jointed hips on the Alphas. But c'mon, when you combine these two birds together, they make one sexy bitch!

I know I shouldn't be an ass about the "improvements" to the CMs. BUT... Why didn't they improve the Legioss by making its head be able to turn left and right? And for the fighter combo, they can say they that they reduced the gap between the two parts, but there's still two other glaring flaws remaining in their improved combo: Again, I'll give them the gatling gun. But I'm happy with what I got with my Toynami (engineered by Aoshima) Betas.

Battlestar Galactica Discussion III

So if ol' Tyrol crash-landed on a peninsula in the northeast portion of Asia (and found a whole cavalcade of Eights there), would he consider it a blessing or a curse? Regarding the alternate endings, I understand the whole "Hell hath no fury..." stuff. But I would have found it rather hypocritical of Ellen to get all bitchy about Tigh impregnating a Six. I mean how many people in the Fleet did Ellen have relations with? And even though Tigh knew he was a Cylon, he sure as hell didn't realize that Ellen was still alive. As for the crash landing bit, that would have been a little too hokey. What would they have done about the rest of the fugitive fleet? They still had Raptors, and we have seen them jump inside the atmosphere before. So, the idea that they would have been "forced" to settle on our Earth would have been unfounded. And what if there were still bad-guy Cylons around? It'd be kinda obvious where the humans winded up when you have a big-ass Battlestar chilling on the surface. -

Was it ever confirmed that Seelix and Anders got it on? I always got the impression that there was some sexual tension between the two (at least on Seelix's part) but that nothing was ever really consumated. I wonder what the over/under was on Baltar frakking a native down on Earth. -
They're a lot lower on the production learning curve now, so they're incurring less costs, which means they can charge less for the combo. And yes, this is just a wild guess on my part.

Down here in So Cal, we call the Apocalypse by another name: "light percipitation."

The real question is: which ones? ************************************* Woe are us!! First, the Economy hurls its wrath upon us, then BSG leaveth our Friday nights empty and hollow, and NOW THIS!! Loud are the wails and lamentations of the Macrossites. The Hory Froating Head hath turned his head away from the people. . . for one of their leaders hath gone astray. The people's sacrifices of Tab B's, broken shoulders, and MPC's are but a meager recompense to His disembodied Head. The Head sees TRUTH. His eyes have seen a leader-mod fall willingly into the valley of darkness. This leader doth comport with the enemy. He hath suckled on the forbidden fruits of Ariel and Janice. He hath defiled the sacred elixir of Yoshinol, whoring it out for a wretched bag of Gold that Only Brings Dischord. Repent, I say, REPENT, Roy Focker!! . . .Or face the wrath of Decalture, like your sempai before you!!!

They still need to improve on that fighter combo. Though, I wouldn't mind jacking that gatling gun.

Not sure if this poster's synopsis is completely accurate, but here's the link: http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=86852. Duke, can you confirm if this summary is correct? Personally, I don't like the idea of EVIL Ellen. I thought the more motherly and serene aspects we saw onscreen after her download made her much more interesting. Plus, without her on the good side, we would have never got those great scenes between her and Cavil arguing on the baseship. As frakked up and as ruthless as Cavil was, those scenes helped to flesh out why Cavil hated being a skinjob so much (puns intended ). -
^^Daddy. DADDY!! I'm gonna fly dis cool paper airplane outside on da' street! Daddy: ..............

Plus, it plays on the whole faceless, unknown enemy bit. And from a filming standpoint it would make for some interesting, "artsy" scenes, especially if the faceplate is reflective. You could do scenes where CC is talking or pursuading someone to join his cause and that someone sees their distorted image/reflection in CC's faceplate. It's ARTSY and full of SUBTEXT!!! Seriously though, my only hope at this point is that the powers that be are delaying the release of Resolute until after the film for marketing and/or "hedging their bets" purposes.

I'd expect nothing less from a student of the Roy.

Yeah, we've mentioned the BSG-Macross parallels a couple of times here and there. But unless Anders or Kara were singing All Along the Watchtower during the final assault, you can only take the comparisons so far. -
I'd love it even more if they were killing cats!!
-
^^Correct scale, but it's the old Version 1. They may not have been perfect transformation, but you can still get some good poses out of the old 1/60 Version 1's.

Anyone doing custom sticker/decals set for MF monster?
Mog replied to Rhapsodyred99's topic in The Workshop!
Don't forget that you'd need some sort of decal paper with white backing or a printer that prints white ink. -

Flexidisplays. Was there ever any doubt?
