Battlestar Galactica Discussion III

Thanks for playing, Natalie. You had a sophisticated sexiness that will be sadly missed. (But making the Centurions "smart" is probably gonna come back to bite your buddies in the ass.) Kinda expected what happened to Felix, but yeah, the sucker's just went off the deep end now. Anyone else catch the empty Viper at the end of the sneak preview? Wonder if I'm reading too much into it? Two FRAKIN' weeks. Get me some ambrosia or knuckle-dragger hooch. -
You wound me.

I'm guessing this has already been asked earlier, but can we please have this bad boy posted up on the MW main page?

^^In other words, patience has its rewards, as it relates to this thread, to the economy, and to life in general. -
Cool! But no Flash (in most of those re-releases) makes Mog a pissed-off moogle.

HELL YES! (Just not for the company itself or its crappy marketing strategies ) (Nuclear winter/Volcanic ash weathering effect optional ) Itano Circus, Mospeada Style: (Probably seen this before, but it's worth a repost) [in a "baby-talk" voice]: "Aww, does the widdle Inbit wanna bullet to da' head? Yes?! No? Oh, YES IT DOES!!"

Gah, what's the point of having removeable knives on Snake Eyes V3 if ya' don't have him using them? Not too shabby of a figure. But you can definitely tell he's decked out half ninja, half commando with his arms and torso giving off a definite ninja vibe and his legs and waist still looking like commando gear. I still think of V2 as Snake's iconic look (with V1 being his original and most pure commando look). But this one is alright........especially because of those REMOVEABLE knives! Now can someone tell Hasbro to start re-releasing some of those previous waves?

I really should follow this show more closely. Anyone that can bust a riff on Contact, while playing the background music from Signs, all while Dr. Venture is repeatedly screaming, "PRICK!!!!!!" should be something on my "must watch" list.

Wow. Just WOW!! Absolutely loved the intense teaser before the beginning credits. Gotta give credit to both the BSG production crew and the actress playing Emily: I didn't realize it was Nana Visitor (Major Kira from DS9) until about half-way through the episode. Great work and massive kudos for making me focus more on the character, rather the actor playing the character. My personal pet theory about these prophecies about the Harbinger of Death: -

"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villian." Nice.

Just to chime in, the Anasazi stickers are pretty impressive too. The Yamato stickers have this hazy sheen to them that makes it pretty obvious that they're stickers. While the Anasazi stickers blend in fairly well with the rest of the bird and almost look like tampo printing. Granted, the stickers don't have the same painted-on effect that the decals can have. But the stickers ain't too bad of an alternative either. As far as available alternatives now, there's MW member takatoys' stickers, which are also far better than the ones offerred by Yamato. Additionally, I think winterdyne was also considering starting up his own decal/sticker business, but I'm not sure if he ever decided to go forward with the idea.

Hrmf, really wish they would have released the Skystriker first instead of the X-30. All the Conquest got going for it is those swept-forward wings. Heck, I'd even take the Phantom X-19 over the Conquest. Granted the design of the X-19's wings is impractical as hell, but she's got some wicked curves and can fit two figures in her.

Yeah, I found Wave 7 yesterday night too. I apparently went to one of my local Walmart's just as they were setting out boxes for a restock. Had a good handful of Wave 7 boxes too! Wound up just picking up a single Wild Bill and a single Viper. It looks like they're packing the Vipers two to a pack (the new Snake Eyes also comes two to a pack), so hopefully, some of the kinder souls out there won't go crazy and will leave the remaining Viper for others to pick up (a longshot, I know ). Wild Bill's definitely cool. But for those of you hoping to do some double-barreled/"guns aimed in the same direction" poses with ol' Bill, you'll be somewhat limited due to the bulk of his vest. The Vipers have a fairly unique sculpt and design set-up. Posed without his rifle, his hands look a little odd and weirdly positioned (They look great if you're posing the Viper in a Thai boxer stance, but odd if you're making him stand at attention.). But holding the rifle, the hands work just fine. The goggles are also a little too fidgety for my tastes. They can't be pushed down on the Vipers "eyes" (ala Snow Job), and they have a tendancy to pop off when you're posing the head. ......Now if I could just find fraking Wave 5 and 6!! Need me some Flash, Torpedo, and IG Destro!

New pics of another upcoming HISS tank and the VAMP!!: Linky. Looks like Clutch got stuck with the Duke arms. @sidearmsalpha, Metal_Massacre_79 mentioned earlier that some idiots are stealing the "Rescue Doc" stickers from the comic packs. They jack the stickers and then reseal the packages with tape.

Things are getting messy. If there was one unifying theme throughout this whole episode, it would be that singular idea. From the Hidden Four starting to crack under the pressure, to Roslin's "Screw it all; I'm dying" attitude, and Lee's "Uh-oh..." moment at the sermon, things ain't lookin' pretty. A few other comments: * Agree with you completely, kaiotheforsaken. After watching the ep, I almost wanted to rewatch the whole entire thing right there. Definitely gotta digest it again, as you say. * Glad that Tyrol remembered about the Admiral threatening to space Cally. Having characters remember little details like that really makes me love this show even more. * Ya think myk was saying "FRAK YOU, RON MOORE!!!!!!!" when Racetrack's Raptor was landing? * Was it just me or were the producers/director emphasizing some of Caprica Six's umm..."assets" more prominently this episode. * Guess we gotta space that idea about Head Six being gone forever now, huh? * It was a trip to hear Tyrol's comments at the bar about another certain screwed-up toaster. Even by BSG's standards, those two have constantly gotten the frakked-up end of stick. I'm guessing those two will wind up being two of the more tragic characters when all is said and done. Lastly, regarding the Last Supper pic, I saw an article awhile back where someone did a similar superimposing of the images. But they did it by superimposing the images of the characters from opposite sides of the table (Roslin and the Admiral; Natalie and Helo/Athena; Tigh and Tyrol, etc.). If I remember correctly, it all gets a little mucked up in the middle section. But it was an interesting read nonetheless.
