  1. Alright then, in order of preference . . . 1) 1/2000 TV-STYLE SDF-1 2) Regults with articulated Zent' inside (though I have a feeling they'll be 1/60 scale rather than 1/48 ) 3) VF-171 EX (Frontier style with M7's dark color scheme) At this point in my mecha collecting days, these would be the only things that would pique my interest and make me consider breaking out the proverbial wallet.
  2. And some leg art too! (Snowball's chance in hell. But it'd be cool if Yamato added it to the sticker sheet.)
  3. So, they finally revealed pics of the much ballyhooed DSII (Death Star II) Luke, and I have to say: Lord Moggy is not impressed. Image Link 1 Image Link 2 The facial expression just really looks off. While, the rest of the body just looks like a marginal improvement over the TAC Jedi Luke released a few years back. The Funeral Pyre Luke (from here) actually looks a lot more promising. However, I'm just not feeling the placement of the ball-jointed torso on either of them; it just breaks up the look of the torso too much for my tastes. I would have preferred something lower like the joint they have on most Cobra Commanders. Lastly, looks like I gotta wait until Summer 2010 for any KOTOR figures.
  4. I've always preferred "Limit Break Mode" myself. An all-out, desperation attack, usually performed when you're near death or badly damaged - I think it works. Nice work, Ignacio Ocamica. We just need a "taken from the front, slightly above the plane" shot.
  5. Are we talking just about stuff we know will be coming out in the upcoming months? Or are we also including stuff we'd go crazy-go-nuts for once it's officially announced?
  6. Damn, sucks about Beagle not finishing off the line. They had to have figured Rey would be the lowest seller. (And I do understand why they released it right after Stick's.) But at least put out Houquet and see how her sales go. If her sales aren't up to snuff, then they could have cancelled the line at that point. Like eriku, I too just never bought a Beagle. Not for lack of quality mind you; I just didn't have the space to display these. Hopefully, Toynami buys the Houquet CAD prototype from Beagle. It'd be a shame to see it go to waste. The other question now is who here on the MW boards is gonna change their avatar to the Fuke prototype and keep it until we see a 1/10 Fuke finally released? It's "worked" in the past! (I know... )
  7. Not to be mean, but. . . http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...p;hl=inglorious
  8. Gotta go back to the classics: That bridge ("In the chill of night...") is what does it for me.
  9. Poor SMS'er is gonna be SOL. Nice to see someone bust out a custom of the VF-25.
  10. This is about the closest you can get it (From Wicked Ace's pic collection): Wicked Ace also did one of the YF-19 sorta mimicking the YF-21's high-speed mode.

    Flexi-Stand Poses

[Emperor Palpatine style]: Now witness the true power of the flexi with this fully-armed and fully-loaded 1/48 Valk! Another shot of a flexi holding a slightly-beyond vertical pose (this time with the -19). Also, thanks for the compliments and for even considering posting one of my pics, m0n5t3r. But I've always consider these poses to be my favorite go-to shot for showing off how awesome the flexi's can be: For me, I usually use a flexi with one rod of each length (i.e., one 2-inch prong, one 4-inch prong, and one 6-inch prong) for my poses.
  12. Mmmmmmmm, Thunder Hummer Yumminess!
  13. Nah, they'll probably still butcher it by pronouncing "St. John" as "Saint John" rather than "Sinjun." Speaking of which, who the frak names their sons Stringfellow and St. John?
  14. myk, what's that P-51 Mustang-looking fighter there?
  15. I know I've posted this pic before, but these two bastards are my personal fave's: Yes, I like all of the various Valks I own and have spent many hours stickering up, panel-lining (some of them), and fussing over 'em to get their poses just right. But the extra time, effort, and planning that went into these two particular valks is what makes them special to me. To see your custom ideas and schemes come to physical fruition can be very rewarding. That's why they're my sentimental favorites.
  16. Love the switched focus on those last two photos! Great composition, set-up, and poses.
  17. Well shoot, if we had some more enemy mechas, we wouldn't have to resort to fighting amongst ourselves. Besides, Millia and Nora are liable to kill the snot out of anyone not named Max or Ivanov that tries to get a little "frisky" with them! So, our poor Valks need to get some pent-up aggression out.
  18. Although its highly doubtful that something with wings that small could ever launch off the ground, the overall look and size of the X-19 makes her quite a beaut'. And once you extend the wings and pop out the machine guns? The Phantom takes on an almost bat-like appearance. I still have a complete one (with functional but slightly damaged landing gear) chilling back at my parents' place. Also, the Phantom's pilot, Ghostrider, would be my Number Two choice for a character Hasbro hasn't remade in the modern line.
  19. Sweet in-flight pics, eugi! To add a bit more on how I approach "working" with the flexi's: I usually start by imagining how I'm gonna set up a pose. Then I adjust the rods to a position where I can get the stand to hold the correct pose and angle. In other words, I try to make the pose dictate how the flexi should be positioned; not allow the flexi to dictate how the pose should be. Of course, there's a lot of futzing, repositioning, and using different parts of the plane to hold a particular pose or tweak an angle ever so slightly. I've found the ventral fins and the leg FP nozzles on a lot of the birds to be quite useful as a rod placement point. The flat underbelly of the FP'ed YF-21 with all its little nooks and crannies is also pretty flexi-friendly. Additionally, using different lengths for each rod usually helps a bit when coming up with more dynamic poses. And different lengths are absolutely essential if you're gonna attempt any battroid poses. In any case, less words, more pictures: Well, well. Look what decided to pop up out of its foxhole. . .must suck to be you. Blackjack: Alright, Old Man. The -19's MINE. . . "superior plane" my ass. Stealth: Fine, I'll take out the -11. . . bringing a bloody bayonet to an Itano circus.
  20. ^^Maybe they can sober up Jan-Michael Vincent enough to make a cameo, or cast him as the new Archangel.
  21. Thanks, eugi! Next photo: <In an awful, fake French accent>: "Love, 'ate [hate]............Ehh. It is all PASSION!!!"
