    Yamato $2000 DYRL MACROSS

In case someone at Yamato is reading this thread: Just because a few of us may NOT purchase this DYRL version of the Macross doesn't mean we won't buy a TV version later on down the road. Assuming it's reasonably priced, let me just say, I WILL PURCHASE A TV-VERSION SDF-1 IF YOU RELEASE ONE. With that said, DYRL Attacker mode looks good so far. With something this size, I really hope all of those joints have beautiful click-click ratchet joints. Hopefully, the fully painted version will look intricately detailed too.

    YAMATO

If they ain't making what you want, then just don't buy. Personally, I've already reached a saturation point with the VF-1 Valks. I'm sure the 1/60 V2's are solid as heck, but I'm cool with the 1/48's I already own. Nothing against the V2 1/60's, mind you. But I'm just not driven to collect them. Now if Yamato made Regults or a TV-style SDF-1?! . . . I also wouldn't mind if they tried a few variations or new designs from the Zero, Plus, 7, and other Macross lines. But we'll see what the future holds. At the very least, Yamato is listening to the fans and releasing the remaining two-seaters relatively soon. I know a number of folks have be clamoring for those two-seaters for YEARS now.

    Flexi-Stand Poses

Alright, Gunpod71. Now ya' gotta sticker or decal that bird up properly.
  10. I just wanna see a couple of perpetrators scream out lines from his old movies while they're getting arrested. The more obscure the better.
  11. So which one of you crazy bastards is gonna say, "Screw it!" and make a custom Skystriker out of this puppy?
  12. Well,
  13. Thanks A7. Now I won't be able to get that bloody song out of my head! We're Cold SLITHER!! You'll be joining us soon! A band of vipers playing our tune!!
  14. As an alternative, you can also try those .005 or .01 micron pens. You can usually find them at most art supply stores.
  15. In addition:
  16. Very interesting tid-bits there! It actually adds fuel to a point I brought up earlier:
  17. D'OH!! Didn't realize Edgar LaSalle was Shin's RIO (remembered the character but forgot his name).
  18. I was focusing primarily on Vic's 8/21 and 8/22 posts. Instead of re-hashing a "This movie is utter shite" post, he at least elaborated a bit on why he disliked the film. Attack the arguments, not the person. That's all. In any case, I'm glad to see District 9's got some legs to her. As I've said a number of times in other posts, we really need more films that entertain our brains and aren't just simple eye-candy; a film where we can walk out of the theater, and it gets us going into in-depth discussions, topics, and conversations. District 9 thankfully delivered on that front.
  19. An artist's own interpretation of the events in nugundamII's rant (including the initial loss of the bellyplate): Link
  20. I actually loved that "Return of the King"-like aspect of the finale. As I was watching the second half of that last episode, I knew the ending was coming soon. But I wanted that "good-bye" to be stretched out as long as possible. It's sorta like that feeling where you know the party's gonna end soon, but you just want to hold on and hang out. . .just a little bit more.
  21. Yup, Stiglitz could just flat-out kill you on a turn of a dime. But Mr. Blonde? Mr. Blonde will kill ya WITH FLAIR! And only in a Tarantino film can you learn two useless (but still quite interesting) bits of obscure film and international trivia. It may not be a Royale with Cheese, but I can say I learned two interesting bits of knowledge from Basterds.
  22. I ain't asking her to be the pilot. Just man the radar, let me know where the bogies are at, and keep the all the weapons and systems up and running. I'm sure Misa's got enough skill to handle those tasks.
  23. Shouldn't we add Millia? (She was in the back of the Virgin Road Valk). Assuming the back-seat driver will be a RIO or an NFO, I'd rather have Misa back there. All the other folks on the poll could become a liability in a combat situation. But Misa's got the training, familiarity, and experience with the Valks and the squads to keep me alive and landing safely back on the Prometheus. As for Millia, I'd rather have her as a wingman, where she can do the most damage and ass-kicking. To make her a RIO would be like taking a master gourmet chef and asking them to just boil some potatoes.
